We received the menu was it wasn't offered up regarding their Tuesday specials so I'm glad we asked. We tried both the chicken and ground beef tacos. The ground beef was a bit salty. Not impressed at all. We ordered queso with our chips. The queso did not come to the table until 2 minutes before our meal. My wife got a 3 enchiladas meal. The 3 enchiladas were very small, the size of a highlighter. 1 enchilada at our local Mexican restaurant is the size of all 3 of theirs put together and you get 4 on the plate for $14. Here it was $19 for the 3. It is very over priced. The food was ok, reminded me of Taco Bell with a hefty price tag. Tequila Spice down the road in Sevierville is 10 times better. We usually like to go to this restaurant when we are in town my husband had a taco salad and it looked like they took the beans in the meat and the cheese and put it on the plate and mushed it together and put a little lettuce on it. It was horrible. We won't come back because of that. read more

Trying new Mexican restaurants being a new resident to Tellico Village. Being from California and not having any issues of getting Mexican food there I have high standards for mexican cuisine. Was warned that good Tennessee Mexican food was hard to find. Walking in i found the place clean and was greeted immediately. We opted to sit at the bar for lunch. I ordered mixed chicken and steak fajitas to set the bar on their food comparison. I found the steak was average but the chicken was under-seasoned and slightly overcooked. Lunch was average at best but no sparkle that made me say I got to come back soon. Middle of the road Mexican food with little to compare too but California Mexican food. Disappointed with the service here tonight. Been here multiple times and tonight was the worst service I've had at any restaurant. There were only 3 tables in the entire restaurant and nobody left happy. I came with four people and two of our meals came out wrong 3 separate times. My group didn't have silverware for at least 5 minutes after we got our food, our drinks were empty since before we got our food and weren't refilled till we were almost done eating, and after our waitress brought our food out wrong the second time we didn't see her for the rest of the night. Tried this place tonight and other than some of the workers on their night off visiting and being a little rowdy, the food was excellent. I had the Chimichanga Mexicanos and my wife had Salsarita Especial and both were really flavorful and fresh. They had a live 2 man band and that was really good as well. Neither could decide which one was their favorite because they were all delicious. I had the Camarone Mexicana. Generous serving of large, tender, spicy shrimp cooked to perfection. I love spicy food & this was definitely exhilarating to the taste buds. I expect the Camarone Diablo to be hawt. All veggies were fresh and abundant. Love this place! We went here for the first time today and it's been one of several Mexican restaurants we've tried in Tennessee since we moved here a year ago. I grew up in Southern California and lived in Las Vegas for 15 years; I guess I have pretty high standards for Mexican food. My mom and I shared the Burrito Grande with chicken and it was so goo! The chicken had a great grilled flavor, and the cheese sauce was amazing. My husband got the steak fajitas and he loved them as well. They had a GREAT salsa bar with different salsas and sauces, jalapeños, other toppings, different levels of heat. The service was great as well, they were very attentive and we didn't have to wait long for everything. TVs were playing soccer and it definitely had all the decorations I would hope for at a authentic Mexican restaurant. We will for sure be back and are already planning our next meal read more

This is our favorite go to Mexican. It's typically no waiting except on Sunday for lunch. Bar/drinks are good. The Authentic MX tacos with steak are my favorite especially if you load them up with onions, cilantro and hot sauce from the bar. My spouse typically orders chicken fajitas. Having lived most of life near the Mexican border, I am always a bit apprehensive about Mexican food restaurants outside bordering states, but we were craving it. Their chips and salsa were decent. The place is bigger than it looks from the outside and gets busy on a Sunday night. The menu is extensive, and also includes a large cocktail menu. I tried the Tennessee Moonshine Margarita- it was quite tasty. My husband had the mango daiquiri, which was good, but too sweet and creamy for him to finish. Now, for the food. Lots of variety. I chose the pollo con crema- chicken with onions, mushrooms and cream sauce. It was very good. A healthy portion and not overwhelming. The refried beans were very different, creamy with a gentle kick of spice. The rice was decent. The Hubbs ordered the fried tilapia- a whole fish fried- fins, tail, head and all. Not my thing, but he loves them and it's a cool presentation. It came with rice and what was supposed to be a guacamole salad, but it was just lettuce and tomato. What cost them a star was service. Once our meals were served, we never saw him again. They were clearly understaffed- the three servers were hustling, but taking care of about 30 tables that all came at once. We had to hunt down our server to get a bill. I truly hate being held hostage when I'm ready to leave. Overall, a pretty decent place. read more

WARNING! The way this restaurant celebrates birthdays is to bring you a dessert, have all employees come out and sing and then they smear a HUGE AMOUNT OF WHIP CREAM ON YOUR FACE. Yes, you read that correctly, we had a Sunday lunch to celebrate the birthday of my niece. She met us on her way to work and had already done her makeup and hair. After they finished singing happy birthday one of the servers pushed a pile of whip cream in her face and all in her hair. It also got all in her contacts. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day, but today this place really sucked. Food wasn't good and the service was even worse. Early afternoon on a Saturday. Waited inside the door for several minutes before being acknowledged. Prior to that several employees, including the one who must have been off duty or on break while drinking at the bar, looked at us but then looked away. Maybe only one waitress was working... Finally got seated. Lots of long waits during the meal and didn't see much of our waitress. Food wasn't good. We got an enchilada and were told there would be no onions in it. Not true. Wings were average at best. Arroz con pollo was too salty to eat. Beef tacos were "fine" according to my wife, but she said they were salty too. Cheese dip was below average. The food was delicious. Service on refills was slow. When we got there the cigarette smoke and smokers were right in front of the door! It was terrible to walk thru. The inside needs an update and good cleaning.The paint is chipped off the walls, the front door has lots of holes in the window filming. We wanted this to be our "go to" Mexican restaurant. It's near other businesses we frequent. Unfortunately, numerous visits have resulted in the conclusion there is a culture or "take it or leave it" so we'll leave it. The chips are fresh and crispy/not greasy, the salsa seems fresh, they have an expansive menu. However, their dinner portion is the same as the lunch special (tried this three times), no refills on iced tea unless you press the issue, wrong tortilla with meals (more than once and there are only two choices), they fail to serve sides but charge full price and so on. A few of the staff we've encountered seem ill-at-ease, uninformed, uninterested in mastering their role of welcoming guests and seeing to their needs, and not that concerned you'll return. read more

What a great addition to Lenoir City cuisine! We were so sad to see the Mexican restaurant leave when The Burgers came to town. But, This one is superb and we love it. Every time we have come here, the food and service has been spectacular.
