Our first visit here. We had an excellent experience a very friendly server who helped us both decide on selections. We had requested a spicy or salsa and she suggested the green Verde sauce, which was outstanding. We did not know there was an extra charge for it, which I believe was only $.95 but it was worth it. Both of our meals came out hot and were absolutely delicious. It was a very homey cozy style restaurant with a separate door for pick up orders. We will certainly be back and be trying different items on the menu really can't say enough about the service here. It was just absolutely wonderful. read more

The service is some of the most disrespectful service I have ever recieved. I recommend going somewhere else because the waitresses complain and are rude. I was not served by a waitress because I don't "tip". Why would I tip when the service is absolutely terrible. I've had Mary and Kennedy the past two times and I can say they need to be fired immediately. I have never not been checked on because I looked like I wouldn't tip. The food was okay but service was tough. The chips were hilariously over salted. Our server acted like we were crazy for wanting chips that weren't ridiculously salty. When I asked for the checks the server brought them to the table. We sat around waiting for 10 minutes for the server to come collect our cards, but she was looking at her phone with the other servers in the corner. Eventually I brought her the credit cards at which point she said, "You pay up front, as always man." At which point I informed her we'd never been there before. I'd give this place a 4* if that girl had been better at her job and thought more carefully about the way she's coming off to customers. read more

We ordered our usual, House plate number 3, on Door dash. My first complaint is the take out containers. The guisada leaked all over everything in the bag. I know they have deli containers with lids because they use those for their salsa.My second complaint is the stale chips. All were stale and some were very dark, almost burned. The guisada was awful. Gristle and fat pieces. One piece of meat that a round tube thought it clearly visible, a vein perhaps? I don't know. It literally turned my stomach. Fed most of this meal to my dog. Refried beans were cold and the fried potatoes were cold too. For reference I live about about 100 yards away from this restaurant. So disappointed in the food quality today. This was not memorable at all for me. Food was similar to every other small family owned mexican style restaurant I've ever been to. Fine, but that's it. Food came out quick. Chips and salsa get all the credit. Basically, it's not "fun" go to. The cafe style dining, sticky everything, flashy dated decor. Not an ideal lunch date spot. I will pick El Norteno for breakfast 9 out of 10 times. Today they let me down. I ordered a breakfast combo burrito for carry out, with ham, eggs, beans and added (and paid extra for) rice, cheese, and sour cream. However, they failed to add the rice, and refried beans were a little firm, not fully cooked before mashing them. The rest was tasty, I'm just disappointed it wasn't what I paid for. read more

We had menudo and breakfast burritos. The breakfast burritos were huge and super cheap, but with lots of potato, not much egg, and hardly any bacon. The menudo was perfectly seasoned with a rich broth and lots of meat, but it was also very fatty (see picture) with lots of floating bits that even people who like menudo would not find appetizing. I ordered A shrimp cocktail for lunch and found out that the shrimp had the tale on all. The last time I ordered we're all peeled which makes it easier to eat. The flavor still was good. My recommendation is that shrimp should be peeled in cocktails. read more

What a great restaurant! Generous and well prepared portions, exceedingly fresh and mouth watering ingredients. The staff is great, and the chef's crew is outstanding. When I go to an eatery I am there to eat, not to critique the ambiance, or the decor. I go to have my appetite whetted and fed, and this place more than accomplishes that job in a spectacular manner. There are some franchise Mexican restaurants in this town, as well as Tex-Mex. They have a food truck as well, and it is mt GO TO for Breakfast Burritos. Lunch at 12 this Saturday. Place was dirty, help seemed to be disoriented and service was marginal. Had to ask for eating utensils and refills on drinks. Requested a salad plate for my chips. Never received. Food was cold and way too salty. Local paper gave it 5 forks. Just a terrible lunch. When asked how was lunch, paying bill, I told the women my concerns and she immediately broke eye contact, no further concerns. Got my change and will never return. read more

Heard good things about this place and figured it was time to give it a try. It's located in a shopping plaza very easy to get to with plenty of parking. Well I've never had grilled tacos before and that's what I've been told is the food to eat. So I gave it a try and it was excellent. You get large portions and the food is priced very reasonably. Waited 55 minutes for a table for 7. With numerous empty tables. They refused to put tables together because "they are in two different waiters sections". They said they were waiting on one table to be emptied to put it with an empty table - when the table emptied the sloth like table bussers started cleaning a table that had seated 12 rather than the one that had 3......long story short.....it sucked. Food was mediocre. Waitress was good. 2 hours after we walked in - we walked out happy to say we will never return. read more

2 stars, because nice staff. If it was just based on the food, it would definitely be 1. I gave this place another chance today, after ordering their quesadilla the other day. At the moment, I am feeling sick to my stomach and nautious after having the super nachos. The meat on both entrees are horrible tasting, as if they're recycled/old, or not real meat. While eating the nachos, I had that feeling that I could possible be sick later, so I stopped eating it. I wanted to try this place out because someone recommended it to me, saying it was authentic Mexican food, and good. That person has a low bar for good food. It was not only bad meat, but the cheese was the cheap, shredded kind that you buy in bulk, and both platters I tried literally had a pool of grease under all the food (not the normal amount with Mexican food). The service is horrible. Waited over 25 minutes for a check and the waitresses refused to clean off one of the eight dirty tables for a line of 10 people waiting at the door. I've been wanting to try this place for weeks, so my wife and I arrived for breakfast at 9:30am on a Saturday morning and it was DEAD! Made me wonder if it was any good. The restaurant was clean and we were greeted right away and provided menus and chips with salsa while the server took our drink orders. The salsa had a nice bite to it and was d-lish! It made me wish I could get a jar of it to go. I ordered the Chilaquiles while my wife ordered the Huevos a la Mexicana. Both were nice portions and were very good. The fried potatoes were very hot so we knew they were freshly made. Our orders came with a single flour tortilla that was HUGE and freshly made. Yum-my! The server was excellent and very attentive, checking on us frequently and giving us drink refills. By the time our food came out (about a 12 minute wait), a TON of people had arrived and the place was jumpin'! I don't normally give 5-star ratings but this was an exceptionally good experience and we both agreed it deserved one. read more
