Best tacos in Nicholasville, hands down. Sometimes the service is a little slow as they do a lot of carry out and have a small kitchen. But the staff is always super friendly and the food is always so good. I've taken to getting two Al pastor and two chorizo tacos as my "thing" if I want to get out of the house for lunch some days. On occasion, they have this ABSOLUTELY STELLAR Pozole soup with the same style as the Pozole in Mexico City. My daughter is also a huge fan of their Horchata. read more

I originally found out about this place through the Xooker app where they are offering a $20-value certificate for $12. I thought I would give it a try because I love Mexican Street food and boy am I glad I did - it is amazing!! 5-star taqueria all around! What really stands out to me is the excellent salsa - they have little bottles of a hot green, a mild green and a very flavorful medium-spiced red salsa. Ask for all 3. Excellent. Service was great, too. My husband and i ordered 5 tacos to share and the Pozole soup to share. The bowl of pozole was larger than it looked and filled with meat and hominy. Very delicious. I would definitely order this again. I had a slight bit of a headache when I got there, and this soup was an instant cure! Parking is Easy out front and they have plenty of seating in the restaurant. I normally don't write a review without trying a place at least twice. There won't be a second time for this place. Tried the steak, pork and chicken street tacos. All the meat was dry and not very flavorful. It took an extended amount of time to receive our order. My wife thought the chicken quesadilla was not that good. Found them through Yelp while in Nicholasville for an afternoon. We were very happy with our food. My husband got the birria burrito, and I had street tacos, along with rice and beans. Everything was fresh and tasty. I'd be remiss if I didn't specifically call out the beans. My husband really liked them a lot and, in fact, I placed an order for beans to go. This place is very authentic with true Mexican food. The service was great and the food was even better. From the several Authentic bottled beer and drinks to the amazing artwork all over the restaurant. The artwork is very creative and brings a smile to everyone's face. The music that plays in the background is absolutely enjoyable. The food was colorful and strategically placed for the eyes to prepare the mouth for the greatness that was coming it's way. They have really good rolled tacos! And they're carne asada tacos are good too. Love this place for a quick and healthy meal.

My husband loves Mexican food, but we rarely eat it because he married a woman who is allergic to tomatoes and peppers. Despite that ridiculous limitation, I was able to find a few menu options and the staff were willing to make food to order. It was so good!!! I don't think my husband stopped for air while munching down his nachos. My older daughter enjoyed a couple of tacos and my younger daughter enjoyed a quesadilla. I had a chicken torta. Great little Mexican joint with authentic and awesome food. Huge selection of Jarrittos and Mexican Coke and a unique selection of ice cream flavors. Since my wife and I just moved to the area we decided to give local businesses a try. Might as well right, since you live local, support local. We walked in and thought, Wow!! This is very nice place for a hole in the wall restaurant. I ordered the Lengua Street Tacos and my wife ordered a Steak Burrito. The one guy working there was friendly, very helpful and we had gotten our food very quickly. After our first bite we knew right away that we would be visiting here more often. After moving From Morehead Kentucky, we didn't look for a good Mexican Restaurant to eat at. Sure you have others like Tres Hermanos and such out that way but we weren't sure what was good this way. After trying El Rancho Taqueria, I tell you the only thing that was missing was The Horchata which is what they didn't have. However the guy reassured me the only reason that they didn't was because someone ordered a large gallon of it. If you don't Know what Horchata is, Google it and see if it's something that you would like. It's a drink for starters and it's very delicious. Can't wait to go back. So ive been driving by this place on the way home all the time and decided to stop and give it a try and man im goad i did. I got this huge burrito from there of which i have left overs because it was that big, and i tried a chicken street taco and both were amazing! This place is absolutely the best Mexican I've ever had. It is authentic Mexican served up by some of the friendliest workers at any restaurant I've ever been. They always have a smile on your face and are happy to assist you. I have not ordered anything that's been bad. Our favorite are the street tacos and the tortas. They have been great during the coronavirus with us coming to pick up. I'm glad to see they've been so busy we need more places like this in Nicholasville. read more
