Check your order before you leave! I've been a customer since the original Anaheim location was just a pop-up, so this review is disappointing to write. This location has gotten my order wrong multiple times, even though my order is very simple. This most recent visit, I ordered tacos and a taco salad. When I got home, I realized my tacos were missing, and the taco salad didn't even have guacamole. I called to get a refund for the tacos I never received. I was on hold for about 15 minutes, and instead of issuing a refund, they kept offering me store credit. Then they hung up on me. Every time I called back, they hung up again. I finally had to call from a different phone number just to speak with someone. It shouldn't be this difficult to get a refund for items that were never included in my order. If you decide to eat here, please check your order before leaving. Don't assume everything is in the bag. Unfortunately, this location has made too many mistakes, and their customer service made the situation even worse. I won't be coming back to this location. read more

The food is not comparable to the Tacos Los Cholos in Anaheim which grills their meat outback, but still good solid taste and portions. You might just miss the char flavor! All that aside, the service is pretty awesome and they check frequently to make sure everything is going well. They have an amazing salsa bar and I did appreciate that everything was labeled. Lots of hot options, the serrano was my favorite! Parking was easy enough for a Friday afternoon, but the lot did still seem to be very full. As long as I live in the area, I will never stop going to Los Cholos. They've adopted a 'wait to be seated, server comes to you to take your order' model. My friends and I grabbed dinner here at the end of the weekend. I'd been wanting to come here for several years ever since my former roommate I lived with in Anaheim told me how stuffed the tacos are at Tacos los Cholos. Ordering was mostly seamless here. My friends and I were each able to order and pay separately even though we ordered table side, which was super convenient and much appreciated. After ordering, we took turns grabbing condiments from the self-serve salsa bar. I'm a minimalist, so all I got was cilantro, onions, and lime wedges. Once the tacos arrived, I realized they were pretty stuffed, so I ate some of the meat with a fork first before picking them up to finish eating. All the tacos were pretty bland. My friends added sauces for more flavor, but I don't like sauces, so I stuck with my method. I thought the meat would've had more seasoning like other taco restaurants I've been to, so they were a bit of a letdown. Quality is really high and they're generous with the portions of meat per taco, which is always appreciated. Tacos come with meat and tortilla only, but can add cheese and/or guac. Tons of meat options but the pork belly is the personal favorite. Salsa and toppings bar provided. Also worth knowing -- they do more than just tacos. I went over all the reviews on Yelp and everybody said the lunch time was crowded and waited for a long time to order the foods. I got there at 4:30 and noticed half dining area was not filled. Thank God! I ordered right away to our server. Regular, premium, prime 3 tiers for the meats and 3.9% surcharge of credit card payment included the prices. I got one asada, one pork marinated tacos, chips and Guac for $8.79, my hubby got 4 asadas. Taco price w 3.9% credit card service charge is $3.21, $3.09 cash payment. They don't have alcohol drinks. I took a bottle of water from home for me. No choice for drinks for my hubby. I felt the service was not friendly, terrible, our server forced me to pay the bill before I got the foods. She didn't give us any forks, napkins, etc without any explanation how to order the foods or self service for the salsa bar, forks and napkins. I didn't know anything about their system. The salsa bar has lots of different salsas, red spicy, green, pico de gallo, onion pickles, sliced cucumbers, radish, chopped onions, cilantro, limes, and etc. We got the tacos in 15 mins. I smelled the charcoal flavor as soon as I bit my taco. The beef and pork are so tender, flavorful w lots of toppings, salsas, and guacamole. I got Happy feeling w tacos....haha. My hubby liked 4 asada tacos. Tender beefs, flavorful salsas, extra Guac, and etc. He said I will be back soon for more tacos and Taco Tuesday. Excited about Taco Tuesday. Came here several times and love this place! I would say it's one of the top five taco restaurants in the OC! They have a wide and solid variety of items in their menu, but I would recommend getting anything with arrechera (skirt steak). Whether it's their tacos, burritos, quesadillas, or pizza! However be warned it can be pretty overall greasy and saucy, so even though the food is great, it can sometimes leave you not feeling so great afterwards if you overdo it! That's the only thing! My wife and I went to the new charcoal grilled Taco place in Fullerton. This is popular taco chain restaurant as charcoal grilled meats. We tried to avoid lunch time on Sat. We arrived around 4:30 and no problem to find a table. We ordered 1 asada, 1 marinated pork tacos for my wife, 4 asada tacos for me and chips and Guac, one coke for me. 100% worth the hype. This was my 2nd visit and I was not disappointed. We went on a Saturday afternoon so it was very busy. There were not any tables readily available so we opted to take our order to go. You have the option to order via kiosk or in person. We ordered a pastor mulita and asada tacos. And oh my goodness they were SO good! I'm still thinking about them a week later. The food arrived fairly quickly after ordering (maybe we waited 10-12 minutes), despite the vast amount of people. Tacos Los Cholos in Fullerton definitely has larger parking lot compared to the Anaheim location, but don't be fooled, you still have to drive around a bit to snag a spot, especially on a weekend. Weekday nights aren't terrible but expect to have a bit of a walk from the back of the lot. I love the staff here! They were so kind and checked in with me when I was looking for napkins. The service was crazy fast! I think they're more efficient here because someone seats you and takes your order. At Anaheim, you need to order at the register and then seat yourself. We were surprised at how quickly our order came out, but (again) this was on a Monday. We normally take the food to go and that does take a while. My go-to is their asada. Their adobada is also solid. I tried