After going through some TripAdvisor recommendations I found this little gem. It can take a while to get served here and I always felt the waiting staff were eager to get away again even if you hadn't actually finished your order yet, however I have also found if you put the charm offensive on them and smile at them a lot they will eventually thaw. Kill them with kindness I always say. Plus, what's the rush guys, you're on holiday, bloody relax!
I sampled beautiful Rioja in this place, the food was of very high standard, my highlight being the biggest freshest mussels I had seen in a while and their gin concoctions come in massive goblets with generous amounts of gin and quality tonic mixers. I ended up visiting Tasca la Raspa three times during my stay. Dinner starts at around 8pm but ensure you arrive a bit earlier, maybe for an aperitif, as the place will fill up fairly quickly.
