This place is honestly a whole vibe. Their dinner selections are always on point - one of my favorites they usually keep on the menue is the "Kitchen Sink". Great margaritas too! Kind staff, comfortable atmosphere.

Side bar is a lovely little bar and restaurant in Uptown. Their drinks and dishes were all Latin inspired. While everything we tried was very delicious, they were also not at all what we expected when looking at the menu. I recommend coming to side bar if you would like to be pleasantly surprised and try new dishes and combinations. It's the perfect place for evening drinks and food with friends. I must also comment that we adored the glassware our drinks came in and inside is lovely. The large bar with open shelves and plants is definitely the focal point. They also have spacious patio seating.

Had a drink here sitting at the bar. I must say I'm impressed with the atmosphere of the area. High quality drinks but also a tv with the games on as well. They also serve food here. Close at 10PM so a good solid location to go to. Bartender was very professional as well.

Very cool hipster vibes from the decor to the music that reminded me of Seattle. I'm glad there is a place like this in Greenville that makes me feel more at home. I got the spicy carne asada burrito. It was especially spicy even for me so I can see it being too spicy for others. Portion is large and I took half of it home. Service was a bit off as we could not find our waitress at one point however it may have been shift change and won't stop me from coming back.

Taco, burritos and more. Good atmosphere and great service. They have a full bar and their bar menu is outstanding.

This pic doesn't do the dish. It was delish!! Can't wait to take the whole family! You can eat inside or outside. But get there early because free parking is limited.

This is a fantastic spot and we've been coming here lately for brunch. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Their servers are friendly and knowledgeable about what they are serving. The chicken tinga nachos are so good w/ home made chips. The smokehouse cowboy tacos are only on their brunch menu and I loved them. I believe my new favorite is their Fajita Steak tacos. Everything is super flavorful and well thought out. I love the simple margarita and the Pineapple Express is my girlfriend's favorite. I'll be coming back for dinner and brunch. Till next time.....

The food was excellent. The service was attentive. I highly recommend making a reservation and arriving on-time. We watched many arrive to be turned away or seated outside. I'll return and sample more menu options! The Pineapple Express was very very good.

The ambience is perfect, with the soft Hispanic music playing in the background. They have traditional Mexican dishes you normally can't get at Americanized Mexican restaurants. I had the regular "Tortas" [submarine sandwiches]. Al Pastor Tortas was what I got. This is a warm "telera" bread [a savoury Mexican bread made with wheat flour] toasted over the grill with your choice of protein, mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, queso fresco aka cheese, and crema. My meal was delicious and filling. I also had mango juice to do with my meal. I had an amazing experience, the workers were friendly and the food was amazing! If you're in Winterville, NC, and you are craving some fresh and authentic Mexican food, I recommend stopping by this taco shop. Taqueria Tere was highly recommended by a friend, and I am happy to pass on the recommendation.

My sandwich ( I know, should have taken pictures) was literally half that size - if not less. My bread was nowhere near the size of the Yelp picture either. Skimpy ingredients inside only added insult to injury. The sandwich I was served was absolutely, positively not even close to being worth $10 plus dollars. It was a $4 sandwich after hunting for the chicken. I can go to Chipotle and order three times as much food $10-$11 bucks. Utter disappointment.

I love that they offer movie screenings and other themed activities/events. A friend & I had drinks and tapas at the bar but there were other options for seating either in the open area w/ umbrella tables or under the awning. Our drinks were pretty good and I would go back for such. I loved the drinkware! I had a chicken burrito bowl that was just ok. It lacked seasoning and I had to add salsa & lime juice to give it a little life. I don't see it offered on the most current menu. There wasn't a whole lot on the menu I could eat to avoid dairy, pork, and beef; so, I was happy to find that this dish was easily customizable. My friend had the birra barria tacos and really enjoyed them along with taquitos. The bartender seemed to be in her own world and aloof - maybe she a lot on her mind. She was holding the bar down by herself and seemed to be cleaning a lot. I can't say she was very friendly or attentive to us; however, when I got her attention, she delivered. There was a guy that came out later who had a totally different (and pleasant) vibe - greeted us w/ smiles & energy. That was appreciated.

We'd heard that there was one place in town where we could get them, which came highly recommended by a friend who'd been here. The caveat was that the birria tacos are only served on Fridays. So we planned to do birria tacos on Friday. We came here and got 4 orders of birria tacos. I added an agua de Jamaica to my order. While we waited, I perused the adjacent grocery store and purchased some Mexican Coca-Colas, conchas, and a box of mango Pulparindo. Soon enough, our order was ready. We took our goodies back to my place, turned on a good movie, and partook in our feast. These tacos are full of flavor. The meat is tender, and the cheese was perfectly melted inside the consome-soaked tortillas. The meal is served with pickled onion and habanero pepper, fresh cilantro and onions, limes, and a house-made hot sauce. Of course, in true birria fashion, there is a cup of hot consome in which to dunk the tacos. The freshness of the condiments perfectly compliments the fatty richness of the tacos. Jamaica is my favorite agua fresca and always reminds me of my favorite Caribbean drink, Sorrel, as they are both made from the hibiscus flower. Though Mexican Agua de Jamaica has a different flavor profile than Sorrel, it always fills me with a sense of comfort and nostalgia. Their Jamaica is delicious and comes in a huge cup, so you always get enough. Since this first visit, we've made taco Fridays a tradition. I always order the birria tacos and agua de Jamaica. I've also tried lots of their other tacos (asada, chicharron, pastor, lengua, etc.) as an add-on to my birria order, but the birria outshines them all. These tacos are absolutely wonderful and I highly recommend adding them to your Friday takeout tradition. Be sure to peruse the pastry case for a fresh dessert to finish your meal and pick up some other treats along the way.
