Mary responded to my request within hours, then we had a great conversation and she sent me a quote quickly, and recommended a place to rent a tent and chairs and such. At the last minute we requested someone to man the brunch station she provided and she came through! The food was delivered on time, and was perfect, and the service they provided was AMAZING. If you are looking for a caterer you can count on, Macri's is your place. It's always a little nerve wracking picking a company out of the blue, but Thank You Mary. Wonderful job!

The quote included very reasonable prices for my client, even though what she was asking for, was in less then a week... The company also contacted me after sending the quote, making sure I didn't have any additional questions. I was disappointed that my client was having a difficult time making a decision, but I appreciated this company's manner and customer service throughout the process. It eased my stress and frustrations, allowing me to add them to my list of caterers I would be contacting in the future.

The food tasted good and presented well at the wedding. Unfortunately, several major disappointments left a bad taste in our mouths and we regret having them cater our wedding. Calla disappeared two days before our wedding and we were surprised with Brittney on the day of the wedding without any communication from Sir D's. Hors d'oeuvres were served to us one time without our full selection present while we were taking photographs during cocktail hour. Our dinners were not packed up as leftovers for our pleasure as agreed upon. Worst of all, was the final invoice disagreement following the wedding. We were charged our initial quoted price and not the amended proposal price. We were charged for 6 vendor meals instead of 4. We were charged for an additional hour of time which was not agreed upon. We were charged for centerpiece and cake/cupcake setup, which was painstakingly done by family and relatives, not the caterer. I respectfully pointed out the discrepancies line by line in an e-mail. The e-mail was acknowledged, and a check was sent to us. The total difference in amount paid and corrected final invoice was over $1,000. The check we received was for just over $500. I e-mailed. I called. Eventually, I received my only response from the owner, Don Noss, that he personally reviewed the necessary information and could explain the additional charges at my convenience. I called the number provided and left multiple voicemails. We followed up with an out-of-the-way in-person visit only to be refused any time to discuss the disputed amounts. Our only remedy that remained was civil court... which we declined to pursue and incurred the loss of over $500. Save yourself the hassle and find another caterer.

This little hole-in-the-wall sits on the backside of a rivertown, serving up old-school vibes and seriously good pizza. The dough and sauce are made in-house, and you can taste it -- crust was crisp yet airy, with a buttery richness and just enough chew to make each bite satisfying. Sauce had a bit of spice, cheese was bubbly, browned, and full of real-deal flavor (no sad, fake cheese here). Toppings? Plentiful and delicious. We came dangerously close to finishing the whole pie, stopping only two slices short. For drinks, my adventure buddy went classy with an Old Fashioned (good, but nothing to write home about -- and the bar's lack of Luxardo cherries made him sad), while I kept it real with a draft Miller Lite. The beer was cold and clean -- and honestly, from a hole-in-the-wall bar, that's something I appreciate. Bartender doubled as our waitress and handled it like a pro, even on a slow Monday night. The place is dark and cozy, decorated with lots of '50s-inspired artwork, and apparently has a rooftop bar -- sadly closed during our summer date night. The bill came to $42 for the pizza, two drinks, and a tip -- budget-friendly date night win. No on-site parking, but plenty of free curb spots out front or municipal lots a block away. Safe area for an after-dark stroll. If you're into unpretentious spots serving pizza that punches above its weight, Fratelli's is your jam.
