This is my husband and I's favorite Mexican restaurant in Fort Smith! It's so welcoming and casual, friendly. The fact that it's tucked inside a kitschy old strip mall makes even more charming and feels like home. I love tucking in to a booth and getting the best service and plates around. Everything on the menu is so fresh and delicious, but my favorites are their guacamole salad and carnitas. Or their Mexican Flag enchilada plate .. or their tamales... Have eaten here several times really love their food but after today and the service we got never again told the waitress about the steak that it was so tough you couldn't even cut it with the steak knife she just smiled and walked away. Never did bring the bill to our table but when I went to the cash register to pay she just said it would be $57 and then wound up charging me 59 you've lost a regular customer over this read more

I will start off by saying this is a childhood favorite of mine when they were in Tulsa, OK! This is by far my favorite Mexican place ever. I was so excited to find them in Ft. Smith many years after they left our area. The staff were friendly and the restaurant was comfortable. The chips and dip were amazing, cheese dip creamy and full of flavor. I got my old favorite the pollo loco and it brought all the feels. Salty and zesty with lime on the chicken, it was perfect! My husband tried the burrito Lorito, a pork burrito with cheese and Pico...delicious. The quesabierria was a sure winner for my daughter. The real MVP though was the sopapillas. Buttery, honey and AMAZING!! Definitely worth the trip!! read more

Went there for lunch with a coworker and had the loco burrito and it was sooo good! The service was good. I normally judge a Mexican restaurant by their queso, a lot of restaurants these days have runny queso . Their queso was just right I will definitely be back for lunch or dinner again! read more

I love this restaurant! It's always my first pick when I get hungry. I'd pick this place over any other in a heartbeat! I've been coming here since I was a child. Coming from a family of four that all eat like its our last meal, El Lorito is probably one of the most affordable places you could eat. Their chefs really know how to cook a good meal. If you eat Mexican food in the Fort Smith area this one is the best. Wanted to give 0 stars, but the Yelp app wouldnt let me. My girlfriend and I used to eat here anytime we felt like eating Mexican food. Today, my girlfriend notices that they are keeping the baskets of chips with chips still in them from dirty tables underneath the bus cart while they are cleaning tables. Well, the waitress brought us a "new" basket of chips, only for us to get a half full basket with someone's chewed bubblegum on the paper that's in the basket. So we essentially received someone's basket of chips after they had left the restaurant. We showed our waitress and all she did was bring us a new basket of chips and say sorry then walk away. I will never go back to El Lorito again because there is no telling what else they reuse here(e.g. Salsa, cheese dip, etc). read more

El Lorito is pretty standard Mexican food for the Fort Smith area. If you've eaten at the most popular other Mexican places in town, there are no surprises here. The food is solid and comes quickly and the wait staff is very friendly. This particular location, in my opinion, isn't as good as the one over by Hastings, but that may just be personal preference. read more

We hadn't eaten at El Lorito since the fire and our favorite place wasn't so good the last time we went, so we decided to give this a try again. Wow!! The food was wonderful, we were served warm fresh chips (an overflowing basket) and each of us got our own bowl of salsa for dipping. Our waiter was attentive and we never ran out of chips, salsa or drinks. I ordered a Chimechanga and was floored at the size of it!! Twice the size of the one at the other place and less expensive. Top that off with a lovely little salad on the side served up in a warm, fresh tortilla bowl. My husband and I totally enjoyed our meal and will return the next time we are in need of a "Tex-Mex Fix". For now, we have a new favorite place!! read more

Great lunch for way cheap, and service is always amazing. I'm always full when I leave, because I fill up on chips and salsa... so I have plenty of food for 2 meals at the price for one! The atmosphere is beautiful, bathrooms were clean. This will always be my favorite dining out spot. read more

This place is the BEST Mexican restaurant i have EVER ate at. All the other mexican places except for 1 other i have been to around Ft Smith had bland food including the salsa. The wait staff is EXTREMELY attentive! I ordered a dish one time and it wasnt what i expected it to b and once i told the waitress that then she gladly offered to have the cook make me a different dish and NOT charge me for the dish i didnt want but i told her not to worry about it due to the fact it was my mistake. read more