their mulita for the first time and it was delicious. One is enough because there is plenty of meat and cheese. I ordered a mineragua sparking water, and not only was the bottle chilled, the also brought me a large cup with ice. Pricing is average. We both enjoyed Tacos Los Cholos in Anaheim, so my boyfriend and I were excited to try their Fullerton location. It was at night and the parking lot was packed and the exterior lighting here was burnt out so it was dark. The plaza should really look into that for safety. At we approached we can see a crowd of people wait outside the restaurant. This location is really organized. They have a line for takeout, and a host stand in front for dine in. They told us it would be around 20-25 minutes, which is pretty accurate of an estimate. At their other location the dine ins order in line and fight for a table, but here they will seat you and take your order. Service was super friendly and on top of things. The pricing here varies if your protein is a regular, premium or prime. There is also a different price for cash versus credit card payment. My boyfriend had a burrito, 2 tacos, and a Coke ($2.08/can). I had a Pork Belly Taco ($4.15), Ribeye Taco ($9.14), Adobada Quesadilla ($9.87), and a Horchata ($4.94). While waiting for our food, we went to their sauce bar for sauce and condiments. They really stay on top of refilling these 2 stations, one in the front and one in the back of the restaurant. My favorite sauces were the aguacate and the chimichurri. And the radishes give a nice relief after the spicy bites of chile. Yum! Loved all the food. I think the adobada and pork belly were just better value. The ribeye was good but not sure it's good enough to be triple a regular protein and more than double a premium protein. Still worth a try if you're visiting for the first time. Tacos Los Cholos is one of my trusted taco joints while I'm in OC... but if you're in LA, stay in LA for the tacos out there. read more

This place has some of the best tacos I've ever had. My wife and I ordered a number of different tacos as well as a papa loka. Our favorite meats were the beef intestine and the rib eye. I'm not normally a fan of beef intestine, but the one here is amazing and a MUST TRY! Has a nice chewy/crispy texture that you don't get with any other kind of meat. Seriously, don't pass up the beef intestine. All of the meats here have good flavor from the fact that they are grilled using charcoal so you really can't go wrong with whatever you choose. I love this location better than the original location. Less chaotic and seems like from a year ago, they've changed the process to get seated. Honestly better that they track the line because it feels less chaotic and less rushed. You check in with someone in front and they will call you in and you order & pay at the table. As one who always seeks the optimal, prime carne asada is the way. I ordered prime ribeye and prime filet mignon - medium-rare. The steak is expertly grilled over a mesquite charcoal fire, which layers fantastic smoky flavor on top of high quality meats. There's a reason why ribeye is my favorite cut. The large meaty chunks are the perfect balance of bold beefy flavor and rich marbling. The filet mignon is no slouch either and it's the softest, most tender meat you can find in a taco. Also, the salsa bar is glorious. Every salsa is so delicious and a couple are actually pretty fiery. The chile gueros are a bit caramelized. Spring for the grilled cebollitas. It's tender and juicy and yes $9/tacos, but they don't skimp out on the meat!! The arrachera and tripes are my 2nd and third favorite. I ordered the pork belly, but I guess they made a mistake and gave me steak instead. It's still delicious. Horchata is on point. Sweet and creamy. The place is pretty clean for a Mexican restaurant. I went with my college hiking group of 12 people and we got a table reserved ahead of time which ensured we all were able to have seats ready for us once we all got there. They provide water when you sit down which is a nice touch. The menu is surprisingly simple with three tiers of meat options. I ended up getting the carne asada mulitas with chips and guac. There is also a salsa bar provided. Secondly don't expect to be seated as easily since it's always busy even between lunch and dinner hours. Unfortunately order was left out so they informed me about the mistake but remade my order without any charge. Overall I did have a good experience and I will go back again. Not sure if it's placebo, but I do think the Anaheim branch tastes a bit better--the meats seem juicier and smokier there. However, considering that parking is easier here and the interior is nicer, I think it's an acceptable trade off for a 10% difference in taste. After about 10 minutes of waiting. A second, waitress next to us noticed we were all looking around. She asked if we had been helped, told her no so she apologized and took over. (She was very kind and polite) Food was great came out fast But once it was time to pay we sat there again for 10 minutes waiting to get the check. We had to call a different(now third) waitress over to close our bill out. There was no sign of our first or second waitress. As we sat there waiting for our receipt we saw our first waitress, she didn't once come up to our table to check on us. It almost took 5 minutes to get the receipt. I didn't know what to expect when coming to this location. I am used to the Anaheim location which can get very busy during lunch hours. I ended up coming here after work and arriving around 4pm. Surprisingly no line and hardly anyone in the restaurant. I ordered 15 minutes ahead thinking it would be super busy. I ended up dining in when i received my food. The employees were nice and attentive. I really love everything about this establishment (Anaheim + Fullerton locations). The salsa bar is amazing and they offer a wide variety of salsas. I ordered regular, premium and prime tacos, a burrito and horchata. Everything was super delicious. You can even purchase the regular tacos and they are to die for. Asada for the win at this place. I would love to try the pork belly cholo pizza, as i keep hearing such great things about it. This is fast becoming my favorite taco place. They really need to start doing taco tuesday deals and serve nachos. I would be coming here a lot more if they did. A serve yourself salsa bar with all the toppings really puts this place on a top tier taco level. I will most definitely keep coming back to try the other things on the menu.
