Ok I had called strike 3 for previous visits. Spouse talked me in to trying their Monday fajita special so we did. Small dinner crowd when we arrived so we were seated immediately and promptly received ice water and chips and salsa. Ordered the Monday special to share. It came out promptly with an extra plate and extra tortillas. All was good except the peppers were barely cooked and the onions were not carmelized. Had to avoid the raw bell peppers but all in all the fajitas were tasty. Glad we went. Will give it another try. read more

As background, I grew up in Muskogee and now live in Boston, where we don't have great Mexican food options. I was happy to come to Bravos the other night with friends. We started with the guacamole, which a gentleman came over to prepare tableside. It was a little cilantro-ey for me (yes, yes, I know cilantro is a staple in Mexican cuisine, but it's so strong!) but the chips were perfectly crispy and I practically drank their salsa. Because I haven't had good tacos in a while, I ordered a taco trio with 2 barbacoa and 1 birria (at the suggestion of the server, who offered to mix the tacos since I was between barbacoa and birria). Both were flavorful and rich! I had a spicy margarita with Patrón Silver, which I thought was a steal for $9. Our server checked up on us throughout the evening. Great place for dinner! read more

Currently on a roadtrip with my little sister. Stopping for the night in Tulsa we were craving Mexican food. Never been to Oklahoma so I didn't know what to expect. Being from Chicago, I tend to be a bit spoiled when it comes to Mexican food. So I may be a bit critical here... Birria tacos for me with charro beans and rice. My sister got the carne asada tacos. Tortillas were pretty good quality and doubled up, so I appreciate that. Beef in the birria tacos was ok and they were cheesed up pretty well. My only gripe was the consommé was pretty thin and more of a beefy jus than the lustrious dip you get in Chicago. Carne asada tacos were only ok. But I mean it's carne asada so it's going to be bland compared to birria. The chips that were served to start were super thin. The tortillas they have, but fried, would make for a very good tortilla chip. Overall it was a decent dinner. read more

I have gone to Bravos many times before and the experience has always been good! The service is always good and staff is helpful and kind. Today I branched out and had something totally different than the usual Fajita Nachos, which are incredibly delicious by the way. But saw the California Fish Tacos and decided to give them a try. I am sooooooo glad I did... they were amazing! The fish was seasoned and fired to perfection and topped with a cabbage, tomato, and cilantro combination that can't be beat! 2/24/26 11:00 am. I ordered enchiladas rancheras-cheese enchiladas with red sauce, they add shredded pork, peppers and onions on top with rice and beans. They first brought me chicken enchiladas which they remade into cheese enchiladas with cheese sauce. They did not offer my iced tea on the house or dessert or anything for not getting my order twice. They acted like it was my fault. On my receipt under the order for enchiladas rancheras was typed NO HACER NO HACER with nothing else. No hacer means do not do. It is used when you ask someone to not do something. I can only hope this restaurant goes under. Bravos used to be my favorite. They are a D-class restaurant with no business or customer sense. We will be back. Nothing over the top as far as atmosphere but it's a large space that can support large groups and the have outside seating. Service is fast and friendly. We decided to come to Bravos for a quick bite to eat after work. It was mid. The queso had great flavor but was lukewarm. Especially the middle. The taco soup I got was pretty bland. It was huge bowl though. My boyfriend got four meat fajitas that were pretty good! Grilled shrimp, steak, carnitas and chicken. They were very flavorful and the shrimp were pretty jumbo! If we were to come back, the fajitas would be what I would get. It was pretty busy inside but food came out fast! read more

I've been going to this place for years now. They have great food and good service. I love the taco happy hour. Totally worth it. Fajitas are good too. You can ask for hotter salsa as well. The bar area is nice. I would recommend this place over other Mexican food restaurants. read more

Sometimes bad things happen in good restaurants. We had a bad experience during the pandemic with a takeout order. Apparently the delivery service did something wrong or their website had a problem and a lot of takeout orders were messed up. The situation caused people picking up their orders to be crowded together as well long waits and cold food. The manager made it up to people. We went back. They have a good happy hour and a good taco Tuesday. read more

