So, I had high hopes for this place, but overall it was a bit of a letdown. I ordered 8 tacos (6…read moreasada, 1 chorizo, 1 chicharrón), 1 burrito, and 1 crunchy asada taco. The asada tacos actually had decent flavor -- although the meat was a little on the salty side. Not a deal breaker, but noticeable. The chorizo taco? Honestly, tasted just like the kind you buy at any grocery store and cook at home -- nothing special at all. I was hoping for that rich, house-made taste, but nope. The chicharrón taco was probably the most disappointing -- it was basically a cuerito taco. No real meat, just soft skin, so not what I was expecting. But what really killed the experience for me was the salsa situation. They gave me just two small containers of salsa for everything. The red one was tasty, and the green one was basic but good -- but come on, two little salsas for 8 tacos and a burrito? No limes, no radishes, nothing to help bring the tacos together. We ended up trying to ration the salsa, and without enough, the tacos felt dry. Everyone knows a taco needs to have that salsa dripping down and a good squeeze of lime to really come alive -- otherwise, it's just meat on a tortilla. I'm giving it 3 stars because the asada tacos had potential. But the overall execution, especially the lack of salsa and sides, really brought the meal down. Probably won't be rushing back.

You can genuinely feel the passion and pride they have for what they do, and it shows in every detail. I regret not taking a photo of our food because the presentation alone was stunning. I was just so excited to eat it haha my husband and I did the Sunday brunch and they had everything you could possibly be craving. But even more impressive were the flavors -- absolutely unforgettable. Every bite reflected authentic Mexican roots, from the perfectly seasoned meats and spices to the beautifully plated dishes. Their horchata was refreshing and delicious, and the homemade corn tortillas so sooo amazing! Everything was Fresh, hot, and simply next level. We originally came just to test out their food, and we left getting their number to book them for our baby shower! The quality, flavor, and service exceeded all expectations. The fact that they offer catering makes it even better -- we cannot wait to sit down and go over the details with them. If you're craving authentic Mexican food made with heart, this is the place. You won't just leave satisfied -- you'll leave in love.

Example: their mole is going to be different than traditional mole from Oaxaca (and other regions). Food: Authentic. I married a Tapatia. It's like my mother-in-law jumped in the kitchen. Out-of-bounds! Service: Amazing. Friendly and helpful. Frequently checking in. Standout: Sunday brunch buffet. They serve you so it's not a bunch of grubby hands-type of buffet. Sample many of their plate offerings and can add menudo or pozole. Cafe de Olla. Free refills. All for a generous price (IMO). My 4th favorite Mexican Brunch place other than home, my mother-in law's or my mom's. It's good. Cons: Spoons. Too flat. Need deeper spoons to fit more food into a bite. No bibs. Prepare to get dirty. Also, they don't let you take a plate home. JK! Other than being in Tulare but guess they deserve a gem too!
