Parking can be tricky, I parked halfway down the side street in front of the city park. The place was clean and everybody was friendly. I liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. It kind of reminded me of a Cantina. Definitely a Latin vibe. The menu was on an iPad, and it was in Spanish, but just by knowing a few words and by the pictures, I knew what I wanted to order. I could've also used the Google translator on my phone, if I wanted to. I ordered the bandeja mixta. Grilled steak, grilled chicken, sausage, blood sausage, rice, beans and sofrito covered potatoes. The food came quickly, and it was delicious. Both the steak and the chicken were tender and had so much flavor. I loved the taste of the Sofrito covered potatoes. The potatoes were just the right texture, and the Sofrito was creamy and delicious. A little bit of the rice, I mixed in with the beans, And it made for a wonderful rice and beans dish. It was definitely a lot of food. I made it through the chicken, steak, the potatoes, and a little bit of rice and beans, and I was stuffed. I took the rest home for later, and it all reheated very well. The sausage was delicious, especially the blood sausage. Yes, it's an acquired taste but I absolutely love blood sausage. The flavor is deep and rich. For all that I got, especially since it was two meals, the price was very reasonable. I would stop back by the next time. I'm on the island. Thank you!

Service was prompt and the menus are literal ipad with option to translate to Spanish as well which is very cool. 10/10 - Truly the best Colombian food around!…read more Sabor de Mi Tierra is absolutely top notch. We've been coming here since the pandemic -- they opened just a week before lockdown, and we supported them with takeout back then. Once we were able to dine in, we've been coming back nonstop ever since. The food is incredible, hands down the best Colombian food in the area (and honestly much better than Noches -- less salty, more flavorful, and always consistent). Everything is on point whether you come for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. My go-to is the carne asada con arepa y queso, and my wife always gets the huevos rancheros. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The service is just as amazing as the food. Every single server is kind, welcoming, and so sweet. Our favorites are Liliana and Jennifer -- total sweethearts. The owner, Carlos, is wonderful too. Every time we walk in, we feel like family. If you're in the area, you have to stop by Sabor de Mi Tierra. Incredible food, incredible people -- highly recommend!

The atmosphere was welcoming and lively. I was greeted promptly by a friendly young lady at the front and she suggested that I try the beef empanadas. They only cost a few dollars so I went ahead and bought two. So as I walked to the car, which was conveniently parked in the lot behind the restaurant, I immediately unwrapped my empanada. At first, I thought it was going to be like other empanadas that I've tried which have a crispy shell however these empanadas are similar in a way, but are very different in texture. These empanadas are a bit softer on the outside and have a denser inside filling which include potatoes and beef and it was quite delicious. I thought I could eat both of them, but after one I was full. I will definitely be back to the restaurant since I'm always in that area and it's literally five minutes from where I live. I can't wait to try other items on their menu.

Went to Milina for Mother's Day brunch before our Mother's Day dinner. (Lot of eating going on on…read moreMother's Day!) We've been to Milina before but never reviewed them. Started out with coconut lemonade and a blood sausage appetizer that came with 2 mini arepas. It was our first time trying blood sausage and we were happy we did! Casing had a nice char and snap to it. Filling was well seasoned and delicious. Arepitas were light, crispy and had a very good sweet corn taste to them. Coconut lemonade was slightly tart which is how I like it and also had a sweet coconut finish to it. I would definitely order it again. For the entree we shared the Parradilla Milina Marinera which came with grilled steak, chicken, pork loin, shrimp and salted fried plantains. We added rice and beans. Grill taste on everything was terrific! Meats were tender and flavorful. Rice and beans were ok. They had free dessert for Mother's Day so my wife ordered chocolate cake which was delicious. It wasn't our first time at Milina and it definitely won't be our last. Servers were very attentive, courteous and accommodating.

The chicken empanada was also good. However, the CANASTICAS (3) DE TOSTONES RELLENOS appetizer was disappointing. It was $10 for three tiny cups, which was not what we expected. It wasn't worth the price, and we could barely taste any plantain. I accepted the conclusion. We also ordered a side of FRIED PLANTIANS (tostones). We received only three pieces, and they were extremely thin--so thin they could bend like taco shells. They were not the traditional thick, crispy tostones we expected. My husband's BANDEJA PAISA was also disappointing. The chicharrón was thin, hard, and difficult to chew. The steak was thin but good. The beans- good. Sausage-ok. A lot of rice on the plate. Then the receipt came with an automatic 18% gratuity. We don't recall seeing this noted on the menu, although it may have been listed somewhere. We were only a party of two, so we were surprised to see an automatic gratuity added. Be sure to check your bill carefully so you don't accidentally leave an extra tip. Overall, the food and value did not meet our expectations. It's simply not for us, though it may match other people's expectations, and that's okay.

Don't you love it when you pay reasonable prices for meals that can last you two days? Because I…read moresure do! This is my second time at the Noches De Colombia in Woodbridge. We came as walk-ins on a Saturday night and were able to get a table for two right away. They offer your traditional Colombian cuisine along with a full bar and bakery. The digital menus provide descriptions in English and have photos of every item, so don't worry if you can't speak Spanish. The atmosphere is incredibly lively, so it's perfect for celebrations. They have a DJ that pumps out some great Latin tunes! You can tell everyone (including the servers) are having a great time. Definitely not the place for an intimate conversation, so come earlier if you want to avoid a lot of noise. We ordered... *Pechuga A La Colombiana $18.95 - My entrée was grilled chicken breast topped with creamy mushroom sauce and maduros (sweet plantains). It came with the option of two sides, so I chose tostones (fried plantains) and arroz blanco (white rice). First of all, the portion size was HUGE... enough to be split into two meals!!! The chicken was seasoned with cumin, scallions, onion, and more. The tenderness of the chicken and the richness of the sauce paired so well together. The tostones were deep fried to perfection with a crispy and salty exterior. The white rice was fluffy and cooked with oil, salt, and garlic, which complemented the entire meal. *Bistec A Caballo $17.95 - A hearty dish! This was grilled steak topped with fried eggs, served in hogao (tomato and onion sauce). The steak was juicy, tender, and well marinated in a blend of spices. The hogao sauce was tangy, savory, and rich. We also got a side of frijoles (beans), which were really good. *Frozen Mango Margarita ~$15 - The drink was sweet and refreshing as expected, but the tequila was weak. It could've used another shot.... Or two. Noches has won me over with their great prices and generous portion sizes! It's now my go-to spot when I'm craving a satisfying Colombian meal.
