Hands down legit BBQ! My husband and I stopped in for a meal before heading over to a demolition derby. Best decision ever! The pulled pork sandwich was delicious and the sausage was nice and smoky. They even recommended sauces that worked best with each meat. The slaw, potato salad and corn cake were all so flavorful. All of the ladies checked on us a few times throughout our meal. Stopped here on a weekend for lunch after reading reviews. Parking is parallel on the street with meters. It was busy when we entered - there were 3 tables inside but all were taken so we ordered takeout. We ordered two brisket sandwiches, Mac and cheese, and cornbread. The sandwiches came with a small container of slaw and a choice of BBQ sauce, and a side of pickles. Let me agree with another reviewer - the Mac and Cheese was the best I've ever had! Buttery, cheesy and not overly saucy with large macaroni noodles, full of flavor - truly scrumptious. And the slaw was delicious too - with celery seed and a dressing that was mild and flavorful and the cabbage was fresh and crisp not overly creamy and limp like so many others. Now I want to try all of their sides! I like that the takeout was packaged in separate containers - even the roll was separate in a baggie so that we built the sandwich before we ate it and it wasn't all soggy in the bag before we reached our destination to eat. Everything from ordering, having the food delivered by Rocky himself and set up all went perfectly! Then there was the food. Wow! It was so good. This was our first time here so we tried 2 full rack of ribs with a Carolina sauce and a traditional sauce plus sides of the mac and cheese and the baked beans to go. The 2 racks of ribs were wrapped together in 2 wraps of plastic and then into a huge amount of heavy foil so as not to leak. They were very heavy, meaty, tender, not fall off the bone but allowed you to chew the meat off if you prefer to do that. They were wet but not saucy, almost a combo of a dry rub plus some sauce. Each rack was cut into 3 parts for 3 meals but with leftovers, it was another meal of them. The traditional sauce was very good and as expected in flavor. The Carolina sauce was thin and vinegary, not our favorite. The mac and cheese was very cheesy. The baked beans had so much hamburger in them plus onions that it could be a meal on its own. Included was a small container of pickles, didn't look all that good but they were crisp and delicious. It's quality food, good, tasty, meaty ribs, good sides, and a good value for the price paid. It is meter parking but you can wait while someone runs inside if you preorder. If the weather is nice, go over to the parking area at the park along the river. read more

The food usually sells out fast so if you want to eat here, pre-order for pick up. I love the Mac and baked beans for sides. The pickles are delicious too! I usually get the pulled pork sandwich platter. I have tried everything on this menu, I don't like brisket period so I'm not a good judge of that but people seem to love it. The only thing I don't enjoy on the menu is the collard greens, I don't like tomatoes in it and not what I'm used to. Excellent service and the establishment is always clean and friendly. read more

We first encountered Rocky's during the monthly First Friday Food Truck Court in Downtown Lancaster and it was addiction at first bite. From the smoky yet tender, melt in your mouth chicken to the spicy authentic collard greens, to the creamy euphoria inducing Mac & cheese, Rocky's hits a home run every time. We loved Rocky's so much we even had them cater our wedding, food truck, smoker, and all. To date, our food is still the most talked about aspect of our wedding. We had a BBQ smorgasbord of pulled pork sandwiches topped with homemade slaw, smoked chicken, BBQ spare ribs, and all the trimmings. I know I'm in the minority here but I didn't find Rocky's to be very good. It was OK. The Brunswick stew wasn't exactly a stew and didn't seem anything like what I usually get when I order Brunswick stew. I also got the brisket sandwich. Brisket was cut thin and was very lean, almost dry. It came with an au jus which helped with the dry but then took away from the bbq sauce taste. Sauces were OK. Meat had no smoke. What can I say?? We had Rocky's cater a surprise 50th birthday party for my boyfriend this weekend. Nothing but the BEST for my guy, so I ordered Rocky's, and in a bit of a pinch. But Rocky's totally came through for me, and made the whole experience very easy, start to finish. They even set up the food for me and gave suggestions on what to do to keep the food hot and fresh. And let me tell you, the guests were going crazy over the food!! The pulled pork, cole slaw, bbq sauces, brisket, Mac and cheese, and baked beans were absolutely delicious! My cousins and I were even ecstatic to find some pickles in the delivery, which disappeared immediately. We order from the restaurant frequently, and some even drive from Maryland just for Rocky's. We just cannot say enough great things about Rocky's food, and the service is always top notch. Excellent! Hands down best BBQ in Lancaster County. We had both beef brisket and pulled pork sandwiches with excellent slaw and two tasty sauces. One was "slightly spicy", which was great with the beef and a Carolina vinegar sauce that went perfectly with the pulled pork. We had beans and macaroni and cheese, both homemade and delicious.
