The service here was so friendly and prompt to all our needs. They have beautiful decor and fixtures and an overall lovely atmosphere. They start you off with chips which are perfectly salted, and some salsa which is authentic and has a kick. We had carne asada( the tortillas were delicious, you could eat them on their own!), cheese enchiladas, and pork burrito(which had pineapple in it to give it a fresh flavor). Everyone devoured their meals. We also enjoyed some flavored margaritas which one friend said "I think this may be the best margarita I've ever had" so don't skip the drinks! Dessert was tres leches, they had a different version than what I'm used to, it had some chocolate drizzle and a cinnamon drizzle, which was good but the cake itself is perfect as is. read more

We've been here quite a few times and always felt the food was pretty good obviously that is why we kept coming back. However, the other day we ordered the enchiladas Suiza, which is a chicken enchilada, and it was basically a flavorless boiled chicken breast wrapped in a tortilla dressed with cheese, it was terrible and disgusting. There was no flavor. It was tough and chewy. I'm disgusted $18 for a couple enchiladas when it cost you $.35 for a chicken breast. You can do better than that. The chips and salsa are always appreciated and that makes up for your terrible quality food. But if I go through this experience again, I will never come back. Put some love into your food. read more

Warm and festive atmosphere with bright colors and exterior lighting. The service was perfect, just enough checking on without being annoying. The nacho platter was very tasty with lots of toppings and cheese and I loved the way the tequila shot was presented. I wouldn't hesitate to return again. read more

After a long day of travel, for our first night in Plymouth we decided to have some comfort food for dinner. After checking out local reviews, we ended up at Ocho Cafe and it was some of the best Mexican food I've ever had, anywhere. First thing we noticed was the service is top notch. I wish I remembered his name, he was remarkable. He recommended a very refreshing and surprisingly strong blackberry margarita. We ordered the fancy one that comes in a Patron bottle... I don't remember how much it cost, but we refer to it as "the expensive margarita" to this day Order it. It's worth it! The deluxe chimichanga was stuffed full with skirt steak, roasted corn & peppers, caramelized onions and queso fresco. Then they top it with a gorgeous, green, roasted poblano cream sauce, served with guacamole, sour cream, pico, rice, and beans. Oh-so-good!! We also had the Philly rolls: carne asada, veggies and mixed cheeses rolled in egg roll wrap, served with cilantro crema dip. Felt like Mexican Food last night, so we went to @ochocafe_plymouth, @websterbuffa88, @misswymth, I, and her Husband, we started with Chips and Salsa, always a good thing to start with, the Salsa was a little Spicy, then for our Main Dishes I got: the Sizzling Fajitas with Steak and Shrimp, it was delicious, I had to take some Home for tonight's Dinner, the Wife had Chicken Quesadillas, she liked them too, and for Dessert we got Churros with Vanilla Ice Cream,cit was so good, we had a Gift Card thanks to my Co-Worker Steve and his Wife Peg, thanks again! This is my second time here. Food was good but not as good as other Mexican restaurants. I asked for NO RICE in my chicken burrito and my server admitted she forgot to tell the kitchen, but made no effort to correct her mistake. So I worked my way through it pushing the rice aside where I could. His pork burrito was done properly. They were good about keeping cilantro off my plate. As a person who dines out a lot I am going to be sure my server is LISTENING to my simple request because I truly believe that many are not listening hence mistakes are made. Probably will not go back only because there are other Mexican restaurants closer to home that are better. read more

This place is fairly nice on the inside. That's the nicest compliment I can pay. The food is OK. Run of the mill I would say. I've been twice and burritos are not hand held there. They are covered with cheese and eaten with a knife and fork. A little weird. They charged me $2 for sour cream...sigh. I haven't actually tried any tequila there, but I did see El Tesoro and Ocho tequila at the bar today, both of which are supposed to be good. So that's positive. 4 of us arrived around 5:15 on a Wednesday and there were plenty of seats at the bar as well as the restaurant. SERVICE: Good. There were 2 bartenders who were friendly but don't seem to have a process for covering the bar as often we were asked what we'd like, then a couple minutes later the other bartender would come over and ask the same thing. They were out of Kendall Jackson chard so I ordered the other brand (FX?) several times before it arrived. Average pour, $9. You can build your own margarita, base is $10-12 depending on the shelf, then $2 for each other type of liquor. FOOD: The queso dip is very good and generous portion, easily sharebale. The guacamole is made tableside, $11, generous portion and fresh, quality ingredients. The grilled chicken quesadilla was dry and lacked flavor. The guacamole that comes with it is not the same as the tableside. The texture was gummy and it had a strange taste like old ice cubes. The water had a similar yucky taste so something is up with either their water or ice. The complimentary chips were good and the salsa had fresh ingredients, but the base was quite watery so difficult to scoop anything on to the chip. The inside decor is cool, and bar seats comfy, so if they can up their food quality game it might be a great place to eat. read more

