Update. I came back to purchase roses. Within minutes of arriving an employee asked if I needed help. I described to him the color of rose I wanted. He was quickly able to locate one and told me all the roses are $32.99! Check out is in the green building through the yellow door. There are more plants in there too! I think they're tropical or houseplants. Super helpful employees. They even tied a garbage bag around my rose so it wouldn't make a mess in my car. I asked about trees with purple flowers and they were also quite helpful suggesting what I could be thinking of and told me if I get the name they can tell me if they have it in stock. I'm very pleased with my experience and will be back soon to add more to my garden. read more

#FIRSTTIMEGARDNER We stopped by on a Saturday to look for herbs and veggies for our garden. Needless to say there was some of everything and I was overwhelmed with options. We ran into Lisa, lovely lady and extremely knowledgeable. I showed her the raised beds we purchased and she showed us a multitude of options that would fit our raised beds. She even went so far as to show us where each option should go. Nowwwww if I got it all the way right when planting is another thing lol. Most of the herbs were $5.50. Really reasonable and with the military discount made it even more value to us. Yeah shopping at the big box stores is great but nothing like that one on one treatment from a small-ish business. I wish I could give more than five stars! this place is a dream. I'm not so great with plants but I know a few I can keep alive. After successfully keeping a friends African Lilly alive for over a year I went to get one of my own when she moved and took it back. They didnt have any, BUT I told the incredibly kind gentleman there what I was capable of (not much) and he said a philodendron selloum would be perfect. He pointed out this HUGE PLANT to me and I was terrified of the cost. ONLY $35!!!!! Mind you this is a beautiful plant and exactly what I needed for my shady patio. Anyway here I am about a week after and just re-potted him. (His name is now Phil) and he's thriving. An absolute beast! I also got a gorgeous little cactus . Anyway, COME HERE!!!!! We went for the first time today. We were greeted right away and the gentleman was very knowledgeable. He took time to answer all of my questions and show me around. The staff is very knowledgeable! They have an excellent selection of plants and trees to choose from. I really liked the special touches- offering our daughter a free plant, helping her bag lemons they offered to her and I was extremely impressed they had and offered plastic covers for our vehicle (it's the small things that mean a lot) I would give this nursery a 12 out of 10!!! read more

Such a beautiful space with lots to see and lots to choose from. About 2 acres! My mom and I met Angelina and one of the owners, Alex. Great people. They helped us find a Crepe Myrtle tree which we couldnt find in our local Lowes or Home Depot. (Fairfield) They deliver ($45) and will install ($75) which I feel is a reasonable fee. 10/10 for service and selection! Updated review 4/3/24 I called El Rancho today to ask about any warranty available. One thing that wasn't mentioned before we left, the day of purchase, is that there's a 60 day warranty on the tree, BUT, only if El Rancho installs it. I'll just say, It would've been very nice to know that beforehand, just for future reference. read more

I was looking for lemon trees and called to make sure they had it before I went. A gentleman answered the phone and confirmed they did so I went over to check the nursery out. The moment I showed up there was a friendly gentleman named Ray who greeted me, he asked me if I needed help and showed me where I could find my Meyer lemon tree. I was planning on 2 trees but he told me that a single tree alone would yield a lot of lemons, maybe mix it up with a mandarin orange tree. I took his advice and had a few more visits where his family and other employees I've encountered were really friendly and helpful with recommendations. Now I've ended up buying a bunch of sage bushes to plant out front, a couple of kumquat trees and next May I plan to get a calamansi tree. And there's something magical about coming here. I like exploring the variety of fruit trees, cypress trees, succulents, bushes...the plants seem really happy here. Asides from me, there seems to be a lot of repeat customers. Had I known this business existed I would have bought my cypress trees here. read more

Do not trust these people! Worst customer service experience ever. I bought over $200 in plants and they were infested with termites. I called to request a refund or at least credit (anything please) and the owner said sales are final and that I should just throw it away. I explained how the termites that dropped from the plant near my house could cause an expensive termite problem at my home but he didn't care. They have everything from exotic to common plants and trees. Also, if you have a special request, rest assure they will put in the effort to get what you ask for. My fiancé and I shop here all the time (have acre to fill), so far we have bought big trees and small trees and since we love all kind of plants they also have indoor selection to choose from. Last Fall, bought a large Japanese Emperor Maple to go in our front yard on recommendation from staff, after looking at pictures of sunlight exposure and placement. Paid extra to have it planted with a guarantee to fix it if it didn't thrive. It immediately started dying. We called to have them come out and take a look per the guarantee. They did and changed nothing. Tree now dead, "guarantee" expired. Nothing to be done about what was ultimately a $600 waste. read more

El Rancho nursery is by far the #1 nursery in Yolo and Solano county as far as cost, customer service and plant selections. Customer Service: I was greeted with a beautiful smile and asking if I need help by this young lady. Then I saw Maria and asked her for succulents. She showed me all the different kinds they had. I told her I was making a wreath and she gave me a huge big rosette cutting. A+++ Cost: Cheapest by far compared to home depot, Ace and local nurseries such as Lemuria, Redwood, Amazon, Etsy etc... I could have saved so much money if I just started my shopping here. Countless Plant Varieties: They have so many succulents (bigger, more mature), roses, trees, flowers...you name it. Actually, I loved Alex and others who have helped me and I want them to be successful, so, because I am a pretty attentive gardener, I have a comment for the owner who seems to have no flexibility. A the time my newly purchased vine was in a wonderful location and had all its needs met but did not ever thrive and then died so I considered the plant defective. I was willing to make another purchase and would have valued any discount of goodwill and she denied it. I do not appreciate a business owner who does not appreciate a good customer. Oh my goodness! We shall never buy plants/bushes anywhere else! This place is WONDERFUL! The size of the property and variety of flowers, plants, bushes, trees is AMAZING! Not only can you get just about anything but you can guarantee the people who run this place know their stuff! They helped us pick out exactly what we were looking to accomplish and the health of their stuff is so good, they really take care of everything they sell. I have had the displeasure of waiting for service for over 2 months. I was scheduled for service the last week of June this year. As of 7/05/24 I am still waiting. I have had zero calls and I have been home every day waiting. No service. The owner said she going to take on this project and put it on the schedule. It's clear that the nursery takes great pride in customer service and nurturing their plants. We live about an hour away, and we make the drive because it's quality and so much more affordable than the nurseries closer to the bay area. Family-owned and operated...it's just a vibe! We bought a lemon tree that is so fruitful, a cool apple tree that has six different kinds of apples (yes six!) on one tree, small flowers, herbs, and a few veggies. We're eating delicious tomatoes, squeezing fresh lemonade...and I can't wait to harvest our apples. We'll be back to El Rancho Nursery. Worth the trip! read more

Bought a persimmon tree. Was told by owner if they planted it and it died they would replace. Paid the extra fee for planting. His guy showed up took out existing tree which was growing. He planted the persimmon tree and cut my water line off without my permission. I was lucky to have saw him do this but said they know best and thought of their guarantee. When I questioned him about it he said the tree didn't need that much water and left. 9 months later tree is dead no new growth at all. Called owner he said would replace but did not have any in stock call back in couple of months. Well I called back 3 times and said never had any in stock. So the last time I called left message never called back. I just want the same tree or different fruit tree or a refund. Will not return calls.
