I really wanted to like Sweet Peas but during the last visit, I was made to wait a couple of mins while the cashier talked to her friend before she acknowledged me. And then continued to talk to her friend while helping me. No one else was in the shop. It was really awkward and did not make me want to come back, especially when there are so many other nurseries to visit in Vacaville. read more

Chloe was awesome .....she showed me a few medium sized house plants in my price range. Saw so many plants I want in the future. I love they are local and organic plants. They had 3 beautiful kittens up for adoption that my guy fell in love with and played with them while I shopped and checked out. I'm in love with this place. Their staff is incredibly welcoming, helpful and friendly. ALL of their plants are organic, which is a huge plus for me. They have a wonderful variety of succulents/cacti, spring vegetables, flowers, and indoor house plants. On top of all that, they have an amazing selection of pots and adorable garden decorations. Impressed by this nursery! Came in to get a gift for someone in grief. Was looking for something low maintenance so stumbled upon this cactus nursery. Honestly was just expecting cactuses but found myself in amazement at their spring plant starters, but in awe at their selection of house plants!! Beauties galore. Variegated peace lilies, black antheriums, and even simple philodendron cordatums. Everything was well kept. Employee was amazing, even helped me find and tie a nice bow around the plant once she realized it was a gift. Can't wait to come back here! read more

This place is simply amazing! The name Sweet Pea's is such a perfect name for this very sweet place. I tried growing my veggie plants from seed and it x didn't go well I went to Sweet Peas and purchased all my veggie plants. Everything was very healthy, reasonably priced. I went again this week to get more and to ask questions about how to make these pesky bugs stop eating my basil! I was looking for a local nursery to purchase several bags of potting soil. Came inside the store on a Friday afternoon, two women were at the register, I stood there waiting for them to finish so I could ask them a questions about the potting soil. Neither of them made eye contact or acknowledged my presence. After 5 minutes, I decided to leave since I assume they didn't want my business. If they were busy, they could have simply acknowledge my presence and ask me to wait. If they were closed, they could have told me so. Brenna the owner is RUDE, it amazes me that a woman of her age that owns two businesses can be very rude, if you want to have customers keep coming back, I'd suggest not to be rude with your customers and not snotty. They don't allow returns or exchanges on plants, i just purchased arugula the other day and it already flowered... I love and (hate) coming here..... hate cuz I always end up buying more that I planned too :-p lol.... So you see my pit lab will tear through all his chew toys so quickly, making it hard to find him something that will last longer than normal. Everytime I come here, I find plenty of chew toys and then treats :-p. For a small place they are not over priced, if anything I say the prices are quite reasonable (always a good thing) all the staff I've ever interacted with has been friendly, helpful and nice. My husband and I came in months ago and arranged to order ~30 plants to landscape our backyard with a variety of succulents. We sent an email with our selections as previously suggested with the store owner/manager and never received a reply to our email. We decided to go for a drive on Valentine's Day. When we arrived the place was not that busy, but we were quickly dismissed by the lady who i will assume was the manager and told to come a different day. We mentioned the email we sent. She quickly checked her email, told us it went to spam and shrugged it off. Then she said she could not help us because it's their busy day being vday and all. We turned and left the nursery because she basically asked us to. We wanted to support small business during this time for our project but will probably just order our plants online. read more

I always attend sweet peas events and annually get a wreath from them. However I went in last night to purchase some poinsettias and was very disappointed with the service. I walked in and was greeted as the employee walked out towards the xmas trees. She then got on the phone (which is fine as I just got there) and i needed to time to check out the poinsettias selections. Unfortunately none of them had prices on them so that information was vital in my selection process. I patiently waited for her to come back and stood inside for about 10 min. I made sure to stand facing towards her and not looking at product so she would see I needed help. She got off the phone and I figured she would come back to check on us, but she then proceeded to make another call. I had my son stand outside so she can see we needed help but then she got off the phone and chatted with the other employees by the xmas trees. I ended up leaving and went to home depot. I completely understand the toll covid has had on small business and that stress levels are high. But coming from a customer service background the expectation is we always want to take care of the customers in front of us. Just to note... there were no other customers there at that time, but at least 3 employees. I took the time to bring my son down there because he loves to just look at everything and enjoy it during christmas time.. Sadly It was a very disappointing experience. read more

I came here a month ago looking for a ZZ plant to add to my collection of house plants. When I arrived, the staff was so kind and helpful. She pulled together all of the ZZ plants for me so that I could choose which one I preferred. They have a decent selection of houseplants and a wider variety of outdoor plants and succulents. They even have community events from time to time including their Fall Harvest coming up on September 25th. I hope to visit again soon. read more
