A small out of the way place with friendly service and a drive-up window which is so important during these trying times. I ordered a Carne Asada Burrito smothered in green sauce. My burrito was highly specialized, I asked what was in their Carne Asada burrito, the list was long and many of the items (Pico, Guacamole, etc.) I preferred not to have so I got mine with meat and cheese only, then had them smother it in green sauce and cheese. The burrito was good, but not great. The size was good, the meat was tender but not overly flavorful, the green sauce was very mild. Overall, the experience was good but I am not inclined to rush back anytime soon. read more

Wanted to try the El Rancho in Kingman since we live near the one in Golden Valley. Walked in and it is EXACTLY the same set up! I mean exactly! Crazy! Didn't get to try the food because we were not greeted or acknowledged it wasn't even busy. The one waitress finally said Hi as she slapped the menus and silverware down. We just looked at each other and get up and left. No THANKS would rather go to Golden Valley El Rancho they are busy always, but at least you get acknowledged. Wow just wow! Tried this place without much knowledge or any recommendations. We went for lunch at noon and it wasn't too crowded. We picked our own seat and were promptly served. The waitress was prompt and our food came out quickly. Bathrooms were clean and available. Husband ordered a burrito and I ordered the taco salad. Our side order of chips/salsa was delicious. The meat in both of our meals was well seasoned and flavorful. We plan to come back soon and often. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Kingman. read more

They are trying hard, friendly waitress, fast service and the food is above average for this area. In my opinion when you post a sign that states: "We Have The Right To Refuse Service to Anyone" is pure hateful. Yes you have the right to refuse service to anyone so why display it? Best Mexican food I've ever had. Tamales were fantastic. Stopped here on our way home to Phoenix. Got our meals to go. They were still hot when we got home. The beans are wonderful. Maria the cook sent limp, old fries to my table. When l complained the old bag got her panties in a bunch and put them into the fryer and sent them out again. I refused them and had them removed from my tab. The rest of the food was mediocre and because of Marias ugly disposition l won't go back. Worth the drive from the freeway! Stopped in on the way back for Vegas. Was greeted with an abrupt yet friendly "what'll you have?" While they do not have margaritas or any alcohol, I can vouch for the delicious tacos, Chile relleno, chicken enchiladas, and tamales. The salsa seemed homemade and was super tasty! read more

Waitress good. Cook- meh. Went to El Rancho Restaurant on Friday. Very bad because of cook Maria's despicable, unprofessional behavior. Ordered fries with my meal. Meal came 5 minutes after everyone else's. Fries were very NOT FRESH cooked. They were not hot but limp. I asked waitress if they could be dropped again for a few seconds to crisp them up. When they came back to the table, they were smothered in a peppery powder, like seasoned fries, which I never order. Maria apparently displayed just how classless and unprofessional a person in the service industry can be. I told friends what happened, and they were appalled; said they'll stick to the other Mex restaurants in town where this kind of thing is unheard of. read more

Being a graduate of a culinary school, I'm very picky about restaurant food. El Rancho's is my fav for Mexican food in Kingman. Why? The chicken fajitas and the breakfast burritos. Yum! The prices are very reasonable to start, and then when the plate arrives you can't believe how much food they just sat down on the table in front of you. Jose (owner) cooks with a unique blend of spices that you can't get anywhere else - delicious! I can never eat everything on my plate, I always have to take some home for a midnight snack. The place is immaculately clean - something I'm REALLY picky about. The service is amazing. The ladies that serve you make an effort to get to know you and treat you like a friend they are happy to see when you walk in the door. They make you feel like you're having lunch with them in their own home. Oh yah, have to talk about this. The deep fried ice cream. CRAZY!!!! A huge scoop of ice cream covered in crispy corn flakes, deep fried. Served in a deep fried tortilla shell and smothered with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Always order several spoons so your friends can help you eat it. Unbelievable! read more

The food isn't bad but the service is lousy. The tea tastes like dish water and the server grumbled and moaned. She never once came back to check on us or give refills and just slapped the bill on the table when we were half finished eating and turned and walked away before we could speak. she never turned around to make eye contact with us. I've been here a half a dozen times and each time it seems like it has gotten worse. What has happened to small diners and friendly service? Being made to feel like an outcast when dining out should not be allowed. Being made to feel like you are putting your server out when you want a refill should not be allowed. Come on people.... I've been here twice, and both times I've been pleasantly surprised it's not just for the quality of the food, but with the quality of the clientele and staff. It seems that this is the restaurant where a lot of the locals go to relax and talk amongst themselves.