We got 3 burritos and 2 enchiladas. All four of the main dishes were with chicken. All four of us experienced the same thing with the chicken. There were very hard Lexie's and soft, fresh pieces. The rice, beans, and veggies were good. They need to only use fresh chicken. The 2 day or 3 day old stuff gets way too hard. read more

After driving by Ocho Cafe a few times at Colony Place, we decided to give it a try. Sergio the manager was welcoming and our server Borremar was just the right amount of attentive. Atmosphere is festive and not too loud. We ordered the fresh-at-your-table guac which was outstanding, split the ultimate marg, and ordered the Pescado Veracruzano (blackened tilapia with roasted mediterranean salsa) and the Ocho Bowl w shrimp. Both were flavorful and hot. Churros were a nice ending. Overall positive first visit -- will return. Only ask: offer brown rice so health conscious customers have a whole grain option. And offer cardboard to-go containers instead of styrofoam. read more

The food was amazing. The table salsa they brought out was so good I had to buy some to take home. I ordered chicken fajitas. It was extremely delicious. My eyes rolled to the back of my head when I took my first bite. My wife ordered the taco salad and was blown away by the quality of the vegetables. She also ordered apple chimichanga for dessert and took it down like a Viking. I was lucky to get two bites in. The margaritas were extremely good. These cats carry Azul and Grand Mayan tequila. If you never heard of those I highly recommend that you order some. Get a shot of each (but ask about the price because those are high end tequilas). Don't throw it back like some Friday night blitz, sip them neat and enjoy the flavor. The service was so friendly. Fell upon this place when I was shopping. Love this place. You walk into little Mexico. The food was delicious. We started with table side guac which was made to perfection. Next we had the had the ocho bowl which was like a burrito bowl and very filling. Also had the salmon tacos. The portions were big and the margaritas were great. I always have love when there is Tres leche cake so I had to try. That was the only thing that was disappointing other than that it was AMAZING. Went today for lunch, sat at the bar. Took 20min to get a drink. Drinks were good but $14 for a margarita. Ordered off of the lunch menu that was given to us. We both had steak fajitas. It came with steak and onions, no Pepers? I asked where the peppers were and they brought a bowl with more onions and about 3 slices of peppers. It wasn't anything great. We watched them keep serving the couple across the way who was drunk and clearly on drugs. The woman couldn't even get the food in her mouth and had to hold on the wall and the guy to walk out. She even fell off of the bar stool. We got our check and he charged us dinner prices. We told him there was an error he said oh ya I see. Took him 30min to return with the correct bill. Then another 15min for him to charge the right one. We have been here before for lunch but this was definitely the last time. It's a shame it's a cute place. read more

So Sara (our lovely new waitress) asked manager Cory (an incredible wonderful man) to see if he could make up some type of salsa that had no heat! (I usually love their heat, can't have right now, but certainly will again, hopefully in a few months) Cory did, w cilantro, green pepper, mango, carrots and some other veggies! It was wonderful on my street tacos, rice and chips. Also had Charo beans with my yellow rice. Delicious and no heat! WORST SERVICE IVE EVER HAD !!!!!!!!!!!!!! this place would of gotten a 1 star if the food wasn't so good. We had Rosie as our waitress and it took her 15 minutes to even see us for the first time to ask what we wanted to drink, then FORGOT our drinks. We were eating with no drinks until I found her after 30 minutes and asked for them. Then we were finished eating it took her another 20 minutes for us to find her to ask for the check and then she completely disappeared from the restaurant and I had to ask someone else to help us leave. She was obviously on her phone and careless, she needs to leave the establishment before she brings it to the ground. read more
