    Dancing robot
    Aria H.

Went in around 9pm on a Friday night and it was PACKED. We were sat within minutes and the server was nice. But overall not impressed. The sound levels are insane for a restaurant but other people seemed to be having a great time--even with the dancing robot that required all the lights be turned out for everyone to see. Felt unnecessary and unsafe given the many children and servers running around. Probably a great space for large groups since tables say 10-12 people, but the food was unremarkable. The menu was HUGE but nothing I ordered was memorable. Probably won't return.

Queso was really good. Chips were really good but could've used some salt and pepper. Salsa was really good but could have also used some salt and pepper. No Tabasco or salt or pepper was present at the tables. Fun environment with the robot, lights and the murals. Guacamole had feta cheese on top of it, which was delicious. The sour cream was also really good. Steak fajitas were cut perfectly and grilled to perfection. Service was sub par- lacked attentiveness. Robot and lights were fun.

One of the reasons our food came out after two hours. They are more focused on the shows than on the food.

Terrible service and poor organization, not recommended for a party, maybe suitable for 2 or 3 people, perhaps they'll treat you well then. We arrived and the food wasn't served until two hours later, and a friend asked for a recommendation and they gave him a dish meant for 3-4 people without telling him how many people it was for, even though he was asking for advice. The food is delicious, but they're more focused on birthdays and dancing than on the food and customer service.

Hawaiian Fajitas... a mix of shrimp, steak, and chicken covered in cheese

How was I unaware of this gem of a restaurant?! Apparently, I am just finding out what Lexingtonians have known for some time. This place from the aesthetic to the service to the food was a 5 star experience we will not soon forget. My wife and I started with the fried shrimp and calamari app that came with 3 dipping sauces that all complimented the seafood well. The taste was amazing, the temperature of the food might have been the hottest I've ever received... literally from the fryer to the table. I cannot recommend this app enough. Their salsa was also fantastic, but a bit spicer than most other Mexican restaurants in town. We both ordered fajitas and that was a chore to decide because they have so many options! I should have my prefaced my review with the fact their menu is extensive. Lots of options, but thankfully El Asadero also includes lots of pictures and vivid descriptions. My Hawaiian fajitas were amazing... a mix of steak, shrimp, chicken, ham, peppers and pineapple covered in gooey melty cheese. The leftovers were just as tasty if not better. The drink menu is extensive, so many colorful creations to try of all varieties. They remind me of the Sugar Factory in their creativity. If after all this you have room for dessert, the flan was some of the best my wife and I have ever had. The service was phenomenal, the speed of the operation was unbelievable without feeling rushed, and the decor was fun and tasteful inside and out. This place is definitely in our rotation now and will be for the foreseeable future.

Read about this restaurant a few months ago in Lexington and said the next time I was there, I need to stop by. And I'm glad I did. The food was wonderful. The drinks were amazing and it had a really cool Mexican vibe all the way around. Lotta folks were there celebrating birthdays or other events and staff really added to the experience. around 6 and 8 every day they had a cool show with costume performers and great music. Everybody seemed to enjoy it. Lotta folks were there for birthdays, which was amazing by itself. Gotta see it. The drink specials were good. I enjoyed the margarita bar sampler, and some beers. the drinks are a little bit expensive, but they were definitely worth it. Definitely gonna go back next time I'm in Lexington and if you get a chance to stop off Nicholasville Road, give it a try -It was really good. FYI ladies night Thursday w 50% off drinks.

Both of the tacos we got were good but could've definitely gotten the same for cheaper. Service was friendly and they had a costume show (?) mostly for the kids and a shot flight for the adults. Fun environment but more for special occasions and entertainment than food.

Top Shelf Margarita! I love the garnish and the gummies on a stick are a nice touch!

Very interesting! It's a high budget chain with a hook and I like it. The food was good and the service was unremarkable and the ambiance and atmosphere with the dancing characters was different and fun and slightly annoying at the same time. I will go back sometime but no huge rush. Solid choice for high end/expensive Mexican food with a show. I believe the characters come out at 7 and 9 o'clock.

