Best tacos I've had in a lonnnnnnnnng time. Both were great but that Al pastor taco is DIFFERENT. Extremely fresh ingredients. They came with a side of like a verde guac which was sooo tasty. Do yourself a favor , stop going to Taco Bell. Come to an authentic taco spot! Tell all your friends to come check this spot out!!

Best Mexican food in Lancaster! Their portions are generous and well worth the money. I love their red hot salsa

We stumbled upon Traveling J's at the 2nd Annual All Hallow's Flea and couldn't resist. With two…read morefood truck options--burgers (always a solid standby) or Middle Eastern fusion--we decided to go for the more adventurous choice. Best decision of the day. Even with the huge crowd, Traveling J's was running like a well-oiled machine. Two people--just a chef and a cashier--were absolutely cranking out orders while still keeping the line moving fast. Impressive! We narrowed our choices down to two items to split - Gourmet Grilled Cheese + Garlic Cilantro Fries (upgrade) and Hummus with carrots & cucumbers. Add two cold drinks and our total came to $28.62. Not bad considering the generous portions. When we opened our to-go boxes, we were seriously impressed. The hummus was smooth and creamy, drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with spices. The fries were crispy (not soggy!) with just the right kick of garlic and cilantro. And the grilled cheese? Perfectly toasted, melty, and stuffed with sweet, crispy bacon. Cheese was oozing, bread was golden, and it was everything a grilled cheese should be--and then some. The portions were more than enough for two hungry adults, and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I even made sure to compliment the chef--he looked like he'd been hustling nonstop to keep up with the crowd, and it showed in the quality. Next time, I've got my eye on their fried Halloumi cheese. It looked AMAZING coming out of that truck. Bottom line: Fresh, flavorful, filling, and run by a hardworking duo who know what they're doing. Traveling J's is officially on my "must-eat-again" list.

The shaved fennel salad with grapefruit was bright, balanced, and refreshing, a perfect opening course. The root vegetables were thoughtfully prepared and deeply flavorful, and the garlic mashed potatoes were rich, comforting, and impeccably seasoned. The braised beef short ribs were the standout. Incredibly tender, deeply savory, and cooked with a level of precision that is rarely seen in catered meals. Paired with warm bread and butter, the entire meal felt cohesive, elevated, and intentional. Justin is also a true professional and a pleasure to work with. He is responsive, accommodating of dietary preferences, and follows up personally to ensure the experience exceeds expectations. His commitment to excellent food and genuine customer service sets Traveling J's apart. I would recommend Justin without hesitation.

Definitely lemony, custardy egg thick and rice; this is something I'll need to compare with another, avgolemono. Perhaps the addition of a bit more chicken stock (to thin it out) and some larger pieces of chicken, would have evened out the flavors. Back to Lancaster's Greek restaurants, to include "gyros;" they're hella good, but expensive, elsewhere within Lancaster. I know; I've heard it all before: we make our pita and dips from scratch, our feta is flown in from Greece, fries are hand cut (yeah yeah, yadda yadda) and you leave, wondering why your bill for two gyros, was near to $70. This was not the case with Souvlaki Boys and they're gyros are just as good, tender, savory meat, soft pita, stuffed with your choice of homemade tzatki sauces, feta, loaded with fresh, crunchy salad veggies and yes, hand cut fries - all within this gal's budget.

Luckily, there's a private parking lot behind the store that you can park or you can street park. I think there is garage parking a short walking distance away. It's a quaint corner restaurant with indoor seating. You can dine in or take out. There's a bench to use if you're waiting for take out and there's probably enough seating for about 20 guests. Food is made to order. Expect to wait. The staff tells you ahead of time that it may take 15-20 minutes to prepare. I'm perfectly Ok with waiting for a freshly made order. The staff was super friendly and patient as I wasn't sure what I wanted to order. I opted for the classic gyro but without fries inside the pita. When we got our food, the gyro did have fries. The girl who brought our food offered to have a new one made without fries but we kept the gyro as is. The fries on the gyro didn't overtake the sandwich so it was actually pretty good. Ordered a side of fries also. Seasoned perfectly and not too oily/greasy. We never had baklava before. That dessert was very delicious. It was warmed and dusted with cinnamon as suggested by staff. It did not disappoint. Very pleased with this lunch spot. Worth the wait. Will try again. Thanks for a great experience.
