Only a very small handful of Mexican restaurants are just decent. El Rodeo is an oasis in a food desert. This IS the real stuff. The flavors that I miss living in both NorCal and SoCal. While I assume this place is hopping in the evening when they bring in the DJ and move the tables out for a dance floor, it feels cold and echoey as a restaurant.
