We stopped at El Pollo Loco for a fast lunch. I am not a fan of burgers so this was a better choice for fast food. We've been to other locations and this one was just as nice and as efficient. We chose the 2 piece chicken. I had sides of salad and pinto beans and my husband had mashed and corn. The chicken is always hot and juicy with a good flavor. I'm not sure why we don't stop here more often. Service is always top notch. The food is good, fresh off the grill and at a decent price. For fast food, it is surprisingly healthy too. Food not served as in previous years :( Pollo bowl for almost $12 and hardly any chicken! Pollo bowl is mostly filled with the cheaper foods, rice, beans, cabbage and a lot of corn! I ordered the new habanero double chicken tostado bowl. We went through the drive through and service was quick and friendly. The fried tortilla was very tasty, crisp, light, and cooked to perfection. The chicken seemed to be grilled chicken tossed in habanero sauce and put on top of the salad mix in the bowl. The sauce is sweet and very spicy , and not in a good way. It had too much sauce which made the salad greens all wet, soggy, and limp. Mind you, I started eating it in the car as soon we left the drive through and the salad greens were limp and soggy with sauce after a few minutes. The bowl has beans and rice in it but not very much. All in all this was not a hit for me. read more

This place has gone downhill !!! Tostada salads used to be great. Not no more. Not worth ¼ of a star. They cut salad in half and the dressing that comes with it has become so watery you can say it is with a dash of flavor without the flavor. Its terrible. I used to love this salad but not anymore! Last time here! Had the 3 piece meal and it's got to be the worst chicken I have ever eaten! The chicken was over cooked and very chewy! The wing had feathers on it! How gross is that? The beans were spoiled as they tasted rancid! The only thing decent to eat was the Cole slaw! They also forgot to give me my salsas! Very good food. Went to the one on south Virginia by plumb lane. The food was good but the restaurant was dirty. No tables were clean. We had to bus our own table , the floor had spilt food everywhere. There were no napkins in the holders. The sad thing was there was about 8 employees working behind the counter but no one stepped out to clean or bus the tables while we were there eating. read more

My wife and I have always enjoyed the Pollo Loco grilled chicken meals. Today, 02/29/2020, we stopped in for dinner at the El Centro location and between the two of us, ordered three side salads. The cashier charged us for three citrus vinaigrette dressings. When he gave me the receipt I pointed out the charges and he said yes, they charge for the dressing. I said no, we eat here all the time and they 've never charged us for salad dressing and told him to get the manager. Yesi, the Pollo Loco Manager, came out and said that I was correct, there is no charge for the salad dressing. She promptly refunded our money. Yesi, thank you and please advise this person that there is no charge for salad dressing when customers order a salad, no matter their age or ethnicity. read more

First of all, I love chicken, so be it that I was in this small town I had to find something exciting to experience. Walked in to a flame grill boasting at least 20 split chickens being roasted to perfection and I was instantly hooked. To say it is a "fast food" establishment the place was very clean and the service was fast and friendly. Order dark meat chicken and a few street tacos. The flavor of the chicken was spot on AND my wife opted for the salad and it was full of flavor as well. Left this place satisfied and completely impressed. Whenever I am back in El Centro (if ever) this will defiantly be my lunch choice. read more

Good food. Good staff. I often come here for their combo menu and they sometimes have discounts and coupons. I love their servings since they have healthy options like shrimp and chicken salads. Their quesadilla is good and scrumptious and their chicken is nice and tenderly grilled. read more

Like the other review recently posted, this is also the 3rd time theyve gotten my order wrong. Its always around 5pm on a Sunday when they screw it up. The manager should take a close look at their employees because this place has gone downhill in their customer service. Its a hassle to always keep returning just to get another wrong order. Great place. Usually order chicken bowl or overstuffed quesadilla. Most of the time food is delicious but sometimes happens that it's super salty and spicy that have to through it away. Since usually order drive through not very convenient to go back to ask for another one. I guess I depends on who is preparing the order. read more

Yes, it is a chain. But it is a very well run unit, good service, clean, modern and the food tastes good. It is always busy as it seem to be a lunch time favorite for many government workers from downtown and ICE employees. They almost always have coupons in the paper, on their own reciepits or just in the mail, so although it isn't as cheap as Taco Bell, it is still in the same price range, but the quality of food is several levels higher. read more
