My ribeye came out just how I asked, with a beautiful crust and tender inside. I liked that it had a natural beefy flavor without needing a ton of seasoning. The portion size was generous and left me full. Their wine list was small but had a couple solid options. The place wasn't too noisy and had comfortable seating. Service was decent, not the best but not bad. Overall, I'd recommend it.

The steak was tender and full of flavor, definitely the highlight of my meal. I got the house special and it came with grilled mushrooms and onions. Everything tasted freshly made and well seasoned. The staff was helpful and didn't hover too much. It's a good spot for a simple, satisfying steak dinner. Prices were fair for the portion size. Would recommend for a chill night out.

The tacos had such a great balance of flavor and spice. The meat was tender and the toppings added great texture. Super casual spot with quick service. I could easily eat three more without even thinking.

Check in/date of this review 2/10/23 A good, solid OkieMex restaurant. On our previous visit, we were very pleased with the food and service. I had the Chilis Poblano; large peppers filled with chicken and covered with cheese. A huge meal, with enough left over for tomorrow. I didn't check to see if they were still on the menu, but if they are I recommend them. We are back. Today we selected from the lunch menu. The El Maguey menu has many combinations; still offered at bargain prices. We had two #1 lunch specials (a chili relleno, beef taco and beans) and two sodas. It all came in at pennies under $20 (without a tip) Filling plates of delicious Mexican food. El Maguey is still one of the best Mexican restaurants in Claremore.

What a disappointing meal. As you can see the portions were small and the flavor was nothing special.

I am fairly picky about my Italian food, but this place hit the mark. For starters, they have one of the best house red wine vinegrettes I have tasted in a long time. It was good enough that I finished the remaining dressing with the bread. The crab filled stuffed mushrooms were covered in a tomato-basil cream sauce and I could not decide which was better: the sauce or the tender stuffed mushrooms under neath it. For my main dish, I had the good old standard Chicken Parmesan and was not disappointed. The chicken was well seasoned, crispy and coated in a rich marinara and a healthy done of provolone. It was served with a mountain of spaghetti dressed in a robust marinara with small chunks of vegetables that gave it the perfect blend of taste and texture. The service was excellent, friendly and humeours. My drink was never less than half full and I was checked on throughout the meal. There was a quiet, relaxed atmosphere with subtle music playing overhead that made one feel right at home. Overall it was a great experience.

When you get there you order at the counter and then find you a table. There were plenty empty tables even though there were lots of people there. The ambience was nice, we were able to sit comfortably and carry conversation. My son and I ordered the catfish and shrimp combo, with a side of green beans, fries, and onion rings and it also comes with two hush puppies. The green beans were delicious. The hush puppies were good but I prefer just plain regular old hush puppies. These tasted like they had maybe jalapeño in it. They went spicy just a little kick to them. The serving size is a big portion for the combos. It came with three fish fillets. The fish was fried good but it lacked seasoning. The shrimp was good! We all actually liked the shrimp. The fries were good too there was just a lot. My son loved the onion rings. My husband ordered the jumbo shrimp combo and he loved his shrimp. They were fried perfectly. He also got a side of corn which was good. I saw this place on TikTok and that's what brought me here. Like I said it was good and I love the fact that it is made fresh right there, but it lacked seasoning. Oh and I also loved that it wasn't fishy, if that makes sense.

She explained the different menu boards to us, one is for seafood boils, one is for fried food and one was the lunch menu. We placed our orders, grabbed our drinks and sauces and took a seat at one of the large, loungey booths. The sauces are self serve with tartar sauce, cocktail sauce, ketchup and malt vinegar. Our crab bites came out quick with a side of creamy (not spicy) remoulade sauce. We quickly dove in and were greeted with flavorful little nuggets of crabby goodness. Our shrimp and catfish platters came out next. The batter on both the shrimp and the catfish was incredible! It was cornmeal based, super crispy and well seasoned. You could see the flavor in the breading it was so good. The waffle fries were also exceptional. They weren't just there for backup, they were part of the delicious crispy flavor trio. The portion size was generous. I ate about half and took the other half with while my parents split a platter. The inside of the restaurant is very spacious and clean with a bright, modern feel to the space. It would be good for small or large groups. Again, I just wish I had tried this place sooner! I will be back ASAP to try some of the other menu items. The seafood boils look interesting, served with different flavored butters.
