I'll preface that we went for Mother's Day so I knew it would be busy, but I'm not sure if that was the case here. We had a 6:15 reservation and were sat around 6:45. The restaurant looked half full, and they had staff walking around but I feel like our service was pretty slow. We were ready to order but nobody checked on us for a while and we didn't start eating until around 7:45-8pm. The food was mid-tier and I don't think the taste of the food justifies the prices. My salad had a really strong manchego dusting and that's all I could really taste. The real upside was that it is pretty inside, but not pretty enough to warrant a return to this establishment.

Second time at Lagos and it delivered again. What do you do when Cinco de Mayo falls on Taco Tuesday. Go have tacos at Lagos, por supuesto? We've had Rene as our server both visits, and he's been outstanding each time. He was running both the bar and the floor--clearly busy--but you'd never know it from the level of service. Attentive, friendly, professional, and dialed in the whole night. Jacob, his assistant, was just as knowledgeable and helpful. Service is a solid 5/5--our water glasses never went empty. Drinks were on point across the board. The Presidential Margaritas, Paloma, and jalapeño margarita were all excellent, and their tequila selection is strong. Food is consistently good, but the standout surprise is the Chilean sea bass--easily the best dish I've had on the menu so far. Tacos are solid as well. I noticed they offer steaks, and that's definitely next on my list for a return visit. Great experience both times. If you go, ask for Rene--you'll be taken care of.

My friend and I had dinner there last night and everything was perfect! Our server Thanya was wonderful. She patiently explained a lot of stuff to us on the menu. My friend got the salmon and I had a special request dinner that was happily accommodated due to limited chewing from oral surgery I recently had. Our drinks were very well presented and yummy. The bartender even came over to check on us and make sure the drinks were OK. Looking forward to coming back and trying different things on the menu.

We recently visited Lagos Mexican cuisine for the first time and it was a great experience. Everyone was very friendly and kind. The food was delicious and the drinks were even better. The bartender was very friendly and experienced with the drinks! I also think that the volume of the music was just enough to have good ambience, but enough to still carry out a fun conversation! Beautiful place overall!

Upscale Mexican with handcrafted cocktails, rare tequilas, and meticulously plated dishes. Warm, attentive servers and a modern, trendy interior with stunning design. Pricey but an elevated experience. The atmosphere here is a 12/10 ! I got the dish where they set the food on fire ! it low key tasted like butane or something though but besides that they got the best pancakes I have had in my life !!

S/o to our awesome server Thanya! She was really helpful and sweet! This place is gorgeous! Definitely feels like an upscale Mexican restaurant! The presentation of the good also fits the vibe! The food was pretty good. From what we ordered the Brussel Sprouts were our favorite! It's kind of wack they don't offer complimentary chips & salsa... we had to pay and lowkey the salsas weren't incredible to justify having to order chips & salsa. This is a place you go to on a date to make your date feel special or for a meal with an elegant setting.

We came in here really wanting to like this place. My first drink that was a Mazapan Martini was so delicious with a beautiful flower on top. The second time I ordered the same drink it tasted the same but looked different. Was sad that the look of the drink was not consistent. We ordered a Patron flight that nobody could drink because it wasn't good at all. So disappointing. We had a party of 12 people that we called and made reservations for ahead of time. I had the Mar Y Tiera (surf & turf), and it was flavorless. I've had better steaks at Texas Roadhouse. Lobster had no flavor. Some of our party received their food. Others were waiting a while to get their food and one person received his food when everyone else was just about done eating. The service was really lacking big time with drinks, food, and all. Even though the restaurant was nearly empty. We were also excited to order the large hanging steak that they light on fire in front of you, but even that was anti climatic. The guy doing it looked so miserable that it just made it a sad experience. We did complain and a manager came and tried to fix things, but it was honestly too late. Some of us ordered desserts just to try them but we were already full cause we ate the food anyways cause we were hungry, that dessert was just a shot at redemption for this place. Sadly the dessert fell flat too. The manager brought us a free dessert plate but we were already too full to eat it. It was just pointless. Sad to say that we wouldn't come here again and I really hope they work on their service, consistency, and quality. Thank you to the manager who seemed to be the happiest person working there but please lift your staff up too.

