I was a coliseum hater until yesterday when I went to the Texas Country music festival. I didn't realize the facility is 75 years old. I thought about all the times I have been there through my life. My early memories were of the ice capades, the circus and the rodeo. My adult memories were taking my kids to the above and the concerts and I have to say acoustically the faculty is good. I don't remember a time when I said I couldn't hear well. Or sound quality was bad. As I have had with other El Paso Venues, Now I must warn you WATCH YOUR STEP the stair design is beyond unsafe. The stairs are different lengths and sizes. So know where your friends are! Look down! This is my star reduction here. Now the seats are not really uncomfortable for those who are a little wider like me. But if you are tall you are knocking knees against the seat in front of you. I highly recommend row F on upper deck as this is a walkway and you have plenty of leg room or aisle seat for those taller than 5'2. And if you can go for floor seats or section 32 on the wall. Why I am no longer a hater? I just decided to be grateful for what we have. And I asked myself do I want to appreciate what we have with current facility and keep ticket prices low or have a new facility with higher ticket prices. I truly have not paid more than 30.00 for most events.

We brought my wife, our two small dogs, and our 11-month-old baby, and the entire visit exceeded expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly, polite, and courteous from the moment we arrived. The facilities were very clean and well-maintained, which made the experience even more enjoyable. One thing that really stood out was the nursing room with A/C -- it was perfect for when our baby started getting too warm. Snack prices were reasonable, and there were tons of great options to choose from. The water park area was also a huge hit and a great way to cool down, especially during the warmer weather. Overall, we had a fantastic family-friendly experience and highly recommend attending, especially for Bark at the Park. We'll definitely be back!

They don't allow items inside the stadium, so check what you can bring on their website before you go Parking is available, but we parked at UTEP and took the EP Streetcar in. We got our tickets online, but you could get them at the box office. Look for discounted tickets! There are plenty of free gifts and theme nights. We enjoyed the fireworks! They have plenty of food inside. From hot dogs, nachos, frutas locas, kettle corn and vendors like noodles, pizza, etc. Plenty of beers. The stadium is kid friendly, and there is Chico way...out in the outfield with a splash pad and the lawn. Authentic Chihui gear is available here...it isn't cheap, but it's available to support your team. It was fun, and we will be back plenty of times this season to support our Chihuahuas.

TheDuke Blue Devils vanquished the Sun Devils of Arizona State 42-39. We entered the stadium via the Glory Road. Despite parking being an "adventure" for us after arriving after the start of the event, we found the walk to the entrance no so crowded or too busy. Finding our section and row was easy and the steps were not to dah ring for my 70yo mom to trudge up, then down. Since a group of us got tickets for this event, we were surrounded by a group of folks from Fort Bliss. It was a place to be social and enjoy the main event, surrounded by the wonderful people of El Paso and plenty of UTEP Miners that regularly call the Sun Bowl home. There are plenty of vendors underneath the stands, but it makes navigating the pathways. The innards of the bowl are well marked, so finding your section is easy. Once you get there, the seats are unblocked and access to the stadium today was awesome. On the rare chance that it does rain in El Paso, the bowl is uncovered...so come prepared. Similarly, since it's out in the open, the true threat is the glaring sun...sun block or shade is useful, if not necessary. All in all, we had a Grrrrrr-eat time at the Sun Bowl. Congrats to the Blue Devils.

