Since 2007 I have had bypass surgery, A-Fib, and congestive heart failure. Dr Dobrin has been with me through it all and I credit him with giving me a good life. Although I will never be "cured" this side of heaven, I am able to enjoy a relatively active and enjoyable life. I probably should have been pushing up daisies by now but Dr Dobrin refuses to let that happen. He is more than my cardiologist- he is my friend and I thank God for him.

By the time I walked out of my first visit, I had no doubt this was the man I wanted doing my implant. One thing I noticed that really made an impression on me was the way he charted out his path when drawing me a picture to help me see the issues, and work to be performed. It was a little thing, but I saw it as an insight to the way he visualizes his work. As he drew the picture (upside down, as it was facing me), he would plot a small point where he wanted to finish every time he drew a line, no matter how small or meaningful that line was in his explanation. As I watched, and listened - it was like I could see what he was seeing as he placed the three wires for my implant carefully, and precisely on my heart. His passion for his profession, patients, staff, location, and ensuring that no patient is confused about what is going on is unrivaled. I asked him if I could adopt him as my GP also, but he declined saying 'he made a choice between being very good at a lot of things, or great at one thing' .... And one male scheduler I spoke to was very rude. When I asked if he could fax the orders to the hospital he told me if he did it would cause the surgery to be cancelled. But then he called me back and told me he had confirmation that the orders had been faxed. When I asked at the registration desk they told me they had just received them. I'm very disappointed.

My husband was in the ER, and the ER doctor contacted Dr. Benedetti to update her on his condition and to ensure that he would be seen by her. I also called her office myself to request an urgent appointment. The staff told me they would call me back after speaking with the doctor, but I never received a call. I followed up the next day and was told the same thing--again, no response. Given the seriousness of my husband's condition and the lack of follow-through, I had no choice but to find another cardiologist. That doctor immediately took action, called an ambulance, and admitted my husband to the hospital. Unfortunately, this wasn't my first disappointing experience with Dr. Benedetti. I was also a patient of hers in the past and eventually left due to similar concerns. I don't feel that she takes proper care of her patients, and I would not recommend her based on our experiences.

The receptionist was rude, without a care, assuming Mother was their for a different treatment, very unpleasant encounter. 2hrs later we finally had another employee from what I can only guess she was the Office Manager asking for a list of mothers medications; not a "good afternoon", no how are you? No empathy was so ever! Another 1hr, mother was finally invited to see the Dr. as I stood up I was told with a stern voice, you cannot come in, only the patient due to the pandemic, which I am in total agreement but even the simple act of communicating to me and or placing me on the speaker phone while the Dr. spoke with mother would have been suffice, yet this gentlemen never returned to let know otherwise. At this point I received a call from mom, nearly brought to tears because no staff much less the Dr. had checked up on her in the hour she was in the cubicle to comfort her and let her know the Dr. would be in shortly. Office finally closed thus decided to go to the receptionist to inquire what and why has the Dr. not seen my mother, informing her we had been here 3 1/2 hrs and no update what so ever. As I sit here, the Office Manager came out and requested to speak with me to inform me another ultrasound is needed and to inform me of the reason why mother was over passed. I understand the dilemma our medical staff throughout the country is experiencing, but that's not an excuse to treat your patients and their family members in an unprofessional manner, communication from the OM and her staff would avoided today's overall negative visit.
