Our pickup orders were repeatedly incorrect, even after multiple visits. Staff acknowledged this had happened several times. When we asked to speak to management/the chef, we were refused, and some comments made during the interaction felt discriminatory and disrespectful. We were disappointed by the lack of accountability and professionalism.

We tried this as take out and absolutely loved it. Love the large portion size and they had it ready for us on-time! Everyone at the restaurant was friendly even for a pick-up order. The order was correct, we didn't know what to expect but we really enjoyed everything. The tacos were amazing, very filling and flavorful, they go great with the salsas they have available (with to-go containers!). The chicken chimichanga was super flavorful and full of filling. The green enchiladas with carne asada were tasty, not what I expected but really good and with a nice spice to them. Also, the wings were surprisingly good!! We are from Colorado, and craving good Mexican food. This was a winner. I only wish they had green chile, a girl can dream. I look forward to coming back.

We went on a Friday night, a friend of mine who is a foodie recommended this place. Location: it is located in a shopping plaza Parking: it's free and there's plenty Service: the service was simple, she took our order and brought it to us. I wasn't impressed with the service - I had to go to the bar to get my ticket and when I went up there nobody even looked in my eyes or asked what I needed. Food/drink : 3/10 my boyfriend enjoyed his food he had the Al pastor tacos. I had the steak tacos with beans and rice - it wasn't good to me. They did have a salsa bar which I liked. Will I be back? No. Didn't like the food and the service wasn't the best.

Authentic Mexican cuisine for sure! Food was very delicious, and to my surprise I came at the best time for the $2 margaritas they were amazing!! The location is very laid back with great music. The waitress and bartender were fast and very kind. I'll be back for sure

You won't be impressed by the outside. You won't be impressed by the inside. You WILL be impressed by the food. So you always start with chips and salsa, but they take it up a notch here. They give you the normal chips and a salsa with some chunk of tomatoes, onions, cilantro and other seasoning that is clearly visible. It's clearly made in house here. I loved the flavor of all the ingredients; my only note is that it was a bit too watery to substantially stick to the chips. Small thing, but I did think about it on each chip I ate. If for any reason you want a different salsa than the one that is brought to the table.....THEY HAVE A SALSA BAR! I think that is really cool. Lots of different homemade salsas you can try. As if that wasn't enough, they also serve a Mexican rice and chicken soup to start. It was even better than the salsa. I got the carnitas for my entrée. Might be the best carnitas I have had. The pork was so incredibly tender and juicy on the inside and the outside was the perfect amount of crispiness. Sometimes I think places get too much crisp on the outside making it either burnt or at least dry and hard. Not here as it was absolutely perfectly browned and crisped. I will say don't be ordering these expecting a lean cut with fat trimmed off. They certainly left it on here, but if you are ok with that, it will really add a ton of flavor and juiciness to the dish. They serve it with rice, beans and a Mexican salad, and some tortillas as well. All of those were very good too and I especially liked that the tortillas were slightly charred on the grill before serving. If you don't need ambiance and just want some really excellent Mexican food, come here! It's the best place around.

This place saved the day on my first birthday aka Cinco De Mayo! The original restaurant that I always go to was packed (which fully surprised me) but I remembered El Rio and always wanted to try it since moving over here. I'm so glad and satisfied I went there. The waitresses were very nice and working hard. She recommended a few things and clarified my confusion on the burrito combos. The food was amazing and mouthwatering! The guca could use a little more salt but other than that this will definitely be my go to Mexican restaurant from now on!

Passed by several times and went on a whim with my cousin. Was served promptly and food was out within 15 minutes. You have to ask to refill your chips and you refill your own salsa from the bar after the first one. Was excellent and the maiz tortillas were just as good as when I was in Mexico previously. Can't complain. I spoke Spanish which the servers preferred. Horchata was rich and not watery like most places. Will come again

3 stars for the food and cleanliness of the establishment 1…read morestar for the haphazard customer service I've been in GA 5 years and this Mexican place was SEASONED AND REALLY DAM. GOOD. Like you could smell good food cooking. I've tried Pollo Asados at a few places and they just didn't have the grilled chicken flavor, and they didn't have onions or jalapeños, all fails. El Arroyo was authentic, the grilled chicken was giving exactly that grilled TODAY. Seasoned, grilled and appropriately charred, onions and jalapeños tender. Oh AND FRESH. The beef tacos were very seasoned and NOT DRY. OH, almost forgot the 2nd best part... their beans and rice is made with vegetable oil not lard, I didn't try the beans cause I didn't want to risk it but I did taste a spoon on rice and it was seasoned and flavorful too. My sister who doesn't eat pork either did have the beans and she hasn't said anything about feeling any kind of way but she did say they were good. 1 star I understand you want to make sure I know what I'm ordering, trust me I do. It becomes combative after awhile. I've been eating authentic Mexican food all my life. With that... I can't wait to try more items from the menu.

It was busy during the early afternoon with many call in orders and locals stopping in for lunch. I recommend calling your order in, unless your dining there. I just ordered a chicken sope, which did not disappoint. It was hot, fresh and a nice portion for $4. Chicken was seasoned well and was layered with lettuce, sour cream, cheese, tomatoes, and pinto beans! Honestly I could've eaten 2! They do lots of affordable family size meals with whole chickens that seems really popular as well. That's next on my list of things to try out!
