I called to try to get my son a physical and unfortunately the whole phone experience left me feeling like this office was very unorganized and unhelpful. Before bringing him in, I had a few basic questions about the cost and payment. I asked if they accept HSA cards and the employee didn't seem to know what an HSA account was or whether they could accept one as payment. There was also no mention of providing an itemized statement or receipt that could be used for HSA purposes. Their posted information shows physicals for $35, but I was told over the phone that the price is now $50. Their website is also currently down, so there was no way for me to verify their current pricing or get additional information online. The more questions I asked, the more confusing the conversation became. The employee eventually told me she mostly works in the back and didn't know the answers. I asked if I could be transferred to someone who could answer my questions. She came back but still couldn't provide any additional information and basically told me they only offer self-pay and that I would need to come into the office if I had more questions. I wasn't asking anything complicated. I simply wanted to understand the cost and whether I could use my HSA before driving over there. If the person answering the phone doesn't know, I would expect to at least be transferred to someone who does. I decided not to bring my son here. The entire interaction was strange, unhelpful and unorganized and didn't give me much confidence in the office. read more

My son had at accident at the park and we needed to go to an Urgent Care which is never fun. We tried one by Alhambra and one by Pasadena and one was closed and the other one had over an hour wait. We called the El Monte one and there was no wait. Service was fast and quick and it felt like they cared. 2nd time I came with my youngest and it was a completely different experience. Although service was quick and fast, they essentially sent me to the CHLA ER. So they charged me $100 to send me elsewhere. read more

So far, so great! I had to come to urgent care due to a situation. This one was the closest to my house and they take Kaiser insurance. Both times I've been here, everyone has been extremely professional and knowledgeable. Maybe I've been lucky, but both times had no wait at all. I was in and out in 20-30 minutes. I would not recommend this place. The receptionists are always rude with a nasty attitude. Wasted my time coming to urgent care for follow up on x-rays and when I came in their employe left. Which means I'm out of a co payment and I missed work because they take forever to see me when I came right when they open. The staff is very friendly and when I called before arriving to check if they took my insurance they told me the wait time was minimal, tho knowing it could change at any moment since this is a walk-in only facility. I was treated with respect and was not asked when checking in why I was there. This was all handled in a private room with the nurse. Most UC you have to say why you are there when you check in, so everyone hears what you have going on!! PA Jessica L. provided great care! She explained what RX I needed after tests were performed. she also recommended I follow up in a couple days. she went above and beyond by ordering additional tests to ensure I have nothing else going on other than why I was there initially. Was excited to have an urgent care close to home. Took my son in today because he was not feeling well. I planned to be there all day as urgent care's are usually packed and understaffed. But to my surprise this place was fantastic! It was clean and not packed. The front office was very friendly and professional. Took our insurance and had us fill out paperwork (not a lot) two sheets which is great. We were brought back and the nursing staff was great as well. The back was spacious and clean. Our room was comfortable. The wait was not long. I was a bit hesitant with the provider at first as she was very fast and to the point, I realized that she was the only one and had a full schedule. She turned out to be very kind once she slowed down a bit. While we waited for our discharge paperwork I received a call from CVS letting me know that my prescriptions were being filled. Very fast! The girls at the front desk do not know what they are doing. They took my insurance and were trying to make me pay a $159 deductible before any care was provided. All I should owe is the $20 co-pay as I have PPO insurance. I have been to several urgent cares in the area and this has never happened. I've neglected my body and health for far too long. My body finally tapped out and couldn't cope with my lifestyle choices anymore. All my loved ones encouraged and even forced me to get everything sorted instead of just lying in bed, hoping my body would recover on its own. I was completely out of it and couldn't find any of my documents, but the front desk staff really shined by allowing me to gather myself and worked with me to confirm my insurance. I've always had a phobia of medical settings because I know the lifestyle I've chosen isn't a healthy one. I guess hearing the truth is a difficult pill to swallow. Dr. Tamkoc approached me with a non-judgmental demeanor that made the consultation stress-free and safe. Dr. Tamkoc and his team really created a safe space for me, helping me forget the anxiety of visiting a medical facility. Given my condition and lab results, I was advised to admit myself to the ER to get all my levels back to equilibrium. Went inn around 1pm its was super empty Check me inn pretty fast front desk person was super friendly and helpful. when they took me in the room i explain was was wrong nurse wrote down everthing left. about 5 minute wait for the "doctor". Doctor came didn't even introduce himself look at my file looked at me for a quick 3 seconds looked back on my file and prescribe what I needed and left. He didn't even used proper equipment to look at my problem and just went by what the nurse had written. if he would have examined me right, he would have gave me the right meds. The medication didn't work. $160.00 down the drain. I had to go to other urgent care and waste more money. This place is alright if you want to a quick doctors note for work in my opinion. This is the best urgent care in the area. Short wait times for same day walk ins, and the doctor is very professional and caring. My partner and I have been here several times and had good experiences. Didn't feel rushed like some other places. On one occasion my partner did not react well to the medication that was prescribed (Steroid + antibiotics, it was a severe reaction) but it may just be an allergy thing, we are not 100% sure what happened. Came here for a second time and I can finally say what I should about this place. The nurses and customer service is great and the service is also fast and the place is clean. The only problem is the doctors. I've had the same doctor twice and both times I'd say I was under evaluated. I was not checked for my symptoms twice for more than 2 seconds and that's what they based my illness on. They assume what I had and wasn't assured for what I could have. I had to urge the nurse to give me a test to make sure the doctors diagnoses was correct and I was still told 'we could do it' in a way that sounded like a maybe not. The test came back negative for what he diagnosed and I was not diagnosed anything new but was told to take the steps and medication of my previous diagnosis. If you want a fast checkup that's not accurate but you can get medications I guess you could come here. I'd say it took half an hour or less for me to be seen and come out of the appointment. I HIGHLY recommend this place. I went in on Sunday (Christmas Eve) after feeling sick all morning with horrible swollen tonsils, body aches and headaches. That in itself was a big plus because everything was closed due to the holidays, and I did not want to go to an ER. Dr. Tamkoc was a sweetheart, he ran a couple test to rule out strep and mono, gave me treatment to help with the swelling and pain.
