We are new to the area, and a neighbor recommended El Nuevo Tequila. What a find! First of all, the artwork on the walls is beautiful. Margaritas were incredible, as was the complimentary fresh chips and salsa. They have quite an extensive menu: we had the taco loco, chile relleno, enchilada and tamale. Service was very good. I ordered a burrito loco which contain beef, chicken and pork. The beef clearly was on its way out. You could both taste it and smell it. I informed the waiter abd his response was "I'm pretty sure its fresh", as if I was lying and walked away. So I asked to speak to the manager. He came with the same response. I asked him had he checked. He came back and said the head cook said they had just cut the meat today. That doesn't make it fresh! He then said he didn't know what I wanted him to do. Asked if I wanted them to make it over. Not with the same beef. I finally told him to make it over and just leave the beef out. If I get sick from eating bad beef they will hear about it! read more

It may not look like much on the outside, but as soon as you walk in the door you are immediately immersed in a cozy atmosphere with plenty of charm! My son and I came here around 8:25pm on a Wednesday evening to get some dinner. There was no one at the host stand but we didn't wait long for someone to come. We were seated in a booth. My side of the booth felt weird... It felt hard as if I was sitting on the board la underneath. Our waiter came over fairly quickly and took our drink order, which was two waters. He didn't introduce himself, which is a huge pet peeve of mine. We ordered food around 8:42pm. I got my son the kids taco with double rice. I got the texanos fajitas with no guacamole salad and extra rice. I also got flour tortillas. My food arrived at 8:52pm on a hot skillet! My rice and beans came on a side plate. I ordered a Miami vice at 8:53pm when my sons food came. My rice and beans were cold and I didn't have any tortillas. While waiting, I used the chips as a base for my food. I ended up telling another waitress about the issues who simply went and got my waiter. My waiter came over about a minute later. After I explained what was going on, he took my rice and beans plate. He came back with the tortillas and told me they were "warming up" my rice and beans... My drink came at 8:59pm. Around 9:01pm, another waiter brought my rice and beans plate. It was the same plate and food.. not even fresh. I know because the same indention I made in the beans when I first tasted it was still there. The comical part was that it was BARELY much warmer than the first time, LOL! I didn't even say anything. I just ate the rest of my food. The fajitas themselves were flavorful and delicious. No complaints! The rice was eh, okay. The beans were typical. The Miami vice was good. I'm not a huge fan of coconut. It tasted better when I mixed both sides together. As I was drinking my drink, I got the bill. Per the bill, our waitress was Miguel. I scanned the QR code on my receipt and paid the bill. Miguel didn't even come back. I was looking around to tell him I paid online but he wasn't in sight, so I just left. Overall, I'm disappointed. I've heard positive things from friends who has been there and it wasn't even that busy. Im bothered that they didn't give me fresh rice and beans when I said they were cold or, at minimum, attempted to make it hot. read more

Service was below average. I asked if there was a Mexican beer on tap and she went and had to look. It was Modelo and the beer was a cheap pour, full of head. I drove by this place and saw it tucked away in the shopping center. Had to come here. Very glad that I did. It's a fun restaurant with good music and colorful decorations all over the place. The margarita was tasty and as festive as this establishment. The salsa and guacamole was excellent. Super fresh. We decided to order something to share so the molcajete was the right call. Beware, I ate at this joint last Sunday for lunch. When we got the tab for $24.80 I left a cash tip of over 20% on the table and paid at register with a Debit card. Food is always great. Service isn't bad. The drinks could be better but drinkable. Absolutely love the steak fajita with spicy green salsa sauce. Personally I don't like the sides like the rice but other than that and the alcoholic drinks I like this place and will continuing coming back. I am going to give a few new alcoholic drinks a try and will stay posted about them so far the blue margarita and the strawberry daiquiri was way to strong of alcohol taste and the strawberry daiquiri was made wrong it should be frozen not with ice still in it. read more

El Nuevo Tequila is a fun, lively place. Waite staff was excellent. I had the tostadas Campechanas, a side Chile Relleno, and house margarita. The tostadas were 3 corn tortillas piled high with a wonderfully fresh shrimp and octopus ceviche. The seafood was perfectly cured, bright with lime and cilantro. Two tostadas were all I could eat for dinner. The 3rd made for an excellent breakfast the next morning. The margarita was nicely balanced using what must be a decent tequila. I don't recall what everyone else in our party had, but everyone was pleased. I'd have given 5 stars if I'd stopped there, but the chile relleno was a cold mess. I didn't photograph it so as not to detract from the tostada. It was a flat, possible uncooked chile with what tasted like a Mexican cheese whiz poured over it. I don't understand how a restaurant that produces ceviche so well could plate a relleno like this. I highly recommend El Nuevo but avoid the chile relleno. read more
