I believe this is a family run restaurant . When we walked in my first reaction was joy because it was so cheerfully decorated. We both ordered the build your own combo, I had a chicken enchilada with chili relleno and my husband had a beef enchilada and chili relleno . The chili peppers were nicely charred and the relleno had a teeny bite. The enchiladas were delicious. Sadly, my beans didn't have cheese; however, I wouldn't have noticed if my husband hadn't pointed it out. I ordered a glass of house Merlot, and received a very generous amount. I asked the young man helped his sister serve us about the decorated chairs. He told us his mom had them done in Mexico. They were obviously hand painted and very beautiful. read more

After a few hours on the road we were finally able to take a break and settle in. We check the review and chose to try this place out. It was close to our hotel and had ample parking. The restaurant has no natural light and has a weird smell when you walk in. We go seated and we're quickly attended to. The drinks a good and so was the drinks. The chips and salsa also hit the spot. I forgot to take pictures of the food, but my cousin and I cleaned our plates. This is a must try if passing through this area. read more

Oyster's was a nice surprise. We chose it due to its easy access from our hotel, and we were pleased that it lived up to online reviews. The inside is inviting, with Frida Kahlo décor and a quick, attentive staff. We enjoyed our guac app, large meals, and even larger margaritas. read more

What a great find. First, let me say I'm not a sea food person so don't be scared off by the name. There are plenty of traditional Mexican beef, pork, and chicken options. This was my 3rd visit and each time we've had wonderful food with family-like hospitality that you generally would only receive in Mexico. From good chips and salsa, to samples of their home-made flavored tequila that they shared, the food is a solid 4 stars and the service is a 5. Food was OK, service was great, pollo Lucero is NOT white cheese sauce, just sprinkled with colby jack so this is a great option if you are watching what you eat, and the cooking juice soak into the rice, quite tasty! While the food and drinks were enjoyable, the service not so great. When we got there, it was not busy at all but still service slacked. Then when the restaurant got filled, it got even worst. I definitely don't think this lived up to the hype of the recommendations. Just not worth going back to. read more

While both our Mexican and Seafood are great we specialize in our Seafood selection. Both owners are from the ocean coasts of Mexico; Acapulco and Mazatlan. Thus, each dish, whether Mexican or Seafood, are prepared with our delicious homemade recipes. Additionally, being that our staff is comprised of family, we pride ourselves of making each customer feel right at home.

History

Established in 2007.

Our restaurant's experience has been in existence for years. Our restaurant experience derived Mexico from our grandparents. Taking the knowledge and extensive experience and the accumulation of delicious recipes we established our Oyster's. The name Oysters, on the other hand, came from a personal experience. One day while visiting Mexico we encountered a spectacular event. We saw a particular business thriving and the name it had was "El Ostión." The owners of Oysters' figured that naming the restaurant Oysters' (translation of ostión in English) would also bring that great vibe and name distinction to Kingman, Arizona. Though our name is Oysters' and we sell oysters, keep in mind that our food selection is not limited to our name.

Meet the Business Owner: Vicente and Ofelia P.

Oyster's Mexican and Seafood Restaurant all started in the heart of Kingman (Route 66), AZ in 2005 with the combination of two traditional family recipes comprised of traditional Mexican food with a great twist of seafood from the North-West and South-West coast of Mexico. Vince Prado Sr. along with his Wife, Ofelia Prado, combined their gourmet and business experience to bring you the delicious flavors from Mazatlan and Acapulco, Mexico. In all my years of eating out, this was the first time I ever had to walk out of a restaurant due to the rude behavior of the Waitress. Went to eat with 3 other people. First we were told they weren't open yet, although the door was unlocked and it was 11 am when they are suppose to be open. Set down, was told we could not set there and to move, ignored us, then came over and threw the menus on the table at 11:10, When I asked what the days specials were, I was informed to go look for myself, they were on the board outside. What is available is sub-par and not very palatable; ie. beans, salsa and cheap meat. The only positive remains the service, Victoria does a very good job serving and tending bar(mostly alone) I'm afraid this place will not survive without the availability of better food. Mostly the restaurant is too noisy with "juke box" music. Someone who knows how to run a successful Mexican restaurant should take over before it's too late!!!

Out of 7 tacos I normally get 0-2 small fat pieces. My husband is a Taco Bell guy but once he had some carne asada tacos from jj's he was no longer a Taco Bell guy . Burger and fries . Their fries are good and are seasoned . The burger was good I wasn't a big fan of the patty but the buns were crispy on the edges perfectly toasted . My husband loved the burger and he ate the fries he never eats fries really .

The breadsticks were basically a 10 inch cheese pizza with more dough and less cheese, but they were still pretty good. The pizza came about five minutes later and the personal pizza was a tiny pizza, maybe around seven to eight inches, and the pizza was good, but not too great for its small size. Still had leftovers, though. Service was good. When someone comes into here, they have to look at the menu upfront and order at the counter, find a seat of their choice and fill their drink and then it goes from there. Pretty simple. Floyd's seems to be a Stubborn soda fan, which I approve of. The man at the counter actually recommended the breadsticks, and now I realize that the pizza isn't enough to fill me or most anybody. It's mostly an at-the-counter style service, except they bring the food to you. Inside was great. The entrance is a little tight, but there's two sides of the restaurant and I sat down in the right side from the door, so I can't say about the left side. One of my favorite things inside was the drink machine had those levers on it, it just felt much better to pull that for drinks than pushing a button. Overall, Floyd's is a great place to eat for everyone. The food is good, the service is great, and inside is comfy and wooden. One thing I would hope for Floyd's is to make their pizza bigger, their personal pizzas are much like those kid menu pizzas. I'll probably try a sandwich next time. Thank you.

A couple days ago I came to Calico's for dinner and I tried a new menu item. It's because of great…read morethings like these that I am a returning customer of Calico's. I ordered the Beer Battered Atlantic Cod basket with fries, and for $13.99, the cod was not only delicious and crispy, but the fries were just excellent with the fish as well. Not only that, the portions were very large, too. I was super full after that meal! I will absolutely order this again, just thinking about it makes me hungry. Service was top-notch, as usual. There is not a single day where I have came in and it took more than 10 minutes to be seated and have my order taken. Everyone there is so friendly, and it really felt like the service was so good there, they were only serving me. That's just how fast it is. Inside is always great, too. Calico's has a large range of artworks, trinkets, and more. They showcase R66 stuff, too. The inside is never too hot or too cold, and it's all clean and comfortable with a massive space inside. In all, Calico's is not just a little place off the road. It's got excellent food, incredible service, and a welcoming environment. I do recommend for anybody looking for these things. Thank you!

I splurged a bit more than usual on myself and went with the dinner Basil Chimichurri NY Sirloin Strip. So glad I did!!!! So glad to custom my order with the waitresses input. The side salad was very good. Then the sauteed asparagus was delightful. Instead of ordering the curious Cactus Blossom as an appetizer, I took her advice and ordered a smaller portion as one of my sides. The steak arrived just as I ordered it. Perfection and delicious. I didn't mind trimming the fat as it was necessary for flavor during the cooking. Too bad the small hill of trimmed fat equaled 1/4 of the whole steak. The second most priciest meal on the menu but that's okay, YOLO.
