Birria quesadilla with yummy broth

My husband says he feels like he is at home. He had the chicken mole with beans. And I had the papa & frijole flautas. We shared the birria quesadilla. Amazing!!! All great flavors. Service was outstanding! Carmela is the best. This will be our new go to when we visit. And the chile - hot but good! Place was nice and clean!

Carne es su jugo with no bacon. Just jugo.

I really wanted to like this place! But the food was awful. The carne en su jugo did not have any bacon in it, the chips were soggy and the guacamole was tasteless. And we received minimal attention and service. Made me sad cause this place is in such a great location.

I've been back a few more times with friends and colleagues all happy to report consistently fantastic delicious Jaliscan dining served up. I've since tried their version of flautas which are quite delicious. Choice of beef, chicken, cheese or potato. Only 11-13 pesos, they make a great side item, appetizer or bundled together for a meal in themselves. Latest visits, I have enjoyed the Birria again as well as the Arrachera Marinada (Grilled marinated steak).

Small restaurant with good food options. I had the mole enchiladas and they were very good. The guacamole was a good choice fresh and delicious. The staff could of been more attentive but the food was good.

The food is good. Not very many choices though. I love the location, right on the main plaza.

Patio Elegance at Real San Pedro…read more Real San Pedro in Tlaquepaque is more than a restaurant--it's an institution. The courtyard, cooled by Guadalajara's air and framed by open doors and windows, feels open yet welcoming. Inside, the walls are dotted with striking art, unique decorations, and large windows that pull every room back toward the heart of the patio. On Saturday afternoons, a live band plays gently in the background, giving the whole place a festive but unhurried rhythm. We started with sparkling water mixed with the traditional suero of salt and lemon--simple, refreshing, and perfectly suited to the warm afternoon. Guacamole came fresh, framed by crisp corn chips along the edges of the plate. The real star was the corn tortillas, served piping hot in an embroidered sack made just for the restaurant. Soft, fragrant, and full of flavor, they were so good we ordered a second round without hesitation. Service was attentive, though at moments it felt a little rushed. For mains, we ordered two classics. The Chile en Nogada arrived with a thick sauce made from evaporated milk, sugar, cream cheese, almonds, cinnamon, and even canned peach juice. The result was overwhelmingly sweet, drowning out the other elements like the meat and pomegranate. The Carne en su Jugo, described as meat with vegetables, came instead as a brothy, spicy soup. While not what we expected, it was hearty, comforting, and deeply flavorful. Real San Pedro draws many Mexican visitors, and it's clear why. With its mix of tradition, atmosphere, and lively energy, it's the kind of place that invites you to slow down, eat well, and soak it all in. #RealSanPedro #SaboresDeGuadalajara #Tlaquepaque

I walked in and the only thing I felt was their face looking and staring at me , I did not feel welcome, it was not just one person but the 6 ppl that were sitting in two tables. I could not believe that in Mexico I would ever feel unwelcome just bc of the color of my skin. With tears in my eyes I walk out bc the ppl there were very obvious and just with their nasty stares kick me out of a restaurant. Never in my life have I experienced this kind of situation.

The place is is wall to wall tables and they were all filled when I went. They have table clothes (not fancy, but nice) and fried torillas (like chips, except full rounds) on the table with three kinds of salsa. The service was good and the food came out lightening fast. I am a vegan and I went because Yelp says that it is vegan friendly.... which is hard to find in Guadalajara. I only saw one vegan option, which were potato enchiladas. They were good, but they did not blow me away.

We had cafe de olla and some dishes that made for an amazing brunch. We ordered a plate of Arrachera with tortillas and Bistec Encebollado (steak with onions) with beans. On the same plate we had chicharrones en salsa, a breakfast staple in this city. To balance the heavier dishes we had a Jugo Verde drink made from fresh pineapple and parsley. The staff were so friendly, we felt at home with the kind approach and nice ambiance. The decor is traditional and tasteful, we had such a fun experience. We dream of this breakfast and want to return with our sons soon. Try some amazing food here next time you're in Guadalajara, Jalisico Mexico!

You have to walk up at least four different sets of stairs, so this is certainly not for the handicapped! The rooftop terrace for a restaurant was quite beautiful. Its got a touch of foliage and great interior design to keep me looking around. Our waitress was kind, decent with english, and prompt to our needs. We got there 40 minutes before the mariachi band was about to play. I hate live music when eating, especially when it involves screeching trumpets. Maybe this is a plus for you, but not for me. The Pina colada mocktail was delicious here! Like coconut ice cream, with a decent amount of cherry flavor in the mix. I like the cherry on top for garnish and dynamic. I imagine with alcohol it's just as good. Their queso fundido is quite satisfying. Big gooey globs of stringy salty cheese drive right. Get the chorizo and mushrooms with it, because it makes it 5 times better. They dont cut either item into smaller chunks, but it's still quite satisfying to get everything on one chip. I ordered the sugar cane taco, but ended up with the skirt steak one. It was super basic, with no seasoning, felt like a burger with the lettuce and tomatoes, and the meat was cut in a way where the meat was quite dry and stringy. Avoid this particular taco. The hibiscus taco will not be for everyone, but it was a fantastic foray into sweet and savory. It's like a condensed Jamaica drink but with all the other usual savory components of a taco. The pulpo here is pretty decent. They don't over season and the texture is fairly soft (although there's not much spring). They pile on the avocado on this one! The beef flauntas are quite satisfying. Crunchy outside, bursting with corn oil, and with a decent amount of veggies and crema on the outside. The plantains flameado is quite simple, but if you like brandy and soft, sweet plantains, then you will enjoy this. They don't give you much else other than a creamy sauce to dip the plantain.