FOOD: 3/5 Premium Black Angus Tomahawk 5/5 Fried Calamari 2/5 Tacos Asada 2/5 Salmon We ordered their famous 40 oz Tomahawk steak ($175) . The wow factor really comes with the presentation - the 40 oz bone in steak came with a flair where it actually charred and sliced right at our table - very instagrammable in that sense. The steak is huge and easily feeds 2 or maybe 3 people with side orders. Initially, the meat had a distinct taste, likely from herbs or spices I wasn't used to. We asked to have it re-cooked a bit more in the kitchen, and it came out good the second time. My husband was hoping for the Chilean Sea Bass, but only the salmon was available that evening.Unfortunately, both the salmon and the carne asada tacos didn't taste quite as fresh as we expected. Even the chips seemed like they have been sitting out, though our server was very kind and brought us a fresh batch when we asked. SERVICE: 5/5 We came on a Wednesday for 6 pm reservation. Brianna - our server was incredibly professional and attentive. AMBIANCE: 3/5 It is a large space, but the place is more understated rather than the high-end, elegant vibe I was expecting. Plenty of parking spots including a nearby parking structure.

We were thoroughly very pleased with the dinner we had on Saturday evening. I made reservations to be safe but at 5pm on a Saturday, you don't really have to worry about seating availability. The hostess and server and bartender were all so nice and attentive. Plenty of seating inside and it looks like there are additional rooms to the side of the bar. Not sure if they're private though. We ordered the scallops for our appetizer and some cocktails to start off. The scallops were served on a bed of veggies and rice. I thought it was just decor however, it was the most amazing addition to the scallops. We licked the plate clean! For dinner, I ordered the shrimp enchiladas. I would've hoped for some cheese inside the enchilada, that would be my only gripe, but the plate itself was amazing. The beans I did not care for as much. We are looking forward to our future visit here for sure!

I actually really wanted to LOVE this place. I am a believer of giving things one more try because they could've just had an off night. I did order the Sol de Pasion, the first drink which I ordered for my friend was PERFECT! Then I ordered one and another round for my friend and it was too sweet. While we waited for the server to come back to us we did get our food and appetizers. The Tres Amigos Guac was really just an order of three of the same guacamoles with different toppings. Blah! It also needed salt and pepper and some lemon/lime! The ribeye plate came I ordered mine with shrimp scampi which wasn't on the menu...they brought it as a side dish on my ribeye plate and not as a side smothered in the butter creamed sauce that I saw on Yelp which is why I asked for it...granted it's not on the menu but something they've made as a special before and it was a hit so it's on the secret menu and they will make if you ask. I will say this dish blew my mind but needs more sauce. The ribeye...oh the ribeye...I would've been better with the tomahawk but I figured the ribeye is BUT a smaller portion of that and will do good for me. WRONG!!! NO taste! Very thin cut with too much marbling. We even told the server more seasoning is needed, whether it be salt or pepper. She brought us more scampi sauce which my friend requested which we loved and went well over the steak or just to dip. I just believe this place has potential to be better. Service was hot and cold. We were the first table there "but" service still ran wrong. Hard to imagine that service wasn't up to par when we were the first people there and later on there were 3 tables. I had to flag someone down and that was even after having my drink for a while and the food coming. Once I did get her attention, she did remake the drinks with less of the passion fruit sweetener which again was perfect! The only amazing thing about this place is the stunning view! It's extremely beautiful. I think maybe next time because I will give it one more try maybe in the far, far future, I will try their tacos or enchiladas. Maybe that's what they're know for although they said it was their steaks. I also regret tipping 18% for a service not so well done. Oh well...next time. I didn't even think about it because I was having a good time catching up.

    Nayarit Mango Salad w/ steak
    Jazel M.

