UPDATE: Over a year later and we are still so happy with this company! The fruits are delicious and our plants are still thriving. We developed a pest on our tangelo, and they correctly identified it and suggested a treatment. I call them when I have questions about things like pruning, nitrogen levels, etc. and all their employees are always (still) beyond helpful! :) ----- Eric at Lemuria was beyond helpful. We wanted plants for our front yard which are: - Drought resistant - Native to our climate - Attractive to birds and bees, especially hummingbirds - Low maintenance ... and beautiful! And we got them, with Eric generously sharing his knowledge. This is really a wholesale plant nursery that is located well out of town...but it's open to the general public too. It's not quite as consumer friendly as some in-town nurseries. It doesn't look like the garden section at Home Depot or most nurseries that cater to individual consumers. It isn't pretty, it's big and sprawling. The plants are in buckets on the ground. The "aisles" can be muddy. So, why go here? The answer is the wide variety of trees and plants of all kinds, and the expertise of the owners and employees. These folks know plants, and they are not only knowledgeable about the plants but also the soils common in the area. If you're worried about getting mud on your shoes, put on some boots and visit. I think you will be surprised by the inventory of plants and pleased by the knowledge of the owners and staff. Highly recommended! read more

On mid Aug-23 I went there and bought several plants and spent more than $490.00 dollars in which out of all plants were 12. Sunset Gold plants. After I planted all of them 3 of Sunsets Gold didn't look healthy and didn't make it. On Sept-11-23 less than a month after I took the 3 dead plants back and the owner who had very arrogant attitude said he's not going to replace or refund anything and I have to buy 3 of those plants. I told him he is offering a very poor service, he's respond was he has cheapest price which I told him he is not correct and mentioned two other places which have the same price. He lies to most customers and not a trustworthy person and places to do business. Customers should be aware of not to fall in his trap and lies. A person who does stand for quality plants he sells. read more

This nursery has it all. My father and I came here a year ago and he got his pick of Maple trees he was searching for while I dropped my daughter off to college. A year later, I decide to revisit this nursery to get my own Maple trees because of the beautiful trees my father bought last year. If you like plants, coming to this place is like a child walking into a candy store. I can't believe I havent left a review for these guys yet. I've been doing business with Lemuria for the past five years, they are awesome. They have an extensive selection of plants, shrubs, and trees. Their drought tolerant varieties are unparalleled by any other nursery in the area. They also have the best prices hands-down as they often sell to some of the other nurseries who then mark up the prices on the same plants. A bit 'out of the way' from Sacramento, but worth the drive. We have a 'native California low water landscape and plants we want are difficult to find at Home Depot and even Green Acres nursery. This place had what we wee looking for and much more. I am new into bonsai, and finding good plant material to use is hard as I am in Vacaville and the only choices I have are driving way out to the bay area or way out the other side of Sacramento. Well I found this WONDERFUL nursery in Dixon and I am beyond happy. Row and rows of plants and trees of all different sizes and types and all looking healthy and happy. I left with a Japanese Black Pine and a Bloodgood Maple tree that has some wonderful possibilities. Best part is the people are friendly and helpful. Walked me to each area to look at the trees I was looking for. Made it all very simple and easy. read more

This is one of my favorite (non commercial) nurseries. Wide open so be prepared get dirty. They have rolling carts for your plants. The plants are nicely sectioned off; for example grasses in one area, succulents etc. Plants can be nicely healthy or just repotted but it's nice to know where they come from. Also that the plants will grow as they are native to our area. They have a fall special 20% off and I think in the spring too. Two brothers run the place. Very nice and helpful. read more

This is an absolutely wonderful nursery out in the country. It has so many different varieties of beautiful very healthy plants and trees. We could spend hours walking down a child looking at the different variety. The owners are amazing people and even gave us tips on how to load our trees correctly so they would arrive home in one piece. I can't recommend this place enough! read more

