We didn't have reservations, but they are quick to accommodate and get you in. It's a bit of a walk down the stairs leading into the cave, but the descent is interesting. They have many servers available and QR code menus with free wifi available. They provide you with chips and two salsas while you wait for your food and drinks. Most servers speak English, which is needed for all the tourists that dine there. The drinks were delicious, pricey, and fun. I got the chapulín margarita, which reminded me of a Bloody Mary. You have to try it at least once. Although, I did like the other drinks more, such as the Jamaica Margarita. The food was tasty and well portioned. I recommend trying their underground oven meals like the birria de borrego (mutton) and mixiote. They give you fresh tortillas and more salsa to accompany the food with. Finally, the servers tell a folklore about the cave origins and give your party a candle to place on one of the cave walls. A really nice touch to the end of the meal. This is the place to check out when im Teotihuacan. You pay for the experience, but it is unforgettable.

They have plenty of soft drinks, beer, and a full bar, but I recommend trying pulque, a fermented agave drink that's about 5 percent ABV that you can only get in Mexico. They offer a variety of flavors with fruit and even chocolate. I got the Huarache (sandal-sized sope) with filet steak and it was hearty and delicious! The steak was tender and well seasoned while the lettuce and cotija on top were fresh. Mi esposo got the Barbacoa Tradicional with soup, tortillas, a dab of guacamole, and a bit of nopales (cactus) salad. Although it was good and presented nicely in the sizzling stone bowl, the portion was quite small and left my husband hungry an hour later. I wanted to try their land and sea molcajete, but I just couldn't bring myself to spend $26 (US) on it and be disappointed. A friend ordered it and said it was okay, but it didn't look nearly as good as Los Compadres'. The other dishes my friends ordered seemed average at best, but we were all hungry and left mostly full. Service was friendly and attentive, but some dishes came out at varying times. La Higuera wasn't terrible, but I would not return, mainly for the overpriced food and drinks.
