Being a tourist type of place El Toro Bravo employs people to stand on the street to try to tempt you into their establishment (As do most of the eateries and bars) generally I ignore them because having been visiting the island for 15 years I already know where I want to eat. But the nice lady who does that job for El Toro also happens to drink in the same bar a I do whilst i'm there (Ace of Spades,see review) and she is really friendly too,so when she asked if we would like to eat there it would've been rude not to. I went in there both in 2011 and 12 and had a really nice steak both times (Sirloin with garlic for me and Fillet for Mrs Z) also the sizzling prawns in garlic to start are also stupidly nice too (and I don't like prawns!) We shared fries and parmagiana tomatoe salad. We couldn't finish them. Dessert was a sweet lanzarote wine and a cognac for himself. There are some tables on the street, but not many and the bottom floor is mostly kitchen. But on the top floor there's a nice roof top terrasse with a nice view of the street and parts of the historic parts of Corralejo. The menu offers meat for steaks or burgers in various combinations and weights as well as a great list of incrediences for your personal burger. For size, your burger can be anything from 120-500gr of meat, possibly even more. I tried a 300gr burger which wass very good to handle and was almost perfect in taste. This was the best burger in town and, as far as we cold try, the best we found on the island.

Downstairs these guys will prepare your meal in full view, chopping up the meat, into the meatgrinder, make a burger, grill it, bam!! They're not lying when they said fresh meat. What I love most is that you can choose it's weight: 100/200/300/500 grams. This is perfect because I can never finish those big ones and they end up falling apart most of the time anyway. So I was pretty happy to go for a 100grs burger with cheddar, tomato, lettuce and onions. They let you order all of these toppings with no extra charge. You can choose the type of meat, even order just a burger without the bun. The bun is soo good though, it was just perfect. You can get a pretty big portion of fries on the side for just €2,50. Staff was also lovely and we ended up going back here a week later cause it was so good. Highly recommended if you want to be sure of a properly made burger.
