Simple, authentic, comforting -- the Beyoncé of the order. Zero drama, zero surprises, just good. And the real MVP moment: they delivered to New Braunfels. From Seguin. Through Uber Eats. That's not delivery -- that's commitment. That's "we will cross county lines to make sure you're fed." Even though one taco wasn't my vibe, I'd absolutely order again -- just with a different lineup. Stopped in here for brunch after morning church. Absolutely LOVED this place. The wait staff was so kind checking in on us, welcoming us and talking to us building up a relationship with complete strangers. The interior is old and needs to be updated but it has it's own charm. Having said that - we came for the food and it did not disappoint. Large portions for a good price. Migas with Cheese was so good, eggs were fluffy, pico de gallo was fresh, beans and potatoes were served hot and were exactly what I expected with light seasoning. I also loved the salsa they provided to add to it, super good and the perfect fit for my Tex-Mex breakfast. Best thing about Mexican food would definitely be the breakfast tacos. There beans are definitely reheated with old ass tortillas. As a local, I have driven by here at least 100 times, but never stopped. As someone who speaks Spanish, I admit to being fascinated with the name and why the words don't fit together grammatically-- but I digress. There is no special ambience here to set it apart from the many other good Mexican food restaurants in Seguin, and the men's restroom was just barely acceptable with a malfunctioning soap dispenser and empty towel dispenser. I have a bad habit of filling up on chips and salsa, but here the temptation was easy to resist. The salsa was a bit watery and the chips were pretty typical - probably purchased. The lemonade sort of fell into that same category. I ordered chilies rellenos with beef, one of my favorite dishes. On a scale of 1 to 10, these were probably a five--a bit too cheesy. First off the this place is always doing well. They keep it clean. The food comes out quick and hot, so for any of you that have time constraint this would be a good place to go. I have had everything on the menu, and have never been disappointed. Great food. The price is also good, it averages about $7.00 to $15.00 for some items.They also have specials that come with a tea. In Seguin for a softball tournament with my daughter, and looked at Yelp for reviews. El Olvido Hacienda has wonderful Tex-Mex, and the family working there (I will assume the owners) extended warm hospitality. Hot sauce is served warm, and has a little kick. Best corn tortillas that I have ever eaten. Food was hot, came out quickly, but was not smothered in Chilli and Cheese like most traditional Tex-Mex places serve. I ordered the El Tapatio dinner, which is a traditional plate with enchiladas, crispy tacos, and a chalupa. The server was very pleasant and nice. The gravy on the Fiesta burrito was amazing; the chicken in the fajita plate was perfectly tender and juicy; the guacamole was smooth and flavourful; they have three types of salsa of which the two reds are good but the green is a little sweet.
