I've only been here for take out and only got pupusas each time. Since I've lived here, I have not had another place for pupusas that hit like these. They definitely satisfy my cravings. I have had most of their flavors minus the one with zucchini and the one with shrimp - not my choices when it comes to eating these. Not once has this place missed! Hot and ready to be devoured with their salsa and slaw. Pork and cheese is my favorite, but honestly I haven't had any that I did not enjoy. Service is consistent, polite. I know some don't speak English at all or well enough to converse, but they always have went to get someone that does speak both English and Spanish so that's no problem here. Lobby seemed clean. My classmates (whom I tested for black belt with) and I went and celebrated earning our black belts and higher degrees) by going for Pupusas at El Rincon. It is conveniently located right near our Kearns dojo. I can't remember exactly what I ordered, but I did have an empanada a some pupusas. All the food was great and super filling! The staff was super helpful. It wasn't super busy when we got there, so we got to enjoy each other's company and conversation. Delicious pupusas. They stuffed to the brim with fillings. At first sight, I thought they made the pupusa dough too thick, but when I opened into it, the dough had a great thickness and SO much filling. The curtido is delicious too - perfect combination. This restaurant is my favorite in all of the Salt Lake Valley. I love papusas so much, crisp with the queso or carne asada. Don't forget the cabbage salsa and hot sauce on top that they serve to every table. I love the empanadas, fried fresh and made from plantains with either milk or frijoles inside! (I like mine without sugar so I can taste the sweetness of the plantain.) The family and staff there are so friendly, patient and kind. I ordered 4 "pupusas reveltas" a side of refried beans with Platano Maduro" and Horchata El Savador style. The food is great. The pupusas had beans, cheese with Loroco and the pork. The taste delicious. Not greasy like other places. The refried beans and platano maduro were great as well. They came with hand made tortillas. The price is great. The cost for a pupusa is 2.45 per. Still love this place and we go with family for pupusas, but I've ventured off into other parts of the menu the last few times and I am glad I did! The section of the menu entitled "Panes" must not be missed. If you're wondering what that is, don't be afraid. It's just sandwiches. I've tasted them all now and my favorite, hands down, is the carne asada. The meat is tender and rather than veggies this sandwich is topped with a rice and beans mixture and crema. This place was so hard to find, the GPS had us on the other side of Bangerter. Ended up following my sister in law and being extra late. Place was packed and that didn't stop the awesome waitress from keeping up with everything. Food took quite a while to come out as was expected since it was so busy. Once the items started making their way to our large table, we were in love with the presentation of the food. They make everything fresh to order, you can see when walking into the restaurant a small window into the kitchen with the cooks working away. My little brother suggested this and he did good by me. The worst pupusas I have ever eaten. The pupusas they sell in this business are huge, pupusas are not supposed to be this big. The ingredients for the pupusas are of the worst quality, they seem like stuffed tortillas. This is an awesome local Salvadorean Restaurant. It's definitely hidden next to an apartment complex so you'll need to keep an eye out for it. I've been here a few times and what I enjoy the most is that it is a traditional salvadorean restaurant. Not only do they offer salvadorean meals such as pupusas but they also offer a variety of bake goods. On my most recent visit I had a pupusa revuelta, which is a mixture of pork, cheese, and beans, and a pupusa de loroco y queso. Both of these were fresh, full of topping, and very delicious. The service is also good, usually it's the owner's son working as a server. The appearance of the restaurant is cozy , nothing fancy but clean with several booths. In general I really enjoy having dinner here and would definitely be back . The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because they have weird hours and it's a little difficult to find. read more

I download Yelp app just to make a review of this place: is not a good place. Period. But come and feel the bad service since you step in: they make sure they make you feel ignored. They guy at the front desk harly will notice you and you will be given a table number and tell you to go to that one, then wait for 20 minutes until someone finally ask you if you"ve been served. After 45 minutes waiting I got up and ask if everything was OKAY with our order (try to do this, se what happen) "is what normally takes" so if you are local and have no hurry and no problem waiting an hour for your food to be serve, you are fine. This is my favorite El Salvadorian restaurant in Utah. The pupusas are extremely tasty but not greasy like most that I have eaten. They have the typical de queso, frijol, y revuelta. Outside of the typical ones they have gourmet pupusas made from steak, chicken, and steak. My personal favorite is bistec encebollado. The seasoning/sauce that drenches the steak is a typical onion flavor but with tang that I haven't had anywhere else. My heart is content! I have found my go-to Papusa place. This place is tucked away in a small shopping center. Could be hard to find if you are not paying attention. The service was excellent. Super friendly and comfortable. The food was amazing. You can taste the love in every bite. I ordered the combo so I could try a lot of different things. We also ordered various papusa's. Cooked perfectly, so fresh. My favorite was the chicken. When I go back, and I will be back... I am going to try there soup. It looked delicious with big chunky veggies.
