El Rio was generic Mexican food. The servers were very nice. The service was a good pace. They leave you with plenty of salsa.

This is what a chile relleno is: Chile relleno translates to "stuffed chili pepper" in Spanish, originating from Puebla, Mexico, as a dish consisting of a roasted pepper--typically a mild poblano--stuffed with cheese (or meat), dipped in egg batter, and fried. It is often served covered in a tomato-based salsa, offering a savory mix of melted cheese and crispy coating It is not traditional to use bell peppers for chile rellenos, as the dish is historically and fundamentally defined by using specific chile varieties. The most common and authentic choice is the poblano pepper, though Anaheim or Hatch chiles are also frequently used due to their similar size, shape, and ability to hold a filling. While you can use bell peppers as a substitute--especially if you want to avoid heat or cannot find traditional chiles--the resulting dish will differ significantly in flavor and texture. Unlike the thin-skinned, mildly spicy, and earthy poblano, bell peppers are thick-walled, sweet, and lack that characteristic "chile" flavor. If you choose to use them, consider roasting and peeling them first to improve their texture, as you would with a traditional poblano.

Received almost immediately & not stingy on the salsa or chip refills. Didn't even have to ask! Our waiter, Ali was great and attentive. I had the Cazuela Bowl and the Happy Hour Marg, and ate and drank every bit of both. I would definitely order again. It's also decorated very cute in here. Not a traditional Mexican restaurant decorated wise. There are also TVs and such if you're trying to watch a game, etc. I don't live near here but would absolutely go back when I'm in the area!

The vibe is absolutely incredible. Our favorite server Omar was there to greet us. He's always the best. He makes the best menu suggestions and was even going to create a custom one just for me. We stopped in for the game and some light bites, and I decided to try something new: the Bob Marley Margarita. Let me tell you, it was outstanding. The flavors were enchanting, and it even came with the cutest little duck on top! We spent the entire game soaking up the atmosphere and stuffing ourselves with endless salsa, queso, and warm tortillas. It was the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. If you're in the neighborhood, you have to check out the new Hacienda. It's so nice to have this amazing spot in the community! #ashsaidit #dawsonville #hacienda