This is an interesting place with definitely two different personalities. The bar area has some character and a whole different vibe. It was full at 7 PM and looked where I would like to be. The main dining room looks like a cafeteria. It's loud , dirty and loaded with groups of tables of cackling women, or loud familia groups. So distracting you can't enjoy a private meal. Food was good. Typical Grande plates of Tex-Mex that you get everywhere. Our server was just OK and when she wasn't waiting on us, she was sweeping the floor and rolling silverware. One star for the Heaping plates of food that can feed two adults . One star for a functioning partially clean bathroom. One star for fair pricing. Minus one star for the dirty menus , tables , shakers, and greasy floors. Minus one star for the noise level and cafeteria setting. Another thing surprising inside the dirty drink menu on the table has no pricing? I guess they get to fluctuate the prices based on their ?? This little strip mall restaurant gets 5 stars from me for the TOP SHELF GUACAMOLE and FROZEN MARGARITAS. Ended up here in a scary Oklahoma downpour. Turns out Monday is $9 chicken Fajitas so I ordered that. I saw some stellar looking Guac so asked about it. Bravos has "regular" and top shelf so I pointed over at the neighboring table. Amiga got Top Shelf. Out came a dude with the whole cart for table side guac where he proceeded to concoct some marvelous guac with no less than 3 THREE Avocados!! Omg! And yes, it tasted as good as it looked. Some of the best restaurant guac I have ever had. Amiga also got a frozen "small" rita that was strong and delicious and huge. Fajitas came out and they were ENORMOUS. They tasted great! I had boxes to take home with me. I sat in the bar because it was "cozier" and was able to watch Lara Croft Tomb Raider ( the remake), soccer, and jam out to the sweet tunes of the glass animals and Brittany. I was not bored. The rain kept coming One thing to note is the dishes were very very very mild. If you like spice and hot peppers, ask for it. The salsa was mild, the fajitas and pico de gallo were mild. Went here on a sunday afternoon around 2pm. was surprised to find out that they offer lunch specials even on weekends! We ordered an enchilada lunch special (cheese and beef) as well as the lunch fajita platter (steak and chicken). both meals were so good and really flavorful. They weren't too busy either so the food came out super quick and the Coke we ordered was really bubbly which was a plus for me bc i always seem to crave soda when i have mexican food. I'm very mixed on this place. My rating goes down quickly when salsa and drinks aren't exceptional at a mexican restaurant. Here's my quick run down... Pros (amazing flavor) - Chips - Queso - Chicken fajitas (the double order gave myhusand and I enough for two meals) - Refried beans and rice - Staff was super nice and always working hard on their feet Cons - Salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce (my husband said the same thing before I gave him my opinion) - Skinny rita was premade and not strong; I've always seen skinny ritas freshly made, and I'm not sure how you pre-make something with "fresh" lime juice as the menu indicates. I actually asked for a shot of Gran Marnier to add to it. - We went on a Sunday night, and the hostess told us no bartender was on staff, so waiters were trying to serve tables and make drinks which slowed down everything significantly. Overall, I'm not sure I would go back. I might order the fajitas to-go (with queso) as they were excellent and some of the best I've ever had, but the dining in experience was lack luster. If you track my eating path you will see I am on a mission to find the best Mexican food. Sorry to say this place is OK and I used the many stars to drive me to this location. Our server was great and very attentive, the place was clean and the layout was very nice. The food is where it missed the mark. I had the Chili Relleno which was above fair, the taco had a bad-tasting shell, I returned the cheese enchilada as it was the worse I have had. He brought out the hottest and we had five sauces and all. He got the Mexican chicken dish with poblano's on top and onions and I got the fajita salad. It had been a while since we'd been here, and we didn't realize that they moved locations. So even though I had the current correct address pulled up from Yelp, there were some people who were sure that this wasn't the same Bravos we had been to before, because they remembered the old address. When pulled up we were like yeah this isn't the same one but we'll try it anyway. Then when I saw the menu I knew that this WAS in fact just a new location of the same Bravos, and we double checked with our waiter just to be 100% sure. He told us that they've been in this new location just for about two months. Speaking of our waiter, he was very very nice. He had a welcoming presence and was informative. He talked to us like he knew us. He seemed like he cared about the restaurant. And at the end of the meal he even pointed out to us how they were taking a green initiative (which we already sort of picked up on from the paper straws- woot woot). So an extra "bravo" to Bravos just for that ;) I didn't notice on the menu this time what I've ordered a few times before (flag enchiladas, though can't remember if that was the exact official name, but something like that). I always think it's fun to order that from places because it's three different flavors in the colors of the Mexican flag (I think I describe this more in my original review). So instead I went with a burrito that looked good called the burrito Mexicano. It mentioned three different sauces on top of the burrito which I was a little reluctant about how all of those would taste together, but did it anyway. I was surprised that this ended up being basically the burrito version of the flag enchiladas. Even better, it wasn't all three sauces on the whole burrito but it was in sections (see pictures for that to make sense). All of the three sections were yummy. The green was spinach, the white was queso, and the red was a red enchilada sauce. I liked how all of them tasted like unique sauces to Bravos and not generic. I think my favorite was the queso which was in the middle, but all were good like I said. The only sad thing I noticed was no more check in offer for guacamole... Even though this location is a bit further away for me, we'll be back! read more

I distinctly remember the Enchiladas Suizas and the great service, from that location. We were at the 71st restaurant today at about 1:45 most of the lunch crowd had left, but a big group of folks came in for a corporate get together lunch. There had to be 30 to 40! There was plenty of wait staff on duty at the time; however I noticed that several of them had left as it got closer to 2PM. It must have been the end of shift. We got our orders in after what I thought was a little longer wait than I prefer. The food came quickly; fortunately we beat the corporate group. There were about 12 other diners in the restaurant (other than the large group) and they (and us) were not getting much attention from the few waiters. It was probably an anomaly in service, because of the time of the day and the large group that had come in, but overall just average service. The food continues to be very good. Everything was nicely spiced and colorful. They have great salsas and a variety of hotter salsas for you to try. We had the" Lunch Burrito Mexicano" and the "Tacos de la Calle" The burrito was large and the sauces stood out, especially the tasty mild, chipotle/adobo red sauce.
