WORST LANDSCAPING SERVICE EVER. Today, these horrible "landscapers" broke yet ANOTHER of my lawn ornaments/home decorations while they were cleaning up their mess from a tree trimming this morning (and for the record they did a very sloppy job of "cleaning up" - there are still flowers and fronds all over my porch). This one was a squirrel in my front window. Why were they aiming a BLOWER at my WINDOW? And of course I had to discover it for myself as they did not bother to report this to me even though they knew I was home (I had to move our truck so they could trim the tree so they knew I was here). This is the sixth or seventh time this has happened. They have broken or destroyed Christmas and Halloween decorations, lawn ornaments (including a very expensive wind spinner that was a gift from my mother in law), and other home decor items, and even one of our front windows. On one occasion, they even tripped a breaker by using our exterior outlet to power a portable microwave and did not notify us that they had done so, which resulted in our chest freezer losing power. By the time we discovered this, we had lost over $250 worth of frozen meat and food. I have complained to the company many times and the woman who answers the phone at Odyssey is very rude and abusive (she has actually insulted me on more than one occasion) when I have actually gotten through to her. Now when I call she never answers the phone and does not return my calls. This is completely unacceptable. I have tried to repair the squirrel statue (they left the pieces on the ground) but apparently some of the pieces were thrown out so it is not repairable. At this point I do not expect to be reimbursed for our collective losses, or even receive an apology, but I am so frustrated and tired of this. This company is poorly managed, and many of their employees are not well trained (if at all), are completely unprofessional, and many of them do not even speak English so it is impossible to communicate with them. The company needs to be held accountable for their poor practices, sloppy service, and careless employees. read more

Our apartment complex is serviced by these people and they are lax in every facet of landscape care including irrigation issues, no shrub trimming, not picking up debris, poor attitudes when shown shoddy maintenance, and not able to keep a set day to perform their work! read more

The WORST in Mesquite! These losers have an EIGHTY THOUSAND DOLLAR annual contract with my HOA and their crew probably spends 5 minutes a week blowing leaves ON TO my property. They are lazy, have zero attention to detail, and the owner is a flake. Do not use this company for any reason- they are guaranteed to disappoint. read more

I don't understand the bad reviews, I had a good experience with Odyssey. An irrigation line that runs under my driveway leaked. I called and they were here within 45 minutes, replaced the line in less that an hour at a very reasonable price. read more

HORRIBLE landscaping service! They make more of a mess than they do good. They don't know how to trim bushes, they wouldn't know a weed if it bit them. They kill the trees they just planted, no concept of how to use a weed whacker! It wasn't meant for the truck of a newly planted tree! I don't know why Colonial PM continues to use them except they are just as bad on their end of service! They are both a total joke and we, the homeowner is paying for really BAD SERVICE from both places! read more

Absolutely the worst landscapers I have ever encountered. They have broken or damaged multiple items in my yard and when I reported these damages, they refused to call me back even though I made multiple requests. The woman who runs the office is rude and unprofessional, and very few of the workers speak English, so as a result they don't understand you when you try to talk to them. They do a terrible job trimming trees and bushes in particular - they nearly killed my oleanders last year and I had to stop them from doing it again this year, even though I had a standing request that they leave them alone. I would absolutely not recommend them and would have given them less than one star if Yelp allowed it. read more

we're forced to use them because Colonial Property Management (which is also an absolute farce of a company) have some kind of nepotistic relationship. Odyssey is rarely present in any capacity except to do a once a month half-assed mow of the law at top height and a semi-monthly cull where they come through and outright remove plants that their negligence has caused to die or otherwise butcher and destroy the plants they're "tending to." It takes them forever to get around to service requests and instead of fixing the problem they literally have just put tape or a stopper on the water leaks instead of addressing the infrastructural problems their poor landscaping strategies cause. If you have the option to not go with Odyssey I highly recommend you avoid them. If, like me, you are unfortunately forced to suffer their incompetence, consider putting bear traps around your plants if you want them to live. read more

My mom said specifically - "nice folks, good prices for services, very respectful and did an excellent job. They gave me good ideas, had integrity and provided good quality. At this point, I would not recommend Odyssey Landscaping to anyone - non responsive to phone calls on issues as well as promising resolution on items in violation as pointed out by the HOA. I am still waiting on Nestor to stand behind their warrantee on dead plants ..... they are very expensive for the lack of service received once they receive your money. read more

Odyssey came out to our house and we spent half hour and in a plan telling Nester what we wanted and the day of installation they planted everything we asked him not too. I would recommend this company. read more

We're not happy with Odyssey Landscaping right now. We had them come out to do a bid over 2 weeks ago and Nester said he would send us an email with the bid in 2-3 days. We still haven't received it and we did check our junk mail box. We called him twice and left messages and he never responded. The other major landscaping company here came out and gave us a bid the same day and had it in the email the next day. Odyssey should have had the decency to at least call us and let us know why they didn't send it. They must not need the business bad enough. read more
