Order over $100 in take out. Placed the bag in the back seat of my car. When I took the bag out of the car the entire bottom tore and all of the food was spread over my garage floor. There was no cardboard reinforcement in the bag, the bag was unknowingly leaking in the backseat of the car and the entire meal was lost. When we called we received nothing but "not our fault" too bad so sad., or bring it back after I had to use a snow shovel to pick up the food and discard it in the rubbish and then hose off the garage floor. this response is totally unacceptable and reeks of an ownership or management group that doesn't take pride in ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. I can accept when a company errs but not remedying a service issues is not acceptable.. I recommend that you avoid takeout and think twice about dining there. read more

Went here recently for lunch with my granddaughter. Got in easy, pay to park in the back, only $1 so not that big of a deal. The place is decorated beautifully, and is colorful and inviting. On the day that we went it was mid week, around 3:00, so it was quiet. We were seated right away and served some chips and salsa! The menu is huge! I had my go to dish of chicken enchiladas, which did not disappoint. The portion was huge (enough for a full meal the next day!) The server was very nice and attentive. Any time my husband and I have gone, no matter how busy on the weekend we have had to wait for a seat no longer than 5 minutes. Great service every time and it has a nice Mexican vibe. Went to El Mariachi for dinner tonight and I was not disappointed. The chips and salsa were fresh and enjoyable while searching through the large menu of Mexican specialties. All the wait staff was pleasant and attentive providing drink refills and extra napkins without having to ask for them. The restaurant is comfortable and nicely decorated to look like an authentic Mexican taqueria in Mexico. The food was very good with large portions and filled with meat versus the normal filler of rice, beans & vegetables. I took more than half home. We will definitely be going again. The only down side which is not a criticism and more of a heads up, was the restaurant being too cold for my dad. I frequently take him out with me and he gets cold really fast. Even I was a little chilly so if you are going to go to the restaurant just be aware that you may need a light sweater. I leave one in my car for him. read more

Our waitress was great, we just beat the Saturday night rush. My son loved his chicken chimichanga. My shrimp fajitas was fine, nothing special and my daughter had the vegetarian fajitas. We are thinking it would be just onions and peppers served sauteed, NOPE,,, we were so wrong! They dumped some steamed broccoli, cauliflower and carrots on top of the sautéed onions and peppers, it was the strangest thing. We were disappointed and had to dig through the huge pile of flavorless broccoli mixture to get to the onion and peppers.. Stumbled across this place after doing the tree top adventures in Canton MA. We were just looking for a place to eat indoors/outdoors and this was stop #2...the starvation...tired of driving, let's give it a try stop. So so glad we found this place!! Margaritas!! Margaritas!! Margaritas!! When I think of El Mariachi Mexican Restaurant I think of the best Margaritas I've ever had. They have so many different styles and flavors. They can even make your Margarita with different liquor if you don't like Tequila. Now that's impressive. I'm a huge chips and salsa fan and I was so happy that I was able to find a Mexican restaurant in the East Coast that actually serves great chips and salsa. The chips are always fresh and the salsa is nicely made. Not to hot. Anyone can enjoy it. If you're a guacamole fan please try their guacamole. It's made to order tableside, which is amazing. You don't usually get that kind of service anywhere anymore. They make it to your liking. My most recent trip I had a bowl of their seafood soup. Wow, my taste buds were dancing in my mouth. Great soup. Ton of flavor. Not to fishy either. If you're not into seafood they have a fantastic chicken tortilla soup. It's all about the broth for me and whomever makes it hit the nail on the head. As for the main dishes any of the shrimp dishes are my fav, as I love shrimp. My go to shrimp dish though is the Camarones à la Mexicana. The Carne Asada here is delicious. My fav steak dish is the Steak Huasteco. The Steak Tampiquena is also a great choice. You can't go wrong with any of their Enchilada or Taco dishes. Another fan favorite is their Crispy Chile Relleno, which is an appetizer. If you don't like chile rellenos and want to play it safe you can't go wrong with any of their quesadilla choices. You can tell they buy good quality ingredients because everything that goes in your mouth is delicious. I love flan. It's my favorite dessert of all time. Theirs is perfectly made for my liking. This restaurant is a good and solid representative of tex-mex cuisine! The place is a lot bigger inside than you'd expect from the street entrance - and it's interior decor is a lot of fun! We ordered quite a variety of their dishes on this occasion and we all deemed it to be of good quality and good tasting. I myself had their Mariachi combo #2, choosing a chile relleno and a chicken enchilada. I especially enjoyed the chile relleno as I could really taste the pepper itself and it wasn't overstuffed with cheese. The accompanying rice and refried beans were also good. The rest of my family members had: spinach enchiladas, pollo en mole, tacos al carbon, and quesadilla asado, respectively. While we waited for our orders to be prepared, the wait staff brought us tortilla chips and salsa, both of which tasted freshly prepared. (I like that the salsa came in little jars so that you could pour as much as you wanted into the dipping dishes provided - or directly onto your plate.)
