wow...thank GOODNESS we recently missed the west-bound Moses Lake exit to S******ks, and found Taco El Ray Espresso at the next exit (172)!!! It's true - the best parts of travel are found in the detours!!! It was early (6AM), we were tired, hungry and just plain crabby for all of it. We waited, in (crabby) silence, while the truck in front of us in the drive-thru took away a HUGE order of food & multiple coffees. It was a good sign indeed!!! So. Our turn. We ordered from the generous menu of items hand-made-to-order; yummy truck food with a generous splash of Mexican spice and care. I had an incredible pesto stuffed homemade bagel, and my husband had an overflowing breakfast taco. SO GOOD!!! This is NOT fast food - you may actually have to wait 4 minutes (!!!!), but OMG!!! worth every second. And wait - that's not all...BEST. COFFEE. EVER! Fabulous aroma & flavor! This was all served by the kindest human being, who cheerfully shared that she's up and at work there by 5AM, 6 days a week. Otherwise, she "sleeps in" and is there by 7AM...!!! Stopped on my way to the airport during a work trip. Conveniently located right off of the freeway, service was fast and polite, latte was tasty, breakfast burrito held up well to eat on the airplane 2-hours later. Firstly, the gal at the window misled us when she told us that a taco order came with 2. The carne asada taco was okay but the meat had some fatty parts and there was no sauce except an extremely spicy sauce. My husband ordered a chicken burrito which had a lot of gristle. They made some very filling ham/egg/cheese english muffin sams, and we had to delay din-din by a few hours, haha. He told me that he could make me a coffee but was unable to take any payment and let me know that I could come back tomorrow and pay. What a great little drive thru. Coffee and chai tea were both excellent! The lady working was really sweet and professional, and the place is right off I-90, so was super easy to get to. I wish we hadn't already eaten because the menu looked delicious with a variety of tacos (w/house made tortillas!), tamales and other taco truck favorites as well as breakfast sandwiches and bagels! I frequently visit this coffee stand. One of the best in Moses Lake. Super strong coffee. I think it's 6 shots of espresso in a 24-ounce. The value is there. More expensive than other places but when you need a good wake-me-up coffee this is your place to go. Never had an issue with the service. It's a drive thru and lots of times it's busy but that's because it's so dang good. You can smell the food while sitting in your car. read more

This is a clutch stop for a road trip to grab and go breakfast (or lunch). You know a place is good when you see a lot of folks lined up to pick up their regular. This matchbox sized stand has yummy breakfast burritos and sandwiches. Lots of options for protein shakes and blended drinks if that's more your style. For the really picky coffee drinkers, the latte milk wasn't frothy (more just hot milk) but otherwise fine. Will be back again to try more on the menu. read more

My fiancé and I seek out local places for our daily coffee needs. I ordered an iced caramel macchiato and was completely satisfied. Usually I take an hour to two to enjoy my drink. My initial impression was espresso paired with authentic Mexican food that's destined for failure. Im pleased to report I've never been so wrong about a business. I can honestly say this is one if not the very best quality espresso/food stand I've ever tasted. The quality and taste being the best I've had isn't the end of the positive components, they have a generous menu with industry standard prices plus the offer all their beverages from 12oz up to 32oz which isn't true of all establishments of the variety. They also offer some very exclusive specialty drinks that should appeal to most Washington natives. As with most coffee stands they offer a rewards card that grants you a free drink after every 7 you buy, and any dog lovers should know they also offer free dog treats for your canine counterpart upon request. And the cherry on top is the amazing food. The menu isn't as robust as the full-size restaurant but that's to be expected but they offer a great selection of breakfast options plus the most popular lunch dishes. With the exclusion of food orders on Sunday is a small price that I'm happy to overlook due to the excellence in all the other areas read more
