Been coming here for 5 years now, the food is awesome...mostly consistent. BUT the service HORRENDOUS! We were told 30 min wait for a 2 table wait, that was fine. When sat we waited 5 min or so to be acknowledged by any sever I counted 6. When I asked about taco specials seeing how it was taco Tuesday my server rolled her eyes listed chicken carne or shrimp...no prices just a list of tacos available. We ordered our food, after about 10 minutes later I had to approach all the servers behind the bar giving each other back rubs to ask them for chips and salsa since food was taking longer than normal and my kids were getting wild. The manager brought us our food just sat it down and left. Our server came shortly after and I was able to get an extra plate I needed but after that no checkup on us the food or our empty soda cups. Working in the same service and knowing the 6 servers working only had 14 tables all together in the restaurant and couldn't even express the 10-4 rule was disappointing. Oh and here's the "fresh chips" crumbs we waited for them to "freshly make." The pasta was amazing if you're looking for friendly fast good service this is NOT the place.

I visited El Paraiso last Thursday night for dinner and have dined there a few times over the past several years. It's an unusual restaurant as it is a combination of Mexican and Italian dishes being offered. El Paraiso is in its own building with an ample sized gravel parking on the side and rear. Inside it consists of one large open dining room with a small bar. There is another separate room for private parties. This is a casual table service eatery. Shortly after being seated the table receives complimentary chips and red salsa no matter which side of the menu you order from. My last Yelp review here was for Mexican so this time I went Italian ordering the Rosemary chicken for $17. I tried not to eat too much of the chips and salsa because eating those and then Italian food seemed weird but to each his own. The entree arrived less than 20 minutes later. It was a chicken breast that had been sautéed in olive oil with mushrooms, garlic, spinach and rosemary (of course) that made for a tasty sauce over a bed of fettuccine. It was both delicious and filling. The meal also came with a generous piece of buttered garlic bread. The table service was good too. El Paraiso is a restaurant that does pull off serving very good Italian and Mexican meals in the Chino Valley. It's a good and solid choice for a meal.

We were a little iffy about going to a place that does both Mexican and Italian food. But we're pleasantly surprised with el paraiso! We only got Mexican food so I can't talk about the Italian side, but what we did have was great! Lots of flavor! There was a bit of wait as it was packed in the restaurant as well which is always a good sign! Our server was quick and attentive even with how busy it was. I'm looking forward to coming back to try the Italian food!

Hubby and I checked this place out after our 14 mile bike ride on the Peavine trail. We arrived a bit after 12noon and were seated and ordered our food (two entrees) by 12:15. Within minutes, the place got incredibly busy, and the two young ladies who were seating and waiting on customers were completely overwhelmed. It took 45 minutes for our food. No appetizers, just two entrees. My husband had an Italian pasta dish and I had their Ceviche bowl. Thankful that our 45 minute wait resulted in good tasting food - but that's far too long to wait. After our bike ride, we were famished! So as much as we enjoyed the food here at this family-owned restaurant, it's a 'one and done' for us.

If you've dined here before, you already know exactly what I'm talking about. We ordered the Spicy Sausage & Broccolini Ravioli and the Meat Ravioli, and both dishes were outstanding. Every bite was flavorful and perfectly prepared. The service was exceptional, and the warm, inviting atmosphere makes you feel as though you're dining in Italy. Thank you to everyone at Papa's for continuing to make dining out such a special experience. We'll definitely be back!

Experience it. Learn from what you experience and take that back to Prescott. In sum, the food (while Italian style) was not at all representative of authentic Italian culture. The warmth of being in an Italian home like many establishments throughout Italy and the U.S. was not present. And the food! The sauce was amateurish at best - composed of huge chunks of canned stewed tomatoes than actual sauce. The chicken (in my Chicken Parmesan) was intensely dry and rubbery which tells me that the breasts we're made and then frozen. The pasta was regular cheap grocery store pasta. The salad - "Italian" dressing - tasted it came from a commercial brand. Lastly the service, was ok at best. No one offered or was even around to give us fresh grated Parmesan cheese or fresh cracked pepper in our salad. The bread served on the table was good and our Aperol Spritz was excellent. Overall, I suppose we should have expected this... ethnic food in a small town is far more "miss" than it is "hit" but I did appreciate how warm and inviting the atmosphere is. Sorry... I just want people who come from out Of town who have traveled and experienced many beautiful versions of of the Real Thing... this is not that.

With a craving for pizza we found this place through a map search for restaurants as possible…read more The place is quaint with a Southwest ambiance. It was full of patrons for dinner and we were seated right away in a cozy booth. Strangely the table was far short of the seating. The menu is broad with all the typical Italian selections. We put in our drink order and I had a Argentine Malbec. It was rich and delicious. We started with an appetizer of Arancini. These traditional fried rice balls were huge, two of them. Mixed with peas and other tasty ingredients, the exterior were nice and crunchy. Cooked perfectly they were delicious with a cup of Marinara to pour over them. The pizza we ordered was the 18" Mediteraneo with grilled chicken, ricotta and mozzarella cheese and a pesto sauce. The 18" was very adequate sized for four hungry people with some left over. The pizza was good yet a bit off in that the cheese overpowered everything else. I do not recall eating any chicken or tasting the pesto. The ricotta seemed to be a unique ingredient yet it doesn't seem to set properly as if it was applied frozen (?) The service was extroadinary, so friendly and accommodating. The only mistep which is probably a kitchen problem is we waited and waited for the appetizer. When it finally arrived the pizza arrived literally right on top of it with not enough room on the table. I'd return to try some of their other Italian offerings.

LaBruzza's is a hole-in-the-wall family run restaurant that is located in a very unexpected place. I mean if you don't know, you won't know!!! It's off a busy street, but next to a body shop in a not so kept-up parking lot. The outside is nothing to write home about, but the inside is rather quaint and what you would expect from an Italian restaurant (red and white checkered tablecloths, dark lighting, and random autographed photos of previous customers). We were told there is usually a wait, but we happened to go on a good day, because we arrived at 5PM and were seated almost immediately. We were a party of three and were seated at a somewhat tight-fitting booth, but with a little moving of the table, it worked! A house salad with creamy Italian dressing and a small loaf of bread were brought to the table soon after we sat and in addition to the menus, a large whiteboard with daily specials was brought out and placed before us. There were many dishes to choose from, but I think we all made our selections rather quickly. My husband ordered off the specials menu and got the 1/2 Parmesan Chicken and 1/2 ShrimpAlfredo. He really enjoyed both! Our friend who actually reminded us of this place, ordered the Cajun Shrimp. His dish was very well served and looked delicious. He said it was the best meal he has ever eaten at LaBruzza's! As for myself, I had to try the lasagna, which comes served with a meatball on the side, but I always have to try the Italian sausage and so I ordered a side and it actually came with two! I basically ordered way too much food, but it was worth it! My lasagna was so good. The sauce was perfect and the Italian sausages were spicy just how I like them. Unfortunately, I think I was full from the salad and bread alone, but I did get to take home my leftovers for the next day. YUM! The service was quite pleasant. Our server was very attentive and other staff kept our table cleared from dirty dishes and kept water glasses full. It is a very casual place and I imagine it can probably get a bit noisy. We just happened to be there on a non-busy evening (World Cup was on) and noise level was average for the amount of patrons. Prices are pretty average with seafood items being a bit more costly, which is not uncommon. I think the best part is that you can bring your own bottle of wine and they provide the glasses and corkscrew! This is so far the best Italian food that we have had since moving to the area. We will definitely be back!
