There can be a bit of a language barrier with some employees, but at least they are polite. I have ordered delivery from this place several times and the food is always late. Three times they promised to be there in half an hour and each time they arrived in an hour and 20 minutes. I decided to dine in for the first time to avoid this mess. It's wonderful that they have outdoor seating during this pandemic. It's not the cutest, but it serves its purpose and has lights so you can see when you are eating. Unfortunately, it comes with obnoxiously loud music sometimes. Employees wore masks properly at all times. We got our food much quicker though. We ordered their pollo frito, moro, and goat stew. Their pollo frito is exactly how I like it- very crispy and on the saltier side. I think their moro is really good, very flavorful. The goat stew is okay. We order our rice in separate containers so they can fit more food and when we do this it is worth the money. In the past, I've ordered their yuca frita. The yuca frita was absolutely perfect the first time we ordered, but the last two times we ordered, it was too dry /and too brown- absolutely inedible. At $5 a pop, we can't afford to risk ordering it again though. We will be back to dine in because it's average Dominican food that is affordable to eat regularly and the employees have never been rude. I do wish they had healthier options though. read more

I have only gotten delivery at this place at work and I have only had good experiences. I'm reading through other's comments and it seems to be the exact opposite of what I have experienced. I'm not too sure if it is because I order with my coworkers so they get about 6 orders from us every time. Usually we get the lady who can speak english on the phone and our orders are never wrong. Again, it might be because I get multiple large orders with them. Delivery takes the usual 40 minutes and the food is still hot and tasty. All the orders I have tried were bomb. I tried the Chicken Soup, empanadas, fried cheese, Cubano, and plantains. My coworkers got other stuff as well and we all loved it. The chicken soup is perfect when you are sick at home and it even has real chicken pieces in it!! I LOVED the empanadas. Then again, I am not Dominican so I am not too sure if the food here is as authentic as I think. But the food definitely fill you up with a very reasonable price. Similar to another user, I experienced some truly awful customer service. My boyfriend and have I ordered from this place via GrubHub a few times without many problems. Every so often they didn't have what we ordered, but that's not a problem. I recently noticed the GrubHub menu wasn't fully updated so I ordered delivery over the phone, and used their printed menu as a guide. An hour and change later, we received the delivery (cold chicken and hot, overcooked pulpo salad). I realized we were overcharged for our order by $6.50. I called back expecting this was a simple error. No such luck! After talking in circles and being placed on hold, the person on the phone said my menu (which was given to me a few days prior) was wrong, and that the also charge a tax for paying for the credit card. I asked her what the tax was, because it clearly wasn't standard sales tax. This "tax" we paid was 30% of the subtotal and obviously arbitrary. I told the woman on the phone I'm going to dispute the charge with my financial institution, to which she responded "we're going to have to take the food back." Unbelievable! I told her that I was going to dispute the amount we were overcharged and that they lost a regular customer. There are many fantastic Latin-American restaurants in Brooklyn. I ordered the chicken and it was so dry, hot sauce couldn't even save it. I asked for sauce on the rice and got a tablespoon of sauce, so the rice was dry. I ordered sweet plantains and they used in ripe plantains, so those were dry. I decided to try their pernil. I'm a pernil aficionado and am known for my tasty pernils. The pernil was so dry, it was inedible. I've never had such dry pork. It's gross. Again, dry rice and dry plantains. If you have a problem with producing too much saliva, this extremely dry food is for you. However when the food came she refused to put rice with the meat and charge my girlfriend $9 for the meat and some plantains. When we approached them on it they got loud and disrespectful and wanted to throw out the meat that they gave us.