My sister has been there before for football games , but has never gone there before for a major concert . I think if it wasn't for the scorching heat, it would have been a much more pleasant experience. Overall, though, it was hard to tell whether the city of El Paso was ready to handle the mega stardom of Coldplay, and the crazy crowds brought by Coldplay's presence in town! We attended the second concert in El Paso, which was exactly 2 weeks ago today on Sat (6/14). The lines could have been somewhat better organized because it wasn't completely clear which line was for what. Like so many others, our friend had already purchased our tickets through a legitimate and validated ticket vendor like StubHub. But even so, my sister decided to go to the very front of the many lines to inquire exactly where we were supposed to enter from. Once we found out we didn't have to stand in line for that long, we made our way to the front, got our ice cream sandwiches , refreshing cucumber drinks, and other drinks before we made our way into the stadium and to our seats. There were plenty of food and snack options. But the challenging part was getting through the throngs of crowds in the sweltering heat without fainting or passing out. We had heard that someone had fainted and passed out at the Fri (6/13) concert. So we were very careful and tried to stay as well-hydrated as we could in hopes that wouldn't happen to any of us ! The restrooms were not the greatest, but they were decent for their purpose. Once the opening acts finished, and Coldplay finally started performing, it was such an amazing spectacle at Sun Bowl Stadium :D ! The excitement of the crowd and the magic of Coldplay filled the stadium :D ! It was in every sense "A Sky Full of Stars " :) ! Unfortunately, just like any other stadium , it was a zoo to get out! And because it seemed like Old Glory Road was the main way to exit, it took us at least 2 hours just to move 6 miles! Unless UTEP Sun Bowl can improve the traffic and crowd flow in the future, I'm not sure if we would return for a concert. But despite the challenges with getting in and out of a stadium, watching Coldplay for their "Music of the Spheres" tour was absolutely mesmerizing and captivating :D ! And truly an awesome experience we will always treasure and never forget :) !

I really liked how it was so easy to find and park at the adjacent parking structure. Parking was $20 for this event. My sister had told me about this venue before because she watched the Trans-Siberian Orchestra here a few years ago and loved it :D ! I forgot to check online regarding their bag policy. So it wasn't until I got up there near the entrance that an employee informed me that my Kipling crossbody bag was too big and pointed out their clear bag policy. So I had to leave my crossbody bag in my car, and just carry my wallet with my driver's license, some credit cards and cash. I'll remember to bring my clear bags the next time I come here. Customer service was excellent :D ! All the employees checking us through security were really courteous and friendly :) ! And even the vendors selling food and snacks inside were really courteous and friendly :) ! I just bought a hot dog once I got in, and also a fruit arrangement with tajin and lemon juice :) ! The kettle corn line was super long! But I could see why! The kettle corn itself was so hot and fresh :D ! Carrie Underwood sang and performed so amazingly and beautifully with her stellar powerhouse vocals :D !! I have followed her ever since her humble beginnings and early days on American Idol and she was phenomenal :D!! I still have her original debut album "Some Hearts" all the way back from 2005 on CD :D ! I felt like all of El Paso came together just to see her perform for that one night only :) ! LOL :D ! I would definitely come here again to watch concerts or sports games :) ! It's a very spirited and energized entertainment and sports venue in the heart of El Paso :D !

There was so great food trucks and jack daniels was their giving out swag and serving up yummy jack and cokes. The VIPS had a special area with special catered food that looked super yummy. Now the VIPS also had cool seating in the coliseum and a super short drink line. I think it would be fun to be a VIP. It was awesome to hear Tracy Byrd remembering the yesteryears and he was hilarious and engaging. Can't wait for next year's line-up and please bring in more oldies but goodies.

My husband was more familiar with Tracy Lawrence though, so he especially enjoyed that more. Loved how generally close all the seats are, even in the farthest section. The seats were pretty bunch up together tho so my husband who's almost 6 feet tall almost didnt have enough leg room. Wish we had attended the pre-party session as that may have contributed more to the whole idea of a festival. I was hoping the main event that started at 730 would still have more vendors and activities going on but it was only the performers. Which was still fun though. Loved the food trucks they had going on too. I for got which one it was but it was the last one on line. They had a seafood soup that you can add tortilla chips or crackers to and it was amaze balls! Just what i needed this chilly night. Of course, the coliseum had their own typical stadium food which most was reasonably priced, especially for stadium food. Pretzels with cheese dip and nachos with jalapenos were awesome! Wine coolers were good too but too fizzy. All in all, great night and great employees who were very helpful to find your seats and what not. Thank you Yelp!!
