What a great little find about 45 minutes outside of San Antonio...thanks to fellow yelpers!! Walked in, immediately greeted by an extremely warm and friendly staff made up of family and friends, I assume. We were welcomed and sat and asked if this was our first time...we said yes and they proceeded to go over some of the local favorites and must-try's. Again, let me repeat...WHAT A NICE FIND! The food was delicious and fresh tasting - you could really see the pride the family had in their humble little eatery. If you're in the area - do yourself a favor and stop by. Folks best authentic Mexican restaurant I've ever had. It's very small place out middle no where. Hole in the wall but absolutely AMAZING. Made fresh daily specials and their tortilla chips and tortillas all made from scratch. Salsa are amazing! Prices are very reasonable and the ladies at Lola's are so friendly. You will not go home disappointed. I had the carne asada plate and the carne was fresh, the beans were smoky and rice was soft and flavors melt in your mouth. I also added barracho beans on side that contained pork, jalapeños, tomato, onions and perfect blend spices. You got to try this hidden gem in Texas. read more

Update 9/28/19 (one yr later): We were on a return trip from Fredericksburg to Houston today and decided to make an out of the way detour to bring our friends this time. Lola did not disappoint... she and her family/team treated our friends to incredible, authentic, flavor-packed Mexican food. Our friends were more than pleased and thanked me more than once for taking us out of the way to go here. It was a huge hit! The borracho beans are imcredible and the carne guisada is 5-star flavor all the way. Even the refried beans (slightly smokey made them so good!) were awesome! Can't say enough good things about this place! Make the effort to plan your trip along I-10 to stop in Seguin, Tx and eat at Lola's. I promise... you'll thank me later! ;) read more

Lola's food is fabulous. Their hot sauce is soooogood. My favorite item is a salad that's not even on the menu. Dusty's Salad. I think. Anyway, if you say that you'll get a huge plate with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, asada (meat) and avocado. read more

Always busy, always clean, the girls are great and keep up with everyone. I stop in every 8-10 weeks when I'm in town and they always ask how I've been where I've been etc. they're great. I wish the menu had a couple more things but they'll make you anything you ask for, I just hate to be a nuisance. We each had the bottled Mexican Coca Cola and enchiladas.
