It's been the same dirt lot since the house was built over a decade ago. We finally decided to get it done so our new dog could have a nice place to play, especially during the summers, where we can control the heat levels. JJ and associate came out quickly and made me feel really comfortable. There was no weird upselling (I wanted something really plain) and no fear mongering. I could tell immediately that we were going to go with Rock N Block so I cancelled my other appointment with a different company and put my deposit down right away. Within hours, JJ had the plans to me and I got the HOA paperwork started. Once that was done, I was scheduled immediately to have my yard worked on. The day of, the workers came, did a final measurement and got to work. It took 3 days but it came out exactly like I was promised and had envisioned myself. The workers were extremely friendly and self contained. They were responsible and trustworthy. They were also very concerned with my happiness. They asked me if things were looking good quite a few times. They literally made my yard perfect. I'm still looking for imperfections and cannot find them. If there were any complaints, the communication could be more but to be honest, they give information and don't feel the need to consistently remind you, which is also good. We did have a small hiccup where the workers didn't know they had to install a few other things but JJ made it right immediately and I can only be happy about that. I'd rather have the problem be solved immediately then get a phone call being told it would be done, although I can see how some people would want both. Pricing was fair in my opinion. I was told it should have been less expensive but I don't think so. The job is immaculate and the items are gorgeous with great quality. The craftsmanship means a lot to me and I would pay for it again. I wish I took some before pictures but I completely forgot to. Imagine a literal nothing of a yard. Now, it's gorgeous and I can't wait to accessorize!

We agreed to pay for the plants and he said he would call us back to schedule the service. He did not and he is again ignoring and will not return our calls. I paid over $3000 for gravel in the rear yard, and water lines. This price also included an upgrade from the normal front yard landscaping: river rock, trees, assorted vegetation and a dry river bed in the front yard. I moved into my Mesquite home in April 2022. A few months later, we had a wind storm that snapped my tree in half. I assumed that the tree was simply my loss until my next door neighbor advised me that Alec had told him the tree could be replaced and was under warranty. I called and I texted Alec many, many times and he never responded. It was very frustrating and like so many other vendors in Mesquite, it felt like a 'churn and burn' situation. Even a single response that "the tree was not under warranty" or "I am too busy to contact you currently, but will be in contact shortly", would have been better than the silence I received. My neighbor's tree was also damaged and died. Alec does good work but don't expect him to respond if you need something remediated.
