I was worried we might not get a table quickly, but we arrived at the perfect time on a Saturday and were seated immediately. We ordered a couple drinks, perused the menu and ordered the ceviche and street tacos and chicken tacos and everything was fresh and delicious. Our server was helpful, Attentive without hovering. They even walked us to our table and later showed me where the bathroom was, which I thought was a really nice touch. As for the food, it definitely lives up to the hype. It's on the pricier side, but everything tasted incredibly fresh and was well worth it. We ordered the enchiladas, which were delicious, and the shrimp was probably my favorite part of the meal because it was so fresh and perfectly cooked. I can definitely see why this restaurant has been around for so long and has such a loyal following. It took me way too long to finally come here, but I'll definitely be back. One thing I'm noticing as we do these is that you often write reviews that are genuinely useful--not just "food good/bad." This place used to be my favorite al pastor in town and for my birthday this past March we had some friends over and my wife ordered 100 tacos. Nothing was labeled and tacos were crammed into boxes so to grab a taco you inevitably touched someone else's to find out what the hell kind of taco it was, just so dumb. They've also always been SO tight with their salsas but the last two times we went put us over the edge. We went thru the drive thru and ordered 6 tacos. She asked what kind of salsa we wanted so i prefaced with "Ok 6 tacos, six salsas, so we'd like three verde and three molcajete thanks!" - Drove up and we were charged for two extra salsas. I asked why and the guy said "it's one for two" I said does that mean if i order one taco you don't get a salsa? He replied no, if you order one taco you get one salsa if you order two tacos you get one salsa. I asked how does that make any sense? What if its six people going their separate ways and want their own salsa? I got a blank stare. I'm thinking this is a classic Larry David Curb Your Enthusiasm episode where he drives through the line 6 separate times in circles and orders one taco each time out of principle. On top of that we get home and WE ONLY HAVE 4 SALSAS FOR 6 TACOS OH THE HORROR. But seriously, charged extra and didn't even get what we paid for and the tacos are WAY smaller than they used to be. I wrote them privately and got no response so here is your public review El Tacorrido. You have lost our business over nickles and dimes and I will no longer recommend your fleecing ways. The food was inedible the first time we went so I never would have gone back - but then my kid just wanted a drink so we stopped.(The barbacoa had no flavor, pastor was bitter) Literally 12 minutes after an arrogant and rude window worker took our order - and talked on the phone, and chatted with coworkers - he finally came back only to ask what we ordered - which was two drinks! Came here yesterday on a Sunday morning. Carne guisada is amazing, make sure to try that out if you ever come here. They also do a really good job on the breakfast tacos, I ended up getting a couple of those. Very very cheap food, only a couple of dollars per tacos. Food this delicious and filling + very cheap price... leads me to have to hand out a 5 star to these guys. The quesadilla and tater tots were good too, always nice to have a safe option at a place. Torchy's is just a good taco spot with such a funky and eclectic menu which makes it fun too. We really liked the added outdoor aspect of this one and can easily see us coming back due to the pet friendly convenience.

The service is pleasant, and the ordering process is simple and efficient. You order at the counter and they bring your food right out to you. My favorite tacos are The Republican and The Crossroads, both of which are fantastic and make me want to come back. Their queso is pretty darn good too and pairs great with the tacos. If you are looking for delicious tacos, great outdoor seating under the oaks, and a relaxed vibe, Torchy's is a cool spot and I'll definitely be coming back.
