El Jefe Birtia & Tacos - food truck 13808 NE 28th St., Vancouver WA 98682 Food is consistent, friendly people, tastes amazing so much that I'm hooked. I love their house made salsas and sauces. The price is reasonable $$

Breakfast burritos are the best here. My favorite is the El Mexicano that has the right amount of chorizo, beans, egg, cheese so good with the avocado salsa. Kids like to do the original with sausage or bacon (hashbrowns, eggs, cheese) with the green salad. So good...... horchata and cucumber lime frecas. Lunch time my husband loves the Quesabirria it's a taco with melted cheese (think soft taco had a baby with a quesadilla). My husband loves these... I'd go for a breakfast burrito anytime of day but it's only served until noon. I'd say I've been kinda disappointed in the regular tacos and would go for a burrito here. Seems to be where they shine- burritos and quesabirrias. Food cart style, they have seating outside. Otherwise we eat in our car or get it to go....

Tried a new spot today. Great price on the breakfast burrito. Burritos were good size, salsa was flavorful but it was lacking a little bit of salt. Friendly service and the food came out quickly. Overall happy with what we got. Would have gotten 5 if the hash browns had a little more salt. But I'll be back to try some tacos for sure.

I actually ordered the street tacos combination from the El Jefe Birria & Tacos food truck on 78th & Hwy 99, across from the Joann's Fabric store. The tacos were so delicious, I didn't need the salsa. For my 3 tacos, I chose birria, pastor, and carne asada. Went well with the rice and beans. Service was good. There were some seats in front of the food truck. But I brought my order home. Definitely try this place, if you haven't done so already. Delicious, authentic Mexican food.

Stopped in for an 'a la cart' snack. This food cart was extremely quick with friendly service. Since it was a cold night, went with a large consume broth (which has meat) and a single beef taco. Both items were packed with loads of flavor. I will be back!!

Wow! Wow! Wow! I'm a quesabirria snob. I'm trying everyone's and I'm yelping about it. El jefe is top tier! I'm blown away by the flavor, the juiciness, the everything! Horchata so yummy, perfect amount of cinnamon. El jefe es el número uno para mí. I"ll be eating more soon.

We Doordashed from El Jefe for dinner and very much enjoyed our orders. My husband and in-laws got the nachos, which came in generous portions. I got the birria tacos, with cheese added. The tacos came with sides of rice and beans. I especially enjoyed the salsa verde packets.

First time here and food was great! The tacos were flavorful & it was even better with the sauce packets that it came with. We didn't receive 1 item when we ordered for pick up. They forgot the consommé, which was a bummer. Service was okay, not welcoming but all in all, definitely coming back to try other items on the menu :)

The restaurant was clean and I love the festive vibe. A lot of vibrant colors and beautiful tiles. I like the high back booth seating. It gives more privacy compared to the table seating in the center of the dining room. We ordered a grilled chicken taco salad and chorizo sope. Everything tasted fresh and portions were adequate to the pricing. Overall we enjoyed our lunch experience. We will be back to try their other offerings. Would definitely recommend.

Spanish speaking staff. Warm chips and good salsa. Decent rice and beans. The not so good: taco shells were not made on site, seem to be from a package. The margarita was not tasty, the mix was off and the house tequila was not so good. I could only finish half of it. Being my first time, I asked for her recommendation from the hostess on what to order? Instead of rising to the occasion, she immediately said I don't eat meat then proceeded to tell me about all the high dollar meat items. lol I could not take her recommendation to heart. I went with a somewhat safe bet of two crunchy tacos. The rice and beans were decent. The shells were crispy but flavorless. The salsa and chips were decent. The chips were warm. I finished the two tacos half the margarita and left. Would I go back here again? Probably not, with so many places to eat in this area, but I had to give it a shot.
