My Asada Burrito was just "ok", Jess got a number 20 combo, which is a couple of taquitos with a side of rice and beans. The taquitos are covered in guacamole and cheese. They're very good! Especially with a side of green sauce. Pro Tip: they do charge .25 cents per sauce after your first 2 sauces. Service was not the best. When we pulled up to the window, one girl was taking orders and two gentlemen walked up, looked at us, then turned around and walked back. We didn't get greeted until our food was ready and being handed out the window to us. Other than that, no complaints from me. Food didn't hit for me like it normally does. Food and flavor was really good. Husband and I were really impressed how good it was.. we got three types of burritos, mine was the chili verde wet burrito.. I was enjoying it until i cut off a piece of my wet burrito with the plastic fork, as i was about to take another bite, on my fork there was a freakin fly that was still alive attached to the piece of food on my fork... I cannot believe it! I don't know if the person who prepared it did it on purpose or what, it was disgusting. I lost my appetite. I should have said something but I did not, it's just the fact that; I don't want another replacement.. I don't trust it.. We came from out of town and it was our first time there.. i bought the 12 tacitos and they were cood in the middle. Not fully cooked. They were disgusting and tasted like they were old I bought a breakfast bacon burrito also. they bacon was all fat chunks that tasted awful also. I don't see this place staying open long. It's gross. read more

It was Tuesday, so you know what that means...Taco's! My Niece had mentioned Arsenio's to me, so I thought I would give it a try. The restaurant is actually a takeout and drive-thru joint located inside of a Shell Gas Station. I ordered the #2 which is a two-taco plate with rice and beans. The tacos were fried flour tortillas that loaded up with flavorful shredded beef, lettuce, and cheese. I'm not a fan of flour tortillas, but these were crunchy and actually held up quite well.The rice and beans were average and filled with sodium. I went the drive-thru route with this visit and when I arrived, there was no one else in line ahead of me. When I left, there was quite a line, so I made it just in time. The food was decent. Incredibly flavorful burritos! The breakfast burrito with bacon was a hit! The bacon pieces are so incredibly good & some pieces were thick at times - idk where they source their bacon from but it's just the perfect amount of smoke. This place mixes their eggs before adding it to the bacon. The potatoes were fried in oil at least 2x as they were oily but soft! However the burrito did not drip a lot in fat which was surprising! Asada was tender! Make sure to get the burrito supreme if you're into guac and sour cream it def adds another dimensional layer of flavors to your meal! It also doesn't mush together which I really love! Got hooked up with red & green sauce just make sure to ask the nice girls working the cash register for yo sauce when you pay. Worth the drive IMO. read more

a week ago I came and got a pastor (pork) burrito around 7 pm ate it went to sleep and was woken up at 4:00 am with severe stomach cramps and diaherria that lasted over 12 hours I believe it was food poisoning either they are not washing hands correctly or the food is bad... This is inside a nice Shell station that has two unisex bathrooms and mini mart. Since we planned to eat our lunch in the car, we decided to go with the taquitos. There were two of us and we only had a choice of 5 taquitos or 12. Yikes, that's a big difference. We went with 12 for $12.99 - a good deal! They were hot and covered in guacamole and cheese. They were quite filling and five would have been perfect (but we ate six). They came with a red sauce and a green sauce. The red sauce is quite mild and the green sauce had a little kick and was tasty. Evidently, they have a habanero red sauce upon request if you need a kick. The people were very nice and the food came out hot within 10 minutes. We would stop here again. read more

To whoever said this place is good is telling lies. Anywho, first & last time coming here. Ordered an asada wet burrito w/ green salsa. I pulled over to the park that's a few seconds away from this establishment. Decided to indulge while enjoying the scenery. Presentation was ok. Cheese gave it away because it didn't melt so that was already a concern of mine. The meat wasn't even hot, it was warm and not seasoned well. Beans were bland and the sauce was sad. I took about 6 fork bites and decided to end my meal. I even put the green salsa they provided, still wasn't enjoyable. The disappointment is real and I am saddened that my dinner was ruined. I couldn't finish it even if I wanted to. Now I have to go elsewhere for dinner. If anything the food temperature needs to be checked and needs a lot of sazon (seasoning) this is my personal experience that was given to me. The service was decent so no complaints on that part. Received undercooked/still raw ground beef tacos. When I called to inform them and offer a chance to make it right, the only option was to replace it immediately. Downside? I live across town and everyone else was already eating. Refused to compensate meal for a later date. Formerly a weekly customer. I have been to this location multiple times it's the closest place that serves nachos and carne asada fries like I get in Southern California which I have no complaints about which is why they keep 3 stars. . however on my last visit I ordered menudo which I have had before at the Hanford location and was highly disappointed! The cup was full of broth only 1/4 filled with tiny pieces of meat and hominy.. I would have preferred to spend less money and got a can of Juanitas and been happier.. This is by far the BEST Mexican food spot near Visalia. It really is a hole in the wall in a gas station of all places but it serves delicious Mexican food. It has a drive thru that wraps around the gas station and restaurant that's kind of sketchy & not well lit but who cares. You are there for their delicious food only. Screw the decor. I've only ordered the mini and super nachos and each time they were absolutely amazing. My kids who are picky eaters love their nachos. I also tried the Carne asada fries which were delicious as well. They are definitely sharing portions so bring someone to grub with or prepare to take a massive poop session after. The Lengua/cow tongue burrito was real tasty. It was so good I ended up getting my wife her own because it was too good to share. To drink you can't go wrong with some refreshing Horchata. It's not watered down or too darn sweet like other places. It's perfect. All in all I highly recommend this delicious hole in the wall spot to anyone driving up or down the 99 freeway and in need for some delicious and affordable Mexican food. Don't let the gas station and dark drive thru deter you from trying this food gem in the Central Valley. Give it a try and order the green salsa with your food. It's pretty good. This isn't the place to come if you want typical restaurant ambience--it's a counter within a mini-mart at a gas station. But if you want large portions of good food at a great price, it's your pick. They offer a wide variety of items and combo plates, and service is quick; there's even a drive-up window. One downside is that beer has to be purchased separately in the mini-mart, but that's easy to do while waiting for your food. If you don't want to take out, there is a small eating area in the mini-mart, but it's next to the piled up boxes of beer and it feels more like a McDonald's than the usual sit-down restaurant. We've tried five or six Mexican restaurants in Tulare and Visalia after moving here in early 2018, and this is the one we keep going back to. read more