I mentioned the Westmalle Dubbel didn't taste like itself-- normally there's plenty detectable sweetness, caramel, toffee notes but that it tasted bitter and with lots of cinnamon. He said that was the way it was supposed to be to his co-worker that brought this to his attention. His co-worker tags off the shift so I mention it again to him. He said it was hooked to the correct keg, so perhaps the keg was "bad, and Beer is Beer." Well thanks, Nick, for the enlightenment: Beer is beer. They're all the same. Wine is wine, too, I suppose. Nick didn't offer to exchange my 4-oz pour or make any adjustment. I received his message loud and clear: "The beer is bad and/or all the same so shut up and live with it." No other communication was made. What else was there to say? I got it. He didn't care. The tip line on the charge ticket struck me as ironic. I wanted to send the a ticket back across the bar with a charge for suffering him. Can I suggest that Nick be moved to the night shift, canned good section where generalizations he relies on hold true? Beanie weenies may be beanie weenies. More importantly, can he be sent to a place where he isn't customer-facing and does more damage to Whole Foods company? The last thing I wanted was to drink beer from a bad keg (I mean, if you know it's bad, replace it and send back to distributor?!) and to be faced with a pompous personality that doesn't take any interest in the experience of the guests. Does a company like Whole Foods do any training in customer service? I suspect they do but Nick needs a repeat. Yes, I'm in the spirit-hospitality industry. I've sold Westmalle Trappist beer in all its forms. I know what it should taste like. Something wasn't right with the keg of beer but worse is that this person didn't care. So tired of males that lord their ignorance and laziness over their domains at the expense of others and defame the whole ethos of hospitality. Other than Nick, and the awry Westmalle, the other beers were fresh and delicious. Atmosphere --beyond the attitude-- was good.

Yay for your beer selection! (Boo that you don't offer wine…read moreoptions like other WFs locations.) I really love the way I can try so many beers in a range of sizes. I'm not always up for 12 oz beer, so a quick 4 or 8 oz option is right up my alley. There are over 20 taps, too, and the bartenders have always been great about recommending a current selection based on my preferences.

But the food was so good! I had been there once before, shortly after opening, and thought it was so-so. But the 2nd visit was a much better experience. Since we had a large group, we sampled each other's dishes and everything was delicious. The burrata appetizer was really good. I had the "make me something sweet" mocktail and it was pretty and tasted refreshing. Our server was top notch and explained every dish on the menu, and gave us recommendations. He really took his time with us, and you could tell he was a pro. More excited to return after this second visit than after the first! 11/26

For our appetizer, we had the beef tartare, it was also just okay. We didn't even finish half of it. The star of the dish was the rye crisp, unfortunately. For our entree we had the baked rigatoni and the pork tenderloin. The pork tenderloin dish was delicious and so was the rigatoni. That was a plus. It was extremely loud in the restaurant. Be prepared to yell at your table partner. Between the amount of people talking loudly (I assume to attempt to talk over the loud music) and the music, and being seated really near other people, having a conversation was difficult. So don't go with anyone who is hard of hearing with background noise (my husband lol). Food took a little longer than what I'd prefer to come out. The restaurant itself had a great vibe and decorations were cute.

By the time I left at 6:30 it was packed with a wait of ~10 people. I sat at the bar and the bartender was attentive and friendly. The menu seems very diverse with a lot of delicious sounding options. The beer menu is on the back with a QR code. As it was Burger Week, I went with their Signature Burger for $7 with a side of tots. The burger was a Spicy Pimento Burger with bacon jam, pickles, and lettuce. The burger was 4oz which was a great size to fill you up but not make you overly full. The burger was not overly seasoned and didn't have a ton of flavor, however the combination of toppings really enhanced the flavor and made it delicious. The tots were perfectly crisp and the Cajun seasoning really enhanced them nicely. All 4 of the beers in the flight were tasty but not overly powerful. Of the 4, the Tart and Tempered was the best as a light sour. I would recommend a visit and look forward to trying some other menu items.
