An old friend here in Moses Lake. We always stopped here on trips to Seattle, and then they opened a second location in our little town of Cheney, so visits have been few since then. I don't have much in the way for bookmarks for Moses Lake and hardly any restaurants for the city but I did have El Rodeo in my list to try. I got one of their combinations on their menu. A cheese enchilada and bean tostada as well as rice and beans. For one it's a bit bean heavy since the tostada is a bean one and the you also have refried beans on the side. Perhaps to reduce that the tostada should be a guacamole tostada. The food isn't all that spicy. In fact it's a bit on the bland side but despite that I nearly finished my entire combination plate so I must have been hungry and the food wasn't all that bad. But it wasn't the most memorable Mexican meal I had but I will freely admit I am a serious snob when it comes to Mexican food. So would I come back? Well, Moses Lake is still largely unexplored by me and the couple of stops I made I passed by a lot of different restaurants so I'd say "never say never" but it isn't a major priority to come back but in a pinch I wouldn't rule out on a return either. I just was looking for something spicier and perhaps more authentic. read more

The food here tasted like true authentic Mexican food, which is not the case in some of the other Mexican restaurants in the area . I ordered the Giant Burrito with shredded chicken and it was delicious. From the time I walked in the door until I left, the service was superior and the servers were attentive to my needs. Everyone was professional yet personal with plenty of smiles. The ambiance is what you expect in a Mexican restaurant. I was very pleased with my meal here. read more

I dropped in for an early lunch today, in the past I have been well pleased. Although early this afternoon, I was surprised that the food item I chose on the menu came with maybe 6 curled fried chicken little stripe, served on top of a bed of lettuce, raw mushrooms, avocado slices and tomatoes quarter slices. It comes with a choice of salad dressing, not worth $16.50. There was a good flavor on the marinated chicken but the serving was skimpy. The separate basket were nice and crunchy, salsa good, cabbage slaw good. The music atmosphere was ok, though it could be turned down more. I have recommended this Mexican Restaurant many times to friends. Maybe I'll wait on that for awhile, see if this menu item gets improved. I was in town for two nights. I had tried a Mexican restaurant in Tacoma two nights prior and it did not scratch my itch. (You will not find a review for said restaurant in Tacoma as my dad taught me, if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all) So I was ecstatic when I asked the ladies at my hotel, Where was the best place to eat in town and they named this restaurant, a Mexican restaurant!!!!! From the second you pull up, you know you're about to eat authentic Mexican food. The entire restaurant made me feel like I was in Mexico, and I've never even been to Mexico. I just really love burritos, tacos enchiladas and chimichangas!! I ordered the super wet chicken burrito. It was big, thick, wet and ahhhhhhh oh yeah, sorry please excuse me. Where were we? Tacos Al Carbon were simply warmed corn tortillas. Not grilled/fried in salsa like every other Mexican restaurant. Otherwise would've just ordered 3 tacos. Steak inside was good. Side of 4 corn tortillas was $4.75. Just had water to drink. Bill with tip was $35. Won't be back. On a positive note, service was good and the restaurant was clean. In a town full of countless Mexican food options - most of them quite good - This has always been my favorite. The service is wonderful and the ambiance, while standard, is quaint and warming. My favorite - Enchiladas con mole, sub spinach/cheese for meat. But the chicken version is wonderful too. Keep it up! read more

El Rodeo has good, traditional Mexican food. My favorites include Arroz con Pollo, their taco salad when I want something light, and the Verde burrito. I also love that they have a daily special so I can try something different at a little lower price. Their margaritas are delicious! Service is always good. The wait staff really hustles. read more

Beans and Rice OK. Chili Rellano was a nasty joke. Canned chili wrapped in egg with tasteless chewey cheese on the out side, and some crappy, watery red sauce(?) with one piece of boiled celery on top!!! Shredded beef taco was like pate without any flavor. Everything was basic taco bell in bigger servings. The worst is the Waiter leans in much to close, talking inches from your face, bad breath too. Worst quesadilla known to humanity! This was drenched in oil with dark grey guacamole plopped on-top. Also, who puts shredded lettuce on the bottom of a hot quesadilla? This pile of soggy tortilla mess had hardly any cheese and all the vegetables were swimming in oil so I couldn't taste anything. To top it all off, they charged me $13.50! I've never heard of a veggie quesadilla costing $13.50. My mom's chicken tostada was even less, at $12.50. My dad's carne asada $17.50. Feel completely taken advantage here. Especially when their menu clearly states a chicken quesadilla is priced at $8.75 and that's with meat. I guess since COVID-19 they're over charging their customers. Never been so disappointed and disgusted with a veggie quesadilla. Don't do take-out here. They'll over charge you, take your money and push you out the door. I even called the restaurant after looking at the receipt and even the man at the counter said he didn't know why the quesadilla cost so much. This place was such a let-down. read more

Who would have thought that you could find some good mexican food in Moses Lake? It was not even on my radar, but everyone was hungry, so, of course, I got on yelp to find some options! The guacamole was great, and the Chile Colorado was pretty darn good. They were very helpful and accommodating to our son's allergies. To top it off, our server was awesome! read more

Parking lot is tiny, yet there is adjacent lot to park. We were seated right away. Service was great and fast. Food was blah. Mole sauce was not what we consider usual.
