I also feel like not enough people leave reviews when they have a great experience, so let me just be the first to say that we stopped by Habit El Centro today and Tony was quite possibly the nicest, friendliest fast food employee or manager I have ever encountered!! Our family hadn't been to this location before and thought we'd stop on our drive back to Yuma from San Diego, and Tony should very well be promoted! Perfect spot to grab lunch while charging our electric car next door. Order using a kiosk, which was very straight forward. We ordered 2 double char burgers & 1 single. Meals came with plenty of fries... none of us finished the fries, even though they were nicely fried..just a lot of them. Also ordered the tempura green beans - delicious!! There are a wide variety of sauces including avocado ranch, spicy ranch, etc. Best of all is a pepper bar... Peppercinos, hot yellow peppers & jalapeños. Grandson had a cookies & cream milkshake that he said was really good. We were there around noon, so a little wait for the food, but not bad. The management is very rude at this establishment. I placed an order for food and because I added an extra fry they made me wait 15 to 20 minutes in the front while they helped a bunch of other customers who arrived well after me and they proceeded to tell me the weight was because my food was being made fresh fresh when I received my food. Everything was cold and I paid $44 when I went back to return everything the manager made a big deal about me leaving the drinks at my hotel so I offered to go back to the hotel to bring her the drinks so she would then give me a full refund. Every year I will come back to my hometown and will order habit since it is one favorite chain. However this branch is being going downhill! The employees doesn't seems to care, just show up to get paid. We arrived at this place for curbside and there were no curbside sign (just a carry out sign).. We waited for about 20 mins for a curbside orders that I already got the text the order was ready... a car park next to us got their order so I talk to the guy ( seems like the leader on duty) to make sure we are in the correct spot. He said it was the spot for curbside and left. He didn't even bother to ask us how long we have been waiting or do we have an order. So after a few minutes, I decided to check the order so I went in. My order was placed in the mobile/online order shelves. So I went up to the same guy "leader on duty" and gave him the feedback! The ticket was obviously a curbside order, why would it go for a online pick up order??! He told me that the ticket says that it was online .. I was like seriously, we waited about 20 mins, food was cold and soggy. Salad was not even fresh. I give up... I figured the ole drive-thru method was not the way to go for my salads and that ordering it in person, at the counter, would yield better results. Boy... So.... I was well chuffed to pull off of the freeway in El Centro and have above average choices for my meal needs. The Habit usually isn't a drive thru and it's cool that it was next to a Panera and a Korean eatery (ramen on the way!) ... So I pulled over to finish an important convo... wolves and their covert operations to own property and hen houses... ya know... business stuff Parked, I ordered from their app and at the time given to pick up, I rolled up to the drive thru. Everything was pretty easy. The Ahi Sammy was maybe a bit too watery from sauce but it was yummy. Fries were great. Tempura green beans were also good. I can see myself coming here once i go back to Keto. You can lettuce wrap here! The staff were great. However... they did not give the dressing for my salad and they neglected to include the bottle of water I ordered. So two stars off. It wasn't busy at all. This place is run terribly. Out of the last 5x we've gone there is ALWAYS something wrong with our order. (Fries missing, burgers wrong). Today was no different, 3x they got my order wrong and had to redo it. Also the entire restaurant is engulfed in smoke from the grill. I hate to be a Karen but it pisses me off when I live in Imperial and I get home to find my order WRONG time after time. It's unfair to expect that your customers check EVERY detail of their meal before leaving the drive thru and for it to continuously be wrong. Having to walk inside to have it be corrected while the rest of the meal is getting soggy and cold. Management here needs to figure out where the disconnect is. Is the cashier taking the order wrong? Ordered and received food via drive through window on 01/09/2024. I ordered a burger, fries, & Cobb salad. My husband said the burger and fries were very good. My Cobb salad was anything but. The picture and description on the menu state it has grilled chicken, mixed salad greens, boiled egg, cheese, & bacon bits. The lettuce was thinly shredded ice berg, there was no boiled egg, and only a scant amount of bacon bits. I've had this salad before and it's always been good, but they missed the mark on this visit and also a visit 3 months ago ( cheese and sauce on burgers when asked for no cheese or sauce, fries were soggy. Had to return that entire order and have them remake it) . I called the Resturant 01/09/2024 to attempt to speak with someone to let them know how poorly this salad was made but calls go to corporate office and it's impossible to speak with anyone on site. Recording asks that customers communicate via email and they will respond . It's been 3 business days and haven't heard from them yet. If you visit Habit look at your order before you leave the premises or drive away because chances are it won't be as expected. read more