Let me start by saying I loved the dim lighting--the vibe and ambiance were definitely on point. I came here for a friend's birthday, and the decor really set the mood for a nice night out. We ordered margaritas, and while I don't remember the exact name, our waiter hyped it up as a popular choice... unfortunately, it was way too sweet. I still drank it because I don't like sending things back, but it wasn't what I was hoping for. When we asked for recommendations, he kept emphasizing presentation over flavor--which was a bit frustrating. I care more about taste than how it looks. For dinner, I ordered the Nayarit mango salad with steak, and that was actually very flavorful--probably the highlight of the meal. However, things went downhill when we got the bill. I was charged $39.99 for my salad with steak, which didn't make sense. The menu listed the salad at $15.99, with steak as an additional charge (around $8), so the total shouldn't have been anywhere near that. I brought it up, and after I questioned it, the waiter came back with an explanation about a "Valentine's special"... which didn't really add up considering we're almost in April. The price was eventually adjusted, but the situation left a bad impression. It felt like I had to catch an error that shouldn't have happened in the first place. Overall: great ambiance and decor, decent food, but the service and billing issue really threw me off. Will I come back? Probably not.

While in soCal Came here for bridal shower dinner, the ambiance was absolutely amazing! Our server was very attentive and nice. The place was so beautiful and elegant. Even the bathroom decor was 10/10 I ordered the Yucatán shrimp enchiladas and this has been once of the best enchiladas I've ever had. They had a lot of flavor and it was a great portion of food for the price. All of the girls liked their food. I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area again

It's not a big restaurant but they spaced it out great and have a great bar, western, Hispanic vibe to the whole place. I loved the artwork and photos with frames. And the mushrooms ... usually at buffets have dry or oily food and this was pretty damn good to be honest. I think it's a solid business plan to do taco Tuesday like this. On top of all that the mini churros were good, the salsas were delicious. The chips were alright I think that's the only thing that was ok for me but overall I enjoyed myself very much. ALSO!!! You're better off parking along the streets and walking here. It's a casual dining so you order and then sit wherever you want. There's indoor and outdoor seating. During rush hour, it's pretty hectic. The salsa and toppings bar is located right next to the ordering line, so people were constantly squeezing past each other to get through. It wasn't very convenient, and with the restaurant already being on the smaller side, it could easily feel cramped and overwhelming for anyone who doesn't like tight spaces. However, I do like that there is an open salsa and toppings bar. They even have pickled onions, radish, and carrots. The salsas were very good as well, not overly spicy. I tried the carne asada, pastor, and chicken tacos. All of which were really good and well marinated. Meats were tender and not dry at all. Easily some of the best fish tacos in Orange County, and I can't believe it took me three years to finally try it. I'll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of the menu.

Food has always been good. Tried the fish taco combo with rice and beans. I have also tried the shrimp ceviche and the fish ceviche. I would recommend it all. When you order the ceviche you get a good amount of ceviche and they give you two tostadas. If you are not very hungry a ceviche tostada is probably the right amount to order and under $10. If you are hungry, try one of the combos. This last time I tried it was this last Sunday at around 5pm. The place was packed inside and there were also a few people sitting outside. It was not very loud inside which was nice. Place was clean inside and out. Customer service has always been ok. From placing orders the phone to in person service.

They had complimentary chips and salsa waiting for us on the table. It's on the spicier side, so just a warning! I got the Enchiladas Verdes with chicken and suizas sauce. It's also topped with melted cheese and sour cream with Mexican rice and beans on the side. This dish comes with two enchiladas, and they were very tasty! I really enjoyed their suizas sauce. I also tried some of the Chile Relleno. It's a roasted Anaheim chile stuffed with melted cheese, dipped in egg batter, and then fried. This one had a little kick to it, but it was tasty nonetheless! It was our friend's birthday, and they brought him a scoop of ice cream! They also offered to bring out a sombrero for him to wear, but he declined. Fun spot to celebrate birthdays!

Farolito of Fullerton has a much smaller, more intimate space than I expected. Although it's as a restaurant, it feels more like a tapas bar with a strong happy hour atmosphere. The vibe is quite different from El Farito on Placentia, which offers a more traditional sit-down dining experience and more family-oriented. Even though table service is available, the overall ambiance made me decide to order at the counter instead as it's noticeably different. I order potato taquitos and lack potatoes. It's purely cheese so I was disappointed. However, the hard taco with grounded beef was yummy. The salsa is not as good as it was very watery.
