Great bakery! The pastries are fresh, soft, not dry or excessively sweet! I don't know what the specific breads are called but I purchased a variety with different colored toppings and you can actually taste the different flavors rather than just a generic sugar topping. What I love the most is the cheesecake bars. They taste like excellent! Smooth, not excessively sweet with a buttery crust. The sweet empanadas are also good. Love this place so much they have a truck that comes to my town and everything they have tastes great, and stays soft and fresh even after having them in my house after a couple days. My favorites are the empanadas de calavasa, their conchas, and their chocolate cake! I have been a frequent patron of El Nopal Bakery for as long as I remember - maybe since I was like 6 years old. This place has the BEST sweet Mexican bread that I've ever had. I have lived in San Diego, South San Francisco and San Jose in addition to Reedley, and have tried Mexican Bread everywhere in around those places and including TJ and LA, but nothing compares to the delicacies from this place!!! Back when I first started eating mexican bread the cost was 25 cents, I think now it's up to 40 cents....none the less, this is the BEST Mexican Bakery ever! read more

I asked the man who answered the phone if he had masa made with vegetable oil by any chance (vegan friends) and he said "no si usted no quiere producto de animal preparela usted." I was super bummed out because its MY favorite masa! I was just trying to find an alternative for friends. Customer service and professionalism needs to improve greatly!!! read more