One of our favorite places to stop for lunch when traveling by El Centro. Kinda hard to get to it coming off the freeway but worth the effort. We live in Carlsbad ( North San Diego coast) and have a wide selection of burger places to choose from. So we know a thing or two about restaurants and fast food places. But even the popular "In and Out" gets old after awhile. Habit has a perfectly balanced menu that they are able to serve with consistency. Food is always awesome. Fresh everytime I've gone. First time I had a burger and their tempura green beans (which I loved both). Second time I had their BBQ chicken salad was good too. Always a great experience when I come here to eat. I was very impressed with my last visit. I tried their new spicy chicken sandwich and it was very delicious. I couldn't finish it and the pic is what I left to take home. The staff was very friendly and nice, even the GM was very polite and friendly as she walked up to my table to see how everything was going so far. She made me feel very welcomed and comfortable as I ate. Food was excellent, service was excellent, restaurant was very clean, definitely a great experience every time. I visit the Habit regularly on my lunch breaks and they are always so friendly and the food is always delicious. My usual order is a Char burger with bacon and avocado with fries and this place never disappoints. I rarely eat inside the restaurant for since im on my lunch break i normally go through the drive thru and the employees are always very polite and fast with my order. Never had i had a bad experience with them and therefore will continue to visit this establishment on my lunch break for they have great quality, a variety of options and excellent service. read more

If you love Habit Burger (who doesn't) avoid this one. It is clean and the staff is very nice, but I have never gotten a to go order correct. I'm smarter now and don't get on the highway until my order is fully inspected for accuracy. Today they messed the food order up twice and made the redo inedible as it was flooded with ketchup leaving me a disaster in my lap. After two attempts at my meal I realize I never got a straw in either bag plus was expected to eat my original fries that were almost ten minutes old and cold. I really wanted to like this place, but probably won't be back. I ate here before COVID, and was grateful to find a great, above average burger in the area. I returned this week, and it was the exact opposite. I got take out and waited at an outside table for my order. I ate in my car, as I was doing some other errands. The paper the burger was supposed to be wrapped in was sorta folded over, and the burger was sorta just sitting on top of it. No big deal. When I was eating, there were some tiny hard bits I kept biting down on. Tried to spit them out. Then, I bit down on something and nearly went through the roof of my car with pain. I cracked a molar on a piece of bone. It still hurt two days later, but I think I can avoid the dentist. Whether it's a drop in quality or a supply chain issue, I don't know. I can't eat there again. I went through the drive-thru of Habit Burger in El Centro. I ordered more than $50 worth of food to take home to my family. When we got home, two of the items were way less than acceptable. The Santa Barbara salad had no bacon, eggs or avocado. There was also hardly any meat or any other types of salad vegetables. The Tri-Tip Sandwich was made on sourdough because they were out of cibata. I did not think that would be a problem. But when I looked inside the sandwich, one half only had 2 small peices of meat and the other half had just 1 piece of meat. We drove back to the site to either exchange the bad food for good food, or to get a refund. When we got there, the store had closed earlier than it's posted time. However, many people were inside cleaning up. I tapped on the window to get someone's attention and up to 5-6 people just ignored that I was even there. I had the bad food in one hand and my receipt in the other pressed against the window so they could see that I had just gone through the drive-thru and had a problem with my order. Nobody came to help. One guy in the kitchen gestured to another worker that they should at least come and talk to me, but the manager kept waving everyone off and waving her hand at her neck to symbolize that they were closed. I've never been so disrespected over what should have been a very small issue and one that could have been resolved in just a few minutes.