This review is actually for their presence at the plant sales from the UC Davis Arboretum where Lemuria Nursery had a table with various plants on display but not for sale. After moving up from the Bay Area I finally had the opportunity to plant my garden. My neighbor told me about this place and I am so happy I checked it out. It's acres of interesting things. They have veggies, landscape plants, and trees and the staff is very knowledgeable and kind. It was 103 the day I pooped by, so I didn't have the chance to explore as much as I would like to. I got everything I needed for a late vegetable garden. I will be back as I need to plant trees on a 400' line of fence and I think they will be a great choice for that project. Almost all the stock was dead or about to die-- I came to buy 65 plants to redo my front yard. Iwas one of two customers there. Walked around for about a half an hour and went up to the only building on the premises. A man (I assumed was the owner)was yelling at an employee and barked "what do you want?" I asked him if there was a warranty on the plants and he said "no"-- I said some of them (actually it was most of them) looked like they might not make it and he told me "then don't buy them. Large supply & friendly service. Brought our daughter she had a blast (friendly dog, loose chickens and a bunny). We bought a totally of 39 plants with 6 being tree and was just over $300. Called today 11/20/20 to see if they had Walla walla onions in stock and it was my lucky day they had some left. I was bummed when I noticed they closed at 4pm being I wouldn't make it to them by then. I was able to pay for it over the phone and they set them out for me to pick up after hours and tossed in some yummy looking persimmons. This is my first visit to Lemuria Nursery, but it will not be my last. The gentleman who helped me located the rosemary that I was looking for was super nice and friendly. The plants are all so pretty and healthy. And they sure do have a lot of varieties. The also have a cool dog and chickens, which brightened my visit. They even helped load all my plants into my car. What a great place. I can't wait to go back again. Next time I won't buy so much so I can go again! I totally recommend this nursery. I've worked closely with Eric and Pete from Lemuria for the past fifteen years since I've been in business. I've always appreciated being treated with respect and with a sense of humor. They are knowledgeable and dependable and have a wide variety of plants. When I need plants that are not readily available they order them and are received in a short period of time. They are the best place to go between Sacramento and American Canyon that have an excellent selection of plants at reasonable prices. They have also graciously donated plants for the music boosters of Vacaville for the last several years. I would recommend Lemuria nursery for both residential and commercial plants. This is a great independent nursery. They have an AWESOME SELECTION of California natives and perennials as well as some unique plants as well. In addition to ordering plants from Wholesale Growers, they also grow and propagate their own plant material too. The nursery is about a mile and half off the freeway so it's not in the middle of town in a fancy retail location. If you're looking for a nursery with Fountains and lots of Garden Art this isn't it. If you're looking to save a lot of money and you're looking for plants that are different and better quality than those at the big box garden center, Lemuria is it. As a Landscape Designer, I've purchased a lot of plants from Lemuria for not only projects I've designed, but my own yard. Not to mention, I worked in and managed a local nursery and a California Certified Nurseryman. so I've got a decent amount of experience to say that I highly recommend Lemuria. read more

Lemuria is a great nursery. They have a good selection of landscaping plants. You won't find the typical big box store petunia assortment. Instead you will find a great selection of perennials, roses, flowers, shrubs and trees. They get some very nice trees from Dave Wilson farms (which incidentally has an excellent website for tips on selecting trees). If you're looking for vegetables you're out of luck, I don't believe they carry any. read more

I am a new home owner and I just landscaped my front yard and am doing my backyard currently. I know absolutely nothing about plants except I know what I like(look wise of course). I went to Lemuria and asked for there advise. I told them my situation and lack of knowledge of plants. I pulled out my phone and showed them pictures of trees and plans I liked.(they immediately knew the style/look I was going for). I told them I want plants that don't need me to babysit. They recommended many plants that I should get and most important the ones NOT to get. They also helped me with ideas on placement and told me how to water them. We drove to Dixon to check out this Nursery and I was a little less than impressed! Sorry to say it was a bit of a mess. There is not good signage to see where the office / persons working here and chicken poo everywhere...sweep the floor! When we finally did find someone he won't even look us in the face while we talked to him. We had at least a 5 to 10 minute conversation and the gentleman just looked out the window most of the time. I have to say it does make me confident in what he was saying. I'm hoping this was just an off day...Sorry don't like to leave bad reviews. I don't think I would go back! read more
