Greasy tortilla and chewy meat
Lea G.

I was hungry after shopping and wanted a quick taco before I went home to cook dinner. I chose this place because it had a drive-through and a few five star reviews at a quick glance. I went through the drive-through which took forever. My Kearny Asada taco was a good price $3.18. That's where the positive ended. Two street taco size flour tortillas that look like they had been dipped in grease. The Carne Asada was chewy and not a lot of flavor. The salsa, or pico that they put on there was OK. The green hot sauce was fine as well. All in all very disappointing. I will not be going there again.

Camarones A La Diabla (Shrimp in Chipotle Sauce)

When my husband and I were looking for a place to eat Mexican food, we were not too sure about this place, however, we decided to try it and we are glad we did. We had camarones a la diabla and they were delicious. The flavor, the texture and the presentation were just perfect. The food portion was generous. I also saw people around me enjoying some caldo de pollo and some birria these looked delicious. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The place was nice and clean. I would definitely come back to this place.

They charge a "to go" fee. This place just keeps ripping me off. Last Time here
Leona T.

First time here they gave me 2 enchiladas instead of the 3 I paid for. Second time here I realize they charge a "to go" fee just for NOT eating there. Their prices higher then sit down restaurants prices and the food was mediocre. They are open late that's why I went there. There's another place called Muchas Gracias that is open close by and they are cheaper, no sneaky fees and the food is amazing. GO THERE, NOT HERE!

Don't let the outside or drive-thru window throw you off if you're looking for legit Mexican food. This is the place. Ample seating and friendly staff. Food will not disappoint if your looking for authentic Mexican food.

Breakfast Burrito - Chorizo
Greg K.

We rolled through the drive through a little after opening and decided on a breakfast burrito along with chips and salsa. The chorizo burrito was pretty big for the price (~$9). The burrito had a good mix of ingredients, including actual hash browns. This is such a nice touch. A lot of places give you old fries or those weird "breakfast potatoes", but there are no corners cut on their spuds. The chorizo had good flavor, but didn't ooze grease out of the tortilla. Their hot sauces were also complimentary to the flavor of the burrito. The chips and salsa were also very good. Service through the window was friendly enough. They definitely are making the food to order, which is a good sign. We had asked for them to cut the burrito in half for us, which the said they would do. Unfortunately it wasn't when we unwrapped it. This didn't ruin the experience though. I'd definitely be back in the future.

What a sleeper!! Outstanding service! Our host sat us and brought us chips and salsa quickly, then within a few minutes we actually had one of the owners, Josè, come by and ask how we heard about the place and take our drink orders. He explained that this is their second location (first one is in West Linn), they don't use any MSG or frozen food, and they only have one fried dish on their menu. We ordered house margaritas and taquitos from the happy hour menu, and the molcajete. Everything was fresh and delicious! We got a 2nd round of margaritas, they make their own mix in house and they were so tasty! We went at 5pm, so they weren't super busy yet, but there were still quite a few tables filled. The place is bright and clean.

Tried this place for the first time…read more Hotel receptionist said she'd never eaten here. I should have taken that as a subtle recommendation. The good: plenty of parking, plenty of seating. Spanish speaking staff. Warm chips and good salsa. Decent rice and beans. The not so good: taco shells were not made on site, seem to be from a package. The margarita was not tasty, the mix was off and the house tequila was not so good. I could only finish half of it. Being my first time, I asked for her recommendation from the hostess on what to order? Instead of rising to the occasion, she immediately said I don't eat meat then proceeded to tell me about all the high dollar meat items. lol I could not take her recommendation to heart. I went with a somewhat safe bet of two crunchy tacos. The rice and beans were decent. The shells were crispy but flavorless. The salsa and chips were decent. The chips were warm. I finished the two tacos half the margarita and left. Would I go back here again? Probably not, with so many places to eat in this area, but I had to give it a shot. I overheard the table next to me complaining about their fajitas. The gentleman said "this is just Chuck steak" and I had to laugh out loud before I left. Disclaimer. I live in San Diego and judge Mexican food for its face value. I was not impressed. But maybe be i was there on an off night?

Bland...just very bland food. I love combo platters for the variety. Ordered from the "build your…read moreown plate" menu. Got two items with sides of rice and beans. Everything seemed freshly made and very hot. But there was very little flavor to speak of. The refried beans were just glop (when did Mexican restaurants start using this runny paste?) Rice was fluffy, but I topped everything with salsa to add some flavor. There was a side of white stuff that looked like sour cream but wasn't (crema of some sort?). It was slick on the tongue and had NO flavor. (see the pattern here?) Hub's dish was just chopped veg and chicken in some sauce. Truly, the best part of the meal was the hot chips and salsa. Staff was nice. Place was clean enough, but a bit musty smelling in the entry way. Don't think I'll be coming back...I make better at home and for less than $40, for lunch, for two people.
