Ever since this place opened, I have been wanting to visit, and within the recent two months, I had the opportunity to go there twice, and my experiences did not disappoint me. It was truly a neighborhood gem that satisfied my taste buds. My favorite dishes were the quesabirria platter, the honey macha wings, and a few of the street tacos, specifically the pork carnitas and the pork al pastor, because both were pretty juicy. One major advantage this establishment had was the kinds of sauces they had, because innovatively, they had some chili oil hot sauce that I enjoyed putting on my street tacos, even if it wasn't the most common combination. The carne asada steak street tacos had their own sauce called "salsa real" which was pretty tasty. All of those dishes had good flavor and were juicy. Other than those, some of the street tacos relied on the sauces for juiciness, and the meat themselves were a bit dry (carne asada, for example). The pork al pastor gourmet tacos were a bit dry as well, and relied on the sauce on the side for flavor. The churros were a bit hard, and because of such, I couldn't really use them to pick up the chocolate sauces. The tres leches cake lacked some sweetness, but was on point in terms of consistency. There are still some dishes on the menu that look appealing, so I am certain that I will be back, especially since I live very close to this restaurant. We bought chicken and steak tacos, corn and cake. We got takeout but it was a nice, standard restaurant vibe inside! I contacted the business on instagram prior to going because I was so excited lol I like that their staff was on top of the social media. The food was great. I came here because they have hand made tortillas! I got the chicken, asada and marinated pork. All were great but my favorite was the chicken! Definitely the best chicken taco I've had in a while! Great new taco spot! It's a super cool building with a fun aesthetic inside and the patio looked nice as well. The staff was awesome and our service was great, they were fun, friendly and helpful. I'm a sauce fiend and they have a ton of options so it was helpful to get their take on what they recommend for those especially. We got a few different things to try, the street tacos seemed popular and those definitely delivered and the quesabirria platter which came stocked with 3 tacos, consume, pickled veggies and beans & rice. The highlights for me were the consume which was rich and flavorful and the salsas. The guajillo salsa that came with the quesabirria platter was to die for and stole the show, it was smoky, creamy and delicious! You also have to try the Salsa Real which is their house salsa, beware if you aren't a spicy fan but I am and it had amazing spice and flavor and definitely gave the guajillo salsa a run for its money. This fast casual establishment is just what you need when the craving for Mexican cuisine hits. We went towards the end of the day and had the place to ourselves to chit chat. The staff was welcoming and kind to let us stay until the very last minute to enjoy our food and conversation. I had the quesoship and it was 10/10. Three shrimp tacos plus rice and beans. And an under appreciated side of three lime wedges instead of the typical one. Others order tacos and the bowl. Everyone was a member of the clean plate club. We left full and happy. Delicious new spot in walking distance from my house! Had chips & salsa, two street tacos, Gordita and churros. All were very good. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. Woman who took our order was extremely pleasant, friendly and patient. Good came out quickly and was piping hot. Everything tasted super fresh. The avocado salsa on the Gordita was delicious! First time here after seeing their ad on Facebook yesterday. My husband and I ordered from the gourmet menu section. The gourmet plates had 3 tacos and depending on kind of meat and style, the pricing is different. My carne asada steak was flavorful and I liked that their in house corn tortillas have structural integrity and doesn't fall apart from the sauce like most places where they need to serve it with 2 tortillas. The cucumber lime drink was refreshing. It was good and glad we came to try it out. A little pricier than most taco places. Counter order than they bring your the food to your table with a number. Not much interaction once the food is delivered to your table. It's in the location of what used to be a Greek fast food. Small dining area with outdoor seating but no umbrellas so on hot and sunny days, it can be unbearable to sit outside. They have only been opened for 2 days. read more

This is high-end Mexican food made with love. I talked to the owner who told me you wouldn't believe what goes into making a taco. This is not a place that cuts corners on ingredients or anything. This is a small former Taco Bell location, but it is nicely and simply decorated, and the surface is amazing. You can eat outside there's multiple tables inside or take it to go. I really dislike rating badly especially when I really wanted to like it however, the food was just ok and wayyyyyy too salty. It was almost inedible because of how much salt there was. Sadly, it won't be a place I return to with so many options out there but I do hope they succeed. I feel everyone should give them a chance. Very happy to have El Taco Real in our neighborhood. The food is great! Team members are kind and seem happy to be there. We have visited three times since they opened, and the food has been consistently good. When we last visited, they were still working out a few things, including matching the description of accompanying items to what's printed in the menu. Second visit here. First time the street tacos came with a small cup of guacamole Second time-no guacamole. My husband ordered 3 street tacos and had to pay extra for some more hot sauce. When you pay that much for a taco you shouldn't have to pay extra for some hot sauce. Business needs to reconsider this. Consistency is important. read more
